Factory sprockets 15/46, but the factory chain had no slack. Upgrade sprockets 17/39, uses 5 fewer links, and the factory chain fits.
In retrospect, a 17t front with a 43t (or smaller) rear, would enable the brand new factory chain to have some slack.
With 20/20 hindsight, perhaps a 42t would have been a better choice for that new factory chain, considering a 17t front is inevitable.
It all centers around trying to use the existing factory chain. Was your 39t rear sprocket a suggestion from a forum? Thank you.
Unfortunately for China Bike owners in Arizona, most of the roads are 65mph and highway is 75mph. I get 20 cars backed up behind me when I am doing 55mph and of course the drivers are wanting to do 75mph plus on the posted 55 roads.
As an update, I did the 17/39 Sprockets and did get a WOT speed of 68mph at 6.5K rpms but it looses too much speed on any incline making it dangerous in traffic with no power. Plus the trail riding is ruined because the engine stalls out in 1st gear trying to get up rough hills. I'm putting mine back to stock and only using it for trail riding until I can sell it for a real 400-650cc dual sport.
WOT 6500rpm does seem low. Was it capable of 8000rpm with your previous sprocket set?
love videos on the tvr7 but shouldn't that bottom chain protector be pointed towards the rear? also while you in there you might want to swap those studs for actual Honda studs.... or maybe thats overkill ...

IF YOU CAN, I"D LIKE TO KNOW THE 39 tooth sprocket information, I already have a 17 tooth sprocket which is not installed . I wanted to start with the 39T rear sprocket just to have the proper slack in my chain, I want to get the right one please let me know. and maybe put the 17T SPROCKET IN THE FRONT LATER.
Is it ok to have 15T in the front and 39T in the rear ? ? ?
Did your factory chain come installed, but with no slack (similar situation as the video)? What's your original tooth count?
IF ... 15/46 (61) as in the video, any smaller total will enable slack.
Since you already have the 17t front, and assuming you want to use the existing chain, 17/43 (60) or smaller, enables slack.
My caution is that 17/39 is lower than I've ever seen on YT. And 15/39 can function, but is poorly optimized. hth

I ended up getting a 42 tooth rear sprocket. I haven't put it in yet and don't know how much slack I will get. I'll ride it for awhile with the 42t and see what I think.
My main focus is safety and not hurting the bike. My tbr7 came with a very tight chain . One you tuber told me it would stretch in 50 miles. it didn't.
Where can I get replacements I got a tbr7 someone welded the sprocket to rim I got new rim but can't find studs anywhere not even from Tao Tao front stock them they said
I spent a lot of time reading about the sprocket studs and if you read to the end, all of the guys putting honda studs in eventually admit they have it cobbled together with washers and they are not exact fits. A lot of the Tbr7 parts are the same as the tt250cc, You can try csc motorcycles. Com and then look for tt250 studs but I'm not sure.
Whts the back bolts size
Was the top speed faster after you replace the rear sprocket and made it smaller
Maybe a little, It's mostly to bring the rpm down so you can cruise at 60mph and it's not running the engine wide open.

Where can u get rear sprocket studs ?
Don't waste your money on Honda studs,Im at 4,000km and the factory studs are fine. Don't believe everything on that China riders forum. For the caliper you asked about check Csc motorcycles. Com if they don't have tbr7 calipers a similar caliper like the tt250 might work.

I run factory studs, The guys saying you need to replace the studs are idiots don't listen to them. I'm at almost 6,000km no issues.
17 42 seems to be the best imo..
