A very well presented tour of Scotland. Simple down to earth honest people, hard work on editing and filming and also trying their best to let all the viewers get the best experience. There are so many around on U-Tube but you'd be hard pressed to find one like this that you can enjoy and watch it broken into its individual sections. Thank you.
I've only been to the UK once in my life, but never made it to Scotland. I'd heard of the NC500, but I'll probably never have the opportunity to drive the road, let alone ride it on a motorbike. Thanks Steve and Dek for taking us with you. It was thoroughly enjoyable, all 9 installments.
What a fabulous series you have produced. You should be very proud. Excellent filming, music, commentary, information and editing. Not too much chat like some who go on for ever boring you with incessant drivel, you wish they'd just shut up! This is perfect. Have enjoyed every mile you have ridden on this one. This series should be the definitive tour guide for the NC500 and 767. Thanks for very much for making.
Liked the series. Great photography. As a local the place name pronunciations were pretty terrible. A wee tip to get the Scottish Ch sound, as in loch. When you touch the back of your tongue against the roof of you mouth to make the sound, leave a small gap and breathe out. You'll be talking like a native in no time. Loch Lochy is a good one to practice on!
A bit of binge watching there John pleased it kept your attention throughout and that you enjoyed it my friend. The reason I do these is to keep a momento of our trips so as to be able to look back at them when we can no longer ride (hopefully not for a few years yet LOL) Stay safe fella and thanks for watching.
Steve, what an incredible series,, and what a journey you took us on! The drone footage at Glencoe is awe inspiring. I hope you have other tours planned in the not to distant future and you won’t keep us on tenterhooks to long for some more awesome videos! Thanks again for the entertainment 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Definitely on my bucket list & no doubt I’ll watch the whole lot again over the long dark winter months. I know what a pain it is trying to edit & decide which bits to put in the videos so hats off to you Steve for keeping us all entertained especially the drone footage. Cheers mate & ride safe.👍🏍
Thanks Si appreciate it when a viewer understands how much work goes into the editing. And was happy I finally managed to get a sunny day to send the drone up. Would have loved to view a lot more of this tour from the sky's but weather had other idea's. Cheers Si Ride Safe my friend.
Just binge watched the whole trip and really enjoyed the anti-clockwise journey. The road and town references really help to add context to the ride. Well done.
First time I went through Glencoe\ Loch Lomond it was torrential rain and gale winds with a lot of artic lorries- scared the bejesus out of me. Second time through there was glorious sunshine. Can't recommend the NC500 enough, if you get the sun it's heaven. Thanks for sharing Steve.
What a thoroughly enjoyable series, if Carlsberg ( Bellhaven perhaps) did motorcycle tours this would be it. It was like a really good Sunday lunch, well prepared, cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of good gravy. Commentary was spot on, no wind noise from the Mike, perfect music selection and a smattering of good humour. Little Dek was a trooper, following on unrelentingly, with the occasional throwing up of his arms as if to say " What on earth are we stopped for now"? Sadly our freedoms have been stripped away and if not relinquished soon, many of these little cafe's, hotels etc, will be gone. This trip was a tribute to what being human means, sadly now being human is against the rules, how sad 😢.
Hi Michael really pleased you enjoyed the series and I appreciate big time you taking the time to write such a positive comment. I spent a lot of hours editing and putting the series together so its a great feeling when viewers like yourself leave such a glowing review so thanks very much. Lets hope we can all get out and about and start touring around our beautiful country very soon. Stay safe my friend and thanks again.
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt You're welcome mate, hard work deserves appreciation and praise!! A thank you doesn't cost you anything but it is received like it was minted in gold. I live in Perth, but was born and brought up in Morayshire ( NE coast) more gentle hills but lots of stunning beaches. I just returned to biking after twenty years away, bought myself a Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport which I'm now trading for a Yamaha FZ1, stunning bike. I'm also investing in a Kawasaki ZZ-R 1400, for touring ( freedom permitted). I've probably toured less of Scotland than you have yourself, but I've also discovered some little known gems. I'd be delighted to join you on one of your escapades, or even just to meet up for a pint, let's hope we get some freedom this summer but the odds look like they're against it.
@@michaellilley6725 Perth you lucky fella, as you knoe we passed there on the way to travel the cairngorms. Good choice of tourer the Kwaki ZZ-R 1400 really like those, pleased to hear your rejoining the biking clan after a lay off, ride safe (when we can) and who knows maybe have that pint some time.
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt Yes Perth is pretty central as far as access to the rest of Scotland, we're pretty snowed up with temps down to -18°c, so even a ride out to the shops would be very unadvisable!! Not taking delivery of the ZZ-R untill the weather improves but hoping to swap the Triumph for the FZ1 Fazer soon, to use as a daily/run around. The Triumph is a nice bike but somehow I'm just not jelling with it and the Fazer brings back memories of past times. It also happens to be a stunning customised example, one previous owner, with low milage. Hope we have a bit of freedom this summer, don't be shy to look me up if you get the chance to pass through. A little gem that few know about is just North of Inverness, look for the small villages of Marybank, Contin, and Strathconnon. They lie on the old road to Ullapool and the West with stunning scenery, waterfalls, Ospreys, Eagles, Otters, Deer, leaping Salmon, and the Hydro dam system comprising multiple lochs and rivers. Best wishes..Michael.
@@michaellilley6725 Wow cheers for all that info Michael really appreciate it. Can't believe -18 degrees holy cow. Hoping to do Wales this year if covid has done one but will always be returning to Scotland sometime, stay safe bud.
Watched a few of these vids now, as me and my mate have done a lot of bike tours over the years. But your footage is by far the best mate. Well done. 1st rate in my opinion. 👍
Thanks John pleased you enjoyed the vids and really appreciate your positive comment on them. It just makes me want to make more when we can finally get touring again. Stay safe my friend.
Another cracking video. On those roads manys a time. I was on the road from Invergarry to Plockton this year on a solo run. It was a beautiful summers evening about 7.30, not a car to be seen and the road was my own... Sometimes in our biking times we have sublime moments... That was one of mine....the sun on my face, talking to my Kawasaki 1400 to make sure she was enjoying herself, after all it was her holiday as well.... Scotland the brave. Scotland the beautiful.
This is the best series I have ever watched about Scotland motorcycle tour. Not only tour, also filming, editing was perfect. Thank you Steve thank you Dek for your effort, please don't stop, keep going...
Thanks Devri appreciate it when a viewer understands how much work goes into the editing. And thank you for the high praise. There are plans for a lot more to come but as you can appreciate this kind of channel is seasonal and we can only bring you content when its riding season. Cheers my friend.
Another cracking video in this fantastic series Steve, sad to see it come to the end. Completely agree, when returning to 'civilization' it comes with mixed feelings, kind of welcome, but sad at the same time! Roll on the Spring!
Very enjoyable series. Love when people come up here to Scotland and share their experiences. Glad you got at least a few days decent weather and its always good to see the rain not putting you off your journey. Great editing as well by the way. Haste Ye Back and hopefully see you up here next year.
Fat Lad on a bike, you have done it again, great set off videos, I no all this area so well and you both enjoyed yourselves, that's what motorcycling is all about, look forward to the next trip, regards.
really enjoyed the 9 episodes and all the road information provided, your accommodation was great, what I really liked was your casual approach to the route as some vloggers rush round, nicely done.
Appreciate the positive comment David thanks. Pleased that one you watched the whole series and two you enjoyed them. More to come but obviously its seasonal so all that we have planned and its loads will be next year my friend.
Hi Steve I’ve finally got to watch your latest episode of your trip round our beautiful country your drone views of glencoe were just truly magnificent I have really enjoyed your videos as you have making them i hope you and dirk got home safe and sound many thanks for sharing your trip really looking forward to your next trip whenever that may be all the best to both of you 👍🏴🏴🏴
Thanks for watching Colin and appreciate you taking the time to comment my friend. We have booked for Wales already for next year and have a few more plans in the pipeline. Cheers Steve
Hi Steve we have watched your Scotland trips many times and have been so impressed we are going in August. We have even booked up the first night in Kinross. Can't wait. All thanks to you. 👍
Hi Trevor thanks for watching my friend and appreciate the positive comment. Pleased it's inspired you to do it and you are not going to be disappointed fella, ride safe and ENJOY 👍
Probably the best NC500/767 on TH-cam, cheers guys, I lived on the north side of Loch Torridon, so regularly travelled between Gairloch, Kinlochewe, and Loch Carron, so it was great to watch you drive along Glen Torridon from Kinlochewe. Loved the Beallach Na Ba section , have driven it many times . Thanks
Thoroughly enjoyed entire series. It allowed me to see places I will never see due to a strong fear of heights(especially above water), I will never ride some of these roads. Cheers guys..
My cousin had one of those Can-am Spyders, seemed to like it. Also drone footage was awesome. Proves the value of having one. Thanks again Steve another top quality episode, really shows off the Scottish riding.
Well what a brilliant series, thanks very much. Drone footage on a clear day over Glencoe, perfect! :) A nice fitting tribute to the Commando's too, without men of their bravery and sacrifice we'd all be speaking German now. Take care both :)
Thanks fella was lucky to get a sunny day for sending drone up. Shame I couldn't fly it more. Thanks again for a cracking comment appreciate it. Ride Safe mate
Good morning Steve ,I have just re watched this series and found it just as interesting as the first time round if not more because you see things that you missed the first time, for me the Nc 500/767 are now on my bucket list, it's great to see you have such Love and Pride in your riding and your bike, I'll be watching loads more of your your old videos and looking forward to it already,👊👊👊,thanks Steve.
Just watched the series, again, and loved it. You are so lucky with your travels, but more so, very lucky to have Dek along. What a brilliant companion. Couldn't help thinking of what might of happened if the ABS pump on the BMW had failed on Bealach na Ba !!!! Keep up the videos and stay safe
Thanks Ajay and your right couldn't wish for a better riding buddy than Dek he's a top bloke. And ABS failure on Applecross doesn't bear thinking about. Ride Safe my friend.
Absolutely brilliant Steve iv really enjoyed ever episode, the drone footage was amazing I’m gutted it’s over I really look forward to this ever week hurry up and go on tour again, thanks again be safe mate 👌👍
Found this on a MO Thomson video of a Scotland tour, comment added by Alan Macnaughton . It sums up scotland beautifully so I had to share it with you Steve. " Happy Days :) ". 5 years ago If God did actually make the world, he gave us Scotland so we know what it looks like in heaven, then gave us midges so we know what it feels like in hell.
Last time we called in at the Eileen Dolan Castle to shelter from the rain it was packed with bus loads of tourists. Taking notes of how to put a vid together, I must use the music better. Glad you got some decent weather. That weird trike is a Can Am which can be ridden on a car license. Thanks for the vids, including the drone stuff, know how much work has gone into them. Cheers Richard H
Cheers Richard appreciate it when a viewer understands how much work goes into the editing. thanks for the trike info and your channel is growing fast and rightly so keep it up.
Loved this series! Brilliant commentary, brilliant choice of music, brilliant scenery, brilliant roads, and two mates having a brilliant time. Thanks for taking us along with you 👍
Watched all way through with great interest has me & my mate doing the nc500 on our bikes this summer with the wife’s following in the car 😄 Best Nc 500 series on TH-cam Been taking notes on all of it - thanks for time & effort you put in 👍
Absolutely brilliant Steve the drone footage was excellent as was all the episodes of your trip.Safe riding Steve look forward to your next tour when ever that may be.
Thanks for posting these Steve, they're the best uploads I've seen on the NC500. I'm planning on doing the NC500 this year & forwarded the first episode to a couple of my mates, they also watched the full series & now the 3 of us are going up there. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Mark pleased you enjoyed them and cheers for sharing. I have just about finished putting together the FULL 12 mile ride over Applecross Pass to show people EXACTLY what to expect when riding over it, probably out on Saturday. You will not be disappointed Mark & mate's with the NC500 it blows you away fella.
Really enjoyed these vids mate. Like I said I am across the river from Dumbarton, we are blessed wi great roads up here, when the weather is good, but, again, thank you for these vids.
A cracking set of films showing the beauty of Scotland, pity you had some rainy days but that’s holidaying in the Uk. If you are planning any further Scottish trips, take a look at the Youth hostels up there. Have been pleasantly surprised at the standard of the accommodation & facilities provided at a reasonable price. Safe riding, cheers.
Thanks Martin appreciate the comment and we did have a hostel as one of our stops but changed it for fear of it being poor facilities but after your comment it gives me confidence to give them a try ion the future. Cheers ride safe my friend.
Well done Steve really enjoyed following you and your partners travels.Drone footage at Glencoe was amazing.I have often seen deer herds on the mountain directly opposite where you were parked.
Done that run from Skye down 3 year ago really nice to see it again, was stopped in the same lay-by where you put your wet gear on and the green welly thanks for sharing with us
Cheers Jed pleased you enjoyed it mate and it's just such a good route isn't it, would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for taking the time to comment fella.
I've enjoyed every second watching your tour. It's been an absolute pleasure, and thank you for taking the time to do whatever you have to do to put it on youtube.
Great set of videos, great music and commentary. We did the 500 last year in our motorhome but missed out the Drumbeg and Applecross loops ... more in deference to other road users than any fear of driving it .... I always think the whichever way you approach Glencoe it`s like Scotland is opening it`s arms and saying `Here I am`, fantastic. Hope to do it on my bike soon ..... after Ireland.
Fair play these are probably the best videos I`ve seen on the NC500 (767) . Myself and a friend did quite a bit of the NC 500 back in Sept 19 anti clock wise. Would love to do it again but plan it better. It deserves far more views.
Love that so much Steve(&Dek) , I think I’ll take another trip round the NC! Without doubt the best motorbike trip around the NC. Just what we need right now.
Thanks John pleased you enjoyed my friend Scotland is my favourite part of the UK as you will see if you look at my other series on here, bulk of which are Scotland, stay safe fella and thanks again for watching.👍
Steve love your videos and your commentary, they kept me sane during lockdown. Wife and I just done Scotland using ‘this series as a guide. Thanks for all your hard work. Trev

Living in Fort William is handy , on a sunny day the A87 to Skye is one of the best runs in the country 😀. And not far at all. Bit of local knowledge Steve .. Eilean Donan castle is pronounced ‘eel an ‘ a bit like Loch Eil ‘eel’ by Fort William . Enjoyed this series very much 👍🏻.
This has been a great series Steve, Well Done!! You have brought back lots of lovely memories for me riding these roads, can't wait till May comes and I am back up there with my 2 riding buddies, doing the roads you have been on and a few more!! Looking forward to your next trip, wherever it may be. Thank You.
Simply wow.. Took Friday off and binged watched the entire tour of Switzerland and the nc500 I can honestly say I've seen no better touring vidoes on TH-cam the final quality of the uploaded videos are simply fantastic can not wait until you're next adventure keep up the great work it's better than any show on TV!

My cousin had one of those Can-am Spyders, seemed to like it. Also drone footage was awesome. Proves the value of having one. Thanks again Steve another top quality episode, really shows off the Scottish riding.
Was nice to finally have chance to fly it my friend and was pleased with the results. thanks for watching fella ride safe.
thanks for sharing amazing series.
Cheers Colin pleased you enjoyed.
Very enjoyable to watch, thanks for making it👌👌

If God did actually make the world, he gave us Scotland so we know what it looks like in heaven, then gave us midges so we know what it feels like in hell.
Ha ha brilliant heaven and hell, thanks for the comment my friend.

Great series Mr C, mebbe your best - glad you got a bit of good weather going through Glencoe, the drone footage you took was 'stunning'!
Cheers fella shame I didn't fly it more but yeah was well pleased with the Glencoe footage,
A cracking set of films showing the beauty of Scotland, pity you had some rainy days but that’s holidaying in the Uk.
Thanks Jimmy pleased you enjoyed it and shame there wasn't a herd of deer where I flew the drone that would have looked cool. Ride safe buddy.

Cheers Sprout appreciate it when a viewer understands how much work goes into the editing. Ride Safe buddy.
Cheers Steve, thats given me a great insite. as I am looking at doing the same in 2024, just taking a bit longer. written plenty of notes.
Pleased it's helped a little my friend and your in for a great trip ENJOY!!@
Great set of videos, great music and commentary. We did the 500 last year in our motorhome but missed out the Drumbeg and Applecross loops ... more in deference to other road users than any fear of driving it .... I always think the whichever way you approach Glencoe it`s like Scotland is opening it`s arms and saying `Here I am`, fantastic. Hope to do it on my bike soon ..... after Ireland.
Thanks for taking the time to comment Steve and pleased you enjoyed them, really hope you make it on your bike my friend 😀
Steve. That was fantastic. Enjoyed every minute of it. Well planned and executed. Great work.
Thanks Paddy pleased you enjoyed it mate and thanks for taking the time to comment.

Fair play these are probably the best videos I`ve seen on the NC500 (767) . Myself and a friend did quite a bit of the NC 500 back in Sept 19 anti clock wise. Would love to do it again but plan it better. It deserves far more views.
