You're spoiling us with content from the Flipperama HQ. I'm impatiently awaiting a 007 premium to land on my doorstep and you're making that wait more bearable with this new series. Thanks Gonzo.
As confusing as it can be I love AIQ. The layout is genius. I would have the same top 3 just in different order (MM, AIQ, AFM) but all three really are the best of the best.
I haven't been able to play this machine out in the wild but I want to be able to play it before I made a purchase. But for someone who is looking to own isn't a bit more complex better than straightforward so it doesn't get boring. Always new things to learn and try? I would also love to hear this vs Godzilla. I love how that game plays so much but the theme does nothing for me. AIQ I love the theme but does it play as well as Godzilla? Any help would be appreciated.
First, an overdue mini-rant: That your question has sat here, unanswered & unacknowledged, for six months is but ONE reason WHY I don’t sub to this guy. It also reflects his tendril of the community-I notice way too many ghosted comments & questions on both his channels, and it’s not like he’s got thousands … only 30. 👀🤷♂️ With that outta the way (😄), lemme try to help y’out here. I’m uniquely situated to respond to your concerns. I have an AIQ Premium in my house-this is because I traded a mint, highly collectible early-aughts Stern w my distro for a Zilla Premium. He said there was a new run out in July, so in the meantime, he kindly offered me AIQ Premium till then. As we now know, Gomez lied to & misled his distros, first by withholding it was gonna be a *B&W* _ball-camouflager,_ & second, by lying to everyone in the release video, saying “BOTH the 70th AND PREMIUMS will BOTH be available” … which was NOT the case. So I agreed to wait till (now) “early 2025” for my NIB Zilla Premium & keep AIQ till then. My feelings on it as an “owner” … I’m glad you love the theme as that helps one’s outlook before the first plunge. As you know, the artwork is SUBLIME!! Poppin colors EVERYWHERE! I know SQUAT about comics, but it’s right up w Venom as one of the most arresting art packages out there. 👌 Someone commented once that Godzilla is fun for anyone w its crazy mechs & magnetic post, etc. But they also pointed out that “anyone” can wind up w the high score not even knowing the rules. I agree w that. What sets AIQ Premium apart from Zilla is exactly what you intuited: It has a SUPER deep ruleset w many tendrils and choice-trees. To ME, that’s PRECISELY what you want for longterm HOME play, right? 🤷♂️ It DOES take itself very seriously (that is true), but who cares when you’re in a KILLER Iron Man Multiball, nailing all the moving orange shots & adding balls, and it’s singin like a juke box!! It shoots like a DREAM and NO QUESTION will it be a great pin for longevity & boredom-prevention. I presume since 6 months’ve passed, you’ve already decided. Please lemme know what you chose and how your feelin ABOUT that choice. 🤷♂️✌️👍 (I deliberately took extra time to give you the most thorough response I could, partly in protest of how poorly this guy interacts w his viewers.) Happy flippin, & I DO hope to hear your update. 🤜🤛
I'm really interested to see where Godzilla lands. BTW I think you could "cheat" and do your take on Theatre of Magic, since you played for so long.. Woe to you if you bash it though :D
I'm actually really looking forward to doing Godzilla but probably need to do a few titles before it purely because it's at the top of pinside. As for Theater . . . . I have given this a lot of thought. Maybe I'll relent 😉😂
When I asked on FB if ya could only have one and why? Godzilla prem or Avengers infinity quest prem. I was told by one guy that owns and rents out a lot of machines that over all AIQ probably had a better over all playfield layout but, the same as you said, the game lacked soul and GZ was just a more fun machine to play. And damn near everyone said get the GZ, so I did lol. And it's bloody great. But I think one of the few things that'd make GZ better is if ya could hit the right ramp with the upper flipper. Or if that'd put a side ramp on it as well as the loop. Was just about to buy an AIQ off a mate when I got an email sayin my name had finally gotten to the top of the list for a GZ prem. So I blew a $600 deposit on a damn near new AIQ so I could get a nib GZ prem lol. Still kinda keen on gettin an AIQ sooner or later though. 🤷♂
Ooh interesting Kris, I thought you'd have it below AFM and MM. I completely see where you're coming from though, if you had it as a sole machine/small collection you'd force yourself to learn it. It has some great shots, but for me the rules are pretty heavy going, and I don't rate it that highly to want to learn them. Loving this series mate, gets everyone thinking 👍
Same mate lol. Was about to buy an AIQ off a mate when I got an email sayin my name had come up for a nib GZ prem. So got that instead and happy I did.👍😁
Tough one . . . . . great game and my third ever machine. I'm also a fan of the series. I need to get more footage so I won't be doing that video for a while.
AIQ is great. I think Elwin's weakest is JP. JDJP is vastly superior. JP just has too much wasted space on the playfield and hitting shots just isn't satisfying.
I can't stand the theme of the machine (superheroes without much humor added) so I haven't even tried it. But your mentioning the great shots makes me a bit interested.

You are very welcome my friend. Good luck with that new 007 . . . . I hope it arrives soon.

Hi Russ, might be worth waiting to see what Elwin does next?
Ooh interesting Kris, I thought you'd have it below AFM and MM. I completely see where you're coming from though, if you had it as a sole machine/small collection you'd force yourself to learn it.
It has some great shots, but for me the rules are pretty heavy going, and I don't rate it that highly to want to learn them. Loving this series mate, gets everyone thinking 👍
I appreciate that mate.
To be honest AIQ will not stay in second place but I thought it would be interesting to put it there.
I really love AIQ. I was about to order one until I played Godzilla.
I would certainly agree that Godzilla is better mate
Same mate lol. Was about to buy an AIQ off a mate when I got an email sayin my name had come up for a nib GZ prem. So got that instead and happy I did.👍😁
Great vid 👍 love that Dolly pin
Hope Corvette makes it to the list 😬
Someone will have to lend me one first 😉
Looking fwd to buying a premium version
A cool idea might be to reveal the next machine at the end of the video.
That is a really good idea. Thank you
Did you just say you'll have a ROAD SHOW?!
Yes indeed mate . . . .thought you'd approve 😉
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama you're goddamn right I approve! Your rating of it is when we may fall out 🤣
Where is your sttng from your top 50 list?
Tough one . . . . . great game and my third ever machine. I'm also a fan of the series.

I really like AIQ, but it is Keiths worst great game IMHO!
I lvoe Godzilla, Iron Maiden, and Jurassic Park!

You've summed it up pretty well there. It is definitely worth trying even if just to experience the shots.
Game is no way a Keeper,,fun to shoot, but everything else is horrible, except the art, but the animations are incredibly horrible
Not a big fan of AIQ either.
