    To me a huge mistake is players that go to the edge of the map and don't help the team out. BF1 gives people the ability to be aggressive at sniping and to help their team out yet some people choose not to

    • @312lilcactis
      @312lilcactis 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The1uan I don't mind if they do that. But at least shoot a flare or two for the team. Turns the tide of every game.

      Sniping in bf1 is painfully easy. Those guys at the edges are my favorite. Running smle carbine makes me invisible for them, but since there is scope glare I see them. Aim little bit higher than that and you get a head shot, and hack accusations in chat.

      The1uan Aggressive sniper is my favourite style in BF1. I only play that with infantry rifles and lots of flares.

      Carlos Piedra i like it because as a scout youre having a direct effect on the match, that didn't happen in BF4, it's a rare occurrence

      The1uan Yeah, I love that. You can be a scout and be in the middle of the battle. Love bolt rifles! You put them with a good revolver and you have both long-short distance abilities! Just fucking love it

    The biggest mistake all scouts make is choosing the spotting flare over the flash flare
    SMH
    combine this with sniper decoys and a kolibri and your unstoppable, you'll get a K/D of 10 and you will always be on top of the scoreboard without breaking a sweat

    I actually use the flash flare on my main
    Mostly use SMLE or Ross infantry variants used to be marksmans until recent glint update.
    This build is very effective at attacking on the verdun operation.

  • @lawrencelatrelljacksonmckn2932
    @lawrencelatrelljacksonmckn2932 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Before I watch the entire video, I believe some common mistakes scouts do is use the wrong bolt action for different situations, not spotting, no flares , and laying down in the open. I think the smle is the best bolt action for beginners since the sweet spot is pretty good. Not spotting is bad since you don't give your teammates the Intel they need on who is around them. Spotting flares are extremely helpful to spot a lot of enemies without actually individually marking them. Lastly, going prone is basically asking to get headshotted .

    A little tidbit regarding your comment about the three presets you can choose for your classes, on Xbox and ps4 I have renamed each preset and set them up as a long range, medium range and short range for each class which I find really helps as most people find a gun and stick to it. Well if you find a gun that fits each range for each class you’ll be Golden my dudes

  • @jibblyjakers2694

    And on the gadget point, what I like to do for all classes is use the preset function to have a short, medium and long range option ready to go at all times. So for example, my current sniper presets look like this: Preset 1--Martini Henry/Spot Flare/Tripwire--Preset 2--Mosin Nagant Marksman with 3x scope/Spot Flare/K Bullets--Preset 3--Russia 1895 Sniper with 5x scope/Spot Flare/K Bullets. I don't think there's ever a reason to not have the spot flare equipped, and beyond that it's a matter of whether you run with K Bullets or Tripwires.

    Taking gunfights while suppressed is a mistake I make on an almost daily basis... slowly learning to stop myself from giving it the big-balls trying to take out the person shooting at me, it's hard sometimes though as you just want that kills so bad...I understand the need for visual suppression but I feel physical suppression is waaaaay too powerful now, ever since TTK2.0 it's just ridiculous.
    Nice video Art!

    • @kaariszongoledozo3099
      @kaariszongoledozo3099 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      with ttk 2.0, suppression really changes for 3 classes. medic actually was buffed while dealing with suppression, because the sips was reduced by half, but the vertical recoil was increased(totally counterable, but it would take a bit of practice because it is really sudden). support, it seems it was nerfed while dealing in suppression, because the increased the max spread and the vertical recoil. in reality, it wasnt too bad, because lmg can just magdump like before, it can sustain fire very well so suppression hasnt impact their performance really much. assault also receives vertical recoil nerf, but it is still manageable like i said before. so ttk 2.0 didnt really change suppression all that much. i think what u see is just how suppression is still strong in bf1.

    A shocking number of players just don't spot in general. It's most frustrating when I'm flying either the bomber or attack plane and my gunners, who 9 times out of 10 can't hit shit, also can't (or won't) spot. On the spot flare point specifically though, I would say that unless you're in a really hectic situation there should be no need for that one flare to watch your back. With map knowledge, a sense of flow, and just situational awareness in general, you shouldn't be caught unawares very often, and that second spot flare could be put to much better use on whichever objective you're currently pushing, providing twice the coverage.

    • @jibblyjakers2694
      @jibblyjakers2694 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll sometimes even fire a flare halfway across the map to help out teammates on an entirely different flag. This is another option that I think will be more useful more often than putting a flare on your own six.

    Not just going prone in my opinion, it's being stationary in any form out in the open.
    Most common thing I see is players standing still lining up their shots, and for me this is an easy headshot. Minimise the time you spend stationary, move around between shots, and move positions as frequently as possible (when safe).
    But yeah, agree with your points. Only thing I'd add is players using a ridiculously high powered zoom when they don't need to.

    • @JungleOldSkooler
      @JungleOldSkooler 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use Martin-Henry, which is super powerful and best for closer range, you can also go for medic class, it has a lot of non-scoped rifles, plus better ammo capacity.
      Anyway you cant be really serious with iron sights and long range sniping.

    Hi. I’d consider myself a very good BF1 sniper (not much of a brag considering how easy it is). The best sniper for an aggressive scout would be the Ross. Easily outclasses the SMLE in every category except for capacity. If I’m engaging around 100M I’ll always go with the Enfield Silenced. I don’t even touch any other rifles just because of how unnecessary the other 3 mentioned make them. I don’t go for 400M headshots because it’s a waste of ammo and doesn’t help your team. The 1895 and Gewehr are terrible. Don’t even touch them. The best tip in this video is SPOTTING. I’m literally spamming Q on every enemy, building and vehicle I see. Even if you end up killing the enemy, sometimes you’ll get a hit marker and miss the kill, but when your target is spotted and tagged for 85, all it takes is for a teammate to notice the spot and put one bullet on them. But then again what do I know? I’ve only got 100K kills on the scout class (I’m a MASSIVE virgin).

    wrong, the sniper shield is incredible for extreme range, because of the bullet drop and the fact that it is a really tiny hole at 300+ meters i spent a whole round behind the shield, everyone knew where i was, nobody could get a shot
    so sniper shield is very effective you just have to know how to use it
    the big downside is that you really have to be far away for it to work, which means you will also get less kills and be less useful to your team

    • @jibblyjakers2694
      @jibblyjakers2694 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suspect he didn't elaborate because it's really not hard to determine the right tool (rifle) for the job. It mostly comes down to sweet spot ranges: i.e. a rifle with a farther out sweet spot is, by definition, not as well suited for close range, aggressive sniping as one with a closer in sweet spot. Muzzle velocity and rate of fire are factors too, but like the sweet spot, they're not hard to figure out (Symthic), and if you're already thinking about switching up rifles to suit different occasions, it's a safe bet you already think about these other factors too and don't need your hand held in a TH-cam video.

    Here's a hint to scout snipers : don't fire at an enemy scout who is carrying an infantry rifle while you're prone on a hill. They're likely much better than you and will humiliate you
    ;)

    I spam spot as a scout. I've only been playing for a week and I can't believe the laziness of my colleague scouts. As a pretty good sniper, I apologise

  • @jcspaz4l
    @jcspaz4l 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Biggest mistake, people selecting scout.
    Easiest class to use but hardest class to be good at. Guys laying down 400yds from the objective and trying to git gud. Camping on a hill isnt helping anyone

    How can you “not be a fan of” the “sweet spot”? You know guns kill you in one shot, right? This is a WAR game. The sweet spot on a real rifle is 0 to even 2000 yards. So the small sweet spot in BF1 is only a SMALL taste of REALITY. Deal with it.

      sweet spot is noob mechanic.

      Go play real life then, this is a video game. Sweetspot mechanic is just stupid and too inconsistent.
      We have a metric system in video games for a reason...

      If this game was realistic you would sit in the trenches with your bolt-action rufke for days before being blasted away be artillery if you didnt die from diseases yet.

    • @genericusername6644
      @genericusername6644 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TheStalkerstalker You say that, but battlefield is a Casual easy arcade shooter. It takes an unrealistic amount of bullets to down an enemy.
      Meanwhile on the other end is way more realistic games like Arma and squad etc. that sniping is a 1 shot kill most of the time, but it balanced by being more difficult.

  • @wafflez-man-1995

    I really hate people who uses only infantry variants and think they are good...I feel and get better kills with the scope plain and simple amd pure skill. I also hate the most when they arent spotting , like god dammit man I spot enemies so much to the point I spot them while Im shooting and them! 😂😂 and kill them

    • @mrdecs2411
      @mrdecs2411 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why aren't infantry players good?
      Even on console aim assist has been nerfed massively, being aggressive is a very high risk/high reward playstyle with an infantry/carbine variant

    • @wafflez-man-1995
      @wafflez-man-1995 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrDecs Official dude I run out of ammo pick up any bolt action rifle and merk kids like I was using a regular gun...its easy...it doesnt take as much skill compared to the marksman and snipet variants.

    First turn on the kill cam for nearby or all.
    Second . Use lebel or SMLE for 1 hit kills at ballroom.

      it's not, just different, bf1 isn't a game for spraying noobs i would say, if u like semi autos or bolt actions it's great, otherwise i can understand. in this game if u want to be effective at any range u take a 5 medic shooter or you play agressive recon no more AR sniping you now you have to make compromises. fun to see the ppls complaining about how casual bf1 is going 13-22 in bf1 lol. good players bang ppls in both games

    • @nothing2see315
      @nothing2see315 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      untypebanal surTH-cam Its not even that its the way the controls feel and the stupid cha ching noise every kill. Then theres operations where no one plays objectives cuz some guy is just flying around bombing them, which is easy to stop if more than one person tries shooting it down but no one does they just camp in spawn with a bolt action rifle.

      gunplay:
      not just microbursting for ars, smgs, lmgs etc
      The slrs (old dmrs) are all powerful/accurate, and given to the class that most needs it (if medic had smgs it’d be like the assault meta in bf4/3)
      The lmgs, although easy to use (mechanically only requires single taps or full auto) require MUCH more proactive play to play at its full potential (slow ads, time to acquire again max accuracy and drags are some of the things that require active thinking)

      @thehardtruth495 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @cav bf4 medic had the best guns and now youre saying the medic in bf1 also has the best("all powerful/accurate") guns... so whats changed in terms of the meta? Same class has the best guns. The only thing that has changed in my view is the satisfaction you get from using an AR vs a boring ass op SLR. Many more things I hate but I just wanted to address your point.
