I just started using the Dr. Nicks Growth Stinulator oil. I'm excited to see any improvement that can be offered. My personal view is that if something is proven to be beneficial, and you haven't tried it, theres a lot of potential for gain. I understand nothing in life is a guarantee, (exception for death and taxes) but I also understand that there is always potential for growth. Not just talking beards either.
Honestly Minoxidil does work like magic. In 7 months I went from only a goatee and literally 10-15 hairs on cheeks to a pretty full and decent stubble. I'm not planning to stop just yet either, probably going to do 2 years at least to reach genetic limit. Also there's been no side effects other than dry skin and getting more body hair in general. Peo also works, but it's nearly not as effective as Minoxidil. Works well as an addition tho.
Oh nice, can speak well of Peppermint Oil, will have to give Rosemary a try. Love my scents coming from essential oils that do something more then just smell wonderful
Hi Dan, first time I heard you mention hair transplant in your videos, I only commented on one of your videos the other day saying I had a hair transplant on my lower face to fill in baldness and im not even 6 months in yet and its looking good, 6 months all the hairs would of grown through and 9-12 months is full density burst period which at that point my beard will look like yours ;) would be good if you did a video on hair transplant to fill in patchiness and bald spots, I'll happily give you all info you need :)
Great vid Dan! Quick question, if I were to use peppermint oil, should I only use that for a while or can I use beard products like beard oil, beard wash, beard balm and so on?
My beard is not an issue. I am at month 6 pretty much untouched and fairly thick. I have always worn my hair kind of long, and have serious thinning on top for several years. Can the essential oils help to stimulate head hair growth? Thanks for the videos-have gotten some good pointers on your channel!
It's pretty easy to add some essential oils to my butter at night, so I'll be trying this. I've heard rosemary oil is good for head hair, but bad for beards. No idea what the science is there. I have part of my chin that seems to grow shorter than the rest of my beard and it sheds more frequently. It doesn't seem terminal (in the parts of my beard that reach terminal length, the bulk of my hairs are roughly the same length) nor damaged, so this might help.
An absolutely fantastic informative video Dan! I know a bunch of guys will find a lot of value with this one. I did try Minoxidil and it did give me heart palpitations, remember I was a smoker for 15 years, (quit 8 years ago) so that could be a factor too. I can honestly say it almost felt like a nicotine high after I would apply the Minoxidil. Wild right? So I stopped right away. I noticed bird oils, ostrich/emu, really help me a lot with the dormant hairs on my cheeks. Also CBD oils are fantastic for this for me, with the anti-inflammatory qualities it has. Castor oils I really like too… like your hat.. wink wink.. Artius Man is my go to for that Great video Dan! 💯👊🤘
Dan, I have a question. What is your recommendation for using peppermint essential oil on the beard? I know it is strong, so 1 drop to how much carrier oil? Thank you so much for these studies you present.
One thing I do not feel comfortable recommending is potency for essential oils. If you look up IFRA and do a little research, I think you will find the way 🤝 it’s just an issue of safety and liability for me
Is there any magical way to achieve growth in patchy areas? I know, the length of the upper hairs could potentially cover it at some time - but what if they don't?
That’s what this is all about! Exfoliate, wash daily, and try some ingredients such as peppermint essential oil, castor oil, rosemary oil, rice bran oil, and more! If you want to try something made and easy, give the growth stimulator oil a chance by Doctor Nicks= www.doctornicks.com/danc * DANC = 15% off
Hey Dan, quick question, I’ve noticed I have a lot of white small hairs in areas all around my beard, are these small hairs indicators that my beard will get thicker and fuller with time and do they all grow to larger proportions, or is it just some that grow larger while a most stay small forever?
Dan, does peppermint and rosemary EOs help with head hair or is it just to the beard? Also, what is the recommended carrier/EO ratio for these? Thanks.
I don't plan to do minoxidil again. I care too much for my head hair. But what brands are the most efficient and their application along with your other beard oils?
Apologies for the confusion. My question is what brands of Rosemary or Peppermint essential oils do you recommend and how do you apply? Do you add it with your everyday beard oils? Separately or instead of your beard oil and finally what beard brands either have those ingredients or can be combined for optimal chance of growth? I know 1 question turned to several... but aside from the accelerator which I just ordered... I am really staying committed to the "stay bearded, stay positive " mantra which I would add "stay healthy and stay blessed". (That's a cool Tshirt idea... I may design one)
I would just stick with the accelerator each night before bed. That’s going to be your best bet! I do not recommend working with essential oils unless you really know what you are doing, because they can be dangerous
@DanCBearded any butter would work? I currently use Shea Moisture, Honest Amish, Ryieshi, and Scotch Porter... After I run out of those, I want to upgrade into the Beard Octanes, Detroit Grooming, Bearded Mack, Bastard, Bad Ass, Fabled, and maybe Magic City, among others. Live Bearded and the Bearded Struggle also call out to me a lot. That's kinda where I am heading, but there are so many options... and I want to gradually get through all of them before settling on a brand that I love and smell phenomenal.
Great video, not sure if it can help me, I had 33 radiation treatments to my neck during cancer treatment, do you think there is a chance or not. My entire neck was red with chemical burns basically, left my beard with some pretty bad patches in it.
One of my Chiefs when I was in the Navy tried Minoxidil, went from totally bald to full head of hair. Then he immediately stopped, total E.D. Hair fell out, E.D. went away. He chose love over hair 😂
Dan, if a hair comes out with the white bulb, that means it was the end of its lifecycle right? So let’s say a hair comes out at 2 inches with that bulb, does that mean that the hair that replaces that hair will only grow to 2 inches? I’m at about 3 inches of growth now but lose a few hairs daily. Also, when are you getting your T levels checked? And for the free, when you were talking about stress and how many times you’ve mention it, you shoulda said “I can’t stress this enough” lol thank you thank you I’ll be here all week 🤣
Hey man! If there is a white bulb, chances are it was at the end of its current healthy life cycle. That can change with time and because of many variables though. For t levels, no plans to right now. No concerns over here. I will at some point in the future though, as all men should once they get to a certain age or notice concerns
DC: You could be rich. If you have a way to make beard hair grow for anyone. Even moreso if you can make head hair grow back. Maybe even a bit of a fortune if you can make all the unwanted body fuzz stop growing. I WILL pay for two of those!
No, I did not say anything about that. That is a different process of trying to activate collagen. They can work and I do recommend them for some, as long as you do your research
Yes i know Dan you didn't say anything about Derma but you said if there is no hair follicle it won't grow i use the stamp for 4 months already and i see no difference on on my beard cowlicks on the left side that i wanted to fill it up that's why i wanted to make sure if i'm not wasting time on it @@DanCBearded
@@scyzorpl hey brother! I would highly recommend using a derma roller that has medical grade needles instead of a stamp. I have used them in the past and for me personally they have worked. But as Dan mentioned you have to really do your research. Hope this helps! Don't lose hope.
Awesome video, love the science to better understand how things work with the beard. The baseball bat to the face resonates, 2 brothers. Still don’t know how we all made it to adulthood 😂

Minoxidil beard here too. Only side effects i got were palpitations and dry skin. But that subsided.

Black seed oil is said to be good for hair growth
It can be, yes. Nothing compared to the ingredients mentioned in this video though. At least in terms of proving

Some claim rosemary is a DHT blocker, but not topically. No issues!
Hey Dan, quick question how long can it take for a dormant or vellus hair to wake up and turn terminal while using essential oils?
3-6 months is always a recommended timeframe to see results
@@DanCBearded Thanks Dan!
How would you apply the peppermint essential oil? After beard oil? Instead of beard oil?
It would have to be with carrier oils, so essentially it is a beard oil
Could I use peppermint, and rosemary + castor to growth beard hair
Absolutely! No guarantees, but it will give you a chance
Hi dan c bearded!
My beard is good but my mustaches are not growing they are vallus like.
That can take time. Patience and healthy habits
Now would a person use the permit oil and such in place of night time beard oil or both?
It would be your beard oil. It must be mixed with carrier oils
