Finn: "I'm getting pretty good at this."
That's great, kid. Don't get cocky.
That's great, kid. Don't get penis-y
The part where they fly through the ravager is amazing
And that zoom
I can still remember the cheering in the theater when the camera panned to the Falcon, gosh I love that ship.
Falcon doing a sand drift is sooo awesome

Still the best scene in the entire sequel trilogy
so darn true
@@LukeFor3ver The entire cinema howled with approval and joy when this scene happened.
The falcon scene at the fight on crait in TLJ was good too
Agreed
That's not saying a lot
Rey: That one's garbage!
Han: Yeah she is, but she's GOOD garbage!
"What are you going to do?"
"Same thing I always do - talk my way out of it."
(Chewie growls)
"Yes I do! Every time!"
Who would have thought you could love a spaceship this much?
She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts
Luthens ship is cooler
The Enterprise D is right there with it
Simp language
Shame Disney wasn’t born in the 80’s or they being the holder of the keys to ignite her majestic engines would maybe know how to show her with respect in there crap, insulting movies.
Seriously, we all watched because of this ship and the OG characters..that’s it….Andor has potential but the rest is for the Trash compactor.
Absolutely the best scene in all 3 of the newer films. You can tell they REALLY planned this sequence out in great detail with lots of passion from the team.
Fun fact: The star destroyer that we see at 2:29 is called the Inflictor, which crashed down to the Jakku surface at the Battle of Jakku (read the book Star Wars: Lost Stars for more information). Another fun fact: The super star destroyer the Falcon flies into to destroy the TIE fighter is called the Ravager, also destroyed at the Battle of Jakku (read Star Wars Aftermath: Empire's End and see Star Wars: Battlefront Battle of Jakku DLC for more information).
Fun fact: Disney had no consistent plot for this trilogy but did came up with a shitton of side crap to sell you stuff and attempt to recreate the passion that emerged from the original films
Sometime during the battle of Jakku:
Ravager was destroyed by gravity.
@@BatPierrot fun fact: these star destroyers have nothing to do with the plot of the movie
Another fun fact you can play it in battle front 2

Yeah that's cool
3:13 - 3:15 gotta love the iconic growl of the Falcon's engines - gave me goosebumps when I first saw this
Viewer “How did the hans ship get their”
JJ Abram’s “ I don’t know just look how cool it looks when it flies”
How did the _Falcon_ get their, what?
This scene gave me hope.
Then 2 and half more movies happened.
Last good movie in trilogy
Couldn't've said it any better.
1:39 the audience in my theater went nuts in the scene. Myself included
BB-8 Is So Adorable ☺️!
Ball bot- 8.
"Stay low! It confuses their tracking!"
Now when would we hear that again, I wonder?
Fuck the haters. This scene is incredible, and for more than simple nostalgia. The editing alone is top notch.
It's not the scenes and editing. It's the characters.
@@emcats84 it’s both, all of it. The cinematography here is pure magic, and feels like a proper Star Wars chase, reminiscent of how the asteroid chase was shot in Empire. It’s classic Star Wars filmmaking through and through. Don’t knock the cinematography of a film, it’s so important in telling the story, and making you feel the emotion and the magic of it. Same for the score.
@@emcats84 How's the characters? They both great when this movie came up in 2015.
@@wow73225 Ahahaha
I aggree the action is top notch the story thou is shit
This is when I fell in love with the Force Awakens Trilogy and never looked back. It's absolutely one of the best Star Wars action scenes in the films.
Look, it might be garbage, but it's reliable garbage.
Also I love their energy this scene. Regardless of how the trilogy panned out it wasn't any fault of the actors/actresses. They clearly brought some classic Star Wars fun to it. It was a series planning problem
“Reliable garbage”-pretty much the bar most fandoms accept and crave
TFA is a great Star Wars movie. The other 2 are the only ones up for debate.
"Are we really doing this?!"
Brilliant scene….the falcon is the true star of the show.
I have to say, I Love this movie

Rey: "That one's garbage."
Me: HOW DARE YOU?!
"The garbage will do." - Disney while (not really) finalizing the story for their knew trilogy.
The only garbage here is your ability to spell words
*KNEW*
Dear Internet, I'm sooooo very sorry that I only put as much effort into checking my comment for errors as the hacks at Disney put into making their trilogy.
While I think it would’ve turned out better than it did had they done that, this is turning into a dead horse.
George Lucas when he wrote the prequel trilogy
Unkar: THAT’S MINE!
Han: No it’s Not!
You can take as much issue with the other two films as you like (Lord knows I do), but no sane person can deny that The Force Awakens was a triumphant return to what made Star Wars a cultural cornerstone.
Oh, and this scene is pretty cool.
Who knew that this would be the beginning of the end for Star Wars?
such a freaking amazing scene. .this movie was incredible
You have to be kidding, what kind of smack are you smoking ? The Disney princes rainbow kind ?
“That’s mine!!!” It’s actually Han Solos
Its actually Lando's
@@greatgames3494 It's actually Disney's now... ;)

What's a buckle bots?
0:20 When you wanna watch a Star Wars film, but you only have the sequels.
the orhestral hit @1:38 when she says "I am going low" is the universal star wars singal that the Falcon is about to open a full size can of kick ass on some empire punks. It's the deffinitive musci hit of the entire star wars franchise.
Sadly, it was stolen from a WWII B-29 Superfortress Bomber documentary during a scene when Japanese fighter planes attacked Tinian and destroyed twelve parked bombers. Williams just changed the last few notes to go upward the way it is in Star Wars. Listen to Rick Beato's "John Williams vs Gustav Holst or Star Wars Vs The Planets" to see how this 1918 composition influenced so many movie sound scores.
Disney running back to J.J after regretting firing Colin Trevorrow: 0:20
Damn, Rey is one impressive pilot!
The falcon slides dude. Prequel choreograph with original nostalgia. They almost had it which is why it hurts so much.
"Rey is too good of a pilot, she's just a Mary Sue"
She literally almost crashed the ship and got them both killed like 9 times in this clip and only really did 2 impressive things at all (navigating the inside of the super star destroyer and splitting the TIEs up)
Kori Jenkins she literally can fly a ship she’s never touched
@@HTMN161 Just like almost every other character in Star Wars lol
Jens Danneels she wouldn’t be Able to do tricks like this, especially without a co-pilot,plus she is still a Mary Sue either way
@@HTMN161 Oh okay, you’re one of _those_ guys
@@HTMN161 Explain to me how you're okay with Luke being the best x-wing pilot in the galaxy without having ever flown one, but Rey nearly crashing the Falcon 15 times is a bridge too far?
He literally grew up on a farm, the closest he came to flying was the toys we saw him playing with while C3P0 took his oil bath.
Ray was like "ahhhhhh" fin was like "damn it."
I like to think Han is shouting "That's my girl!" out there somewhere without even knowing why.

Except she`s a Palpatine........the Emperor won.
Ah man, this movie had everything going for it… so many good scenes like this. It was so close to be being good, but they couldn’t bring it home
Say what you like about the movie, but this scene was incredible
right? Great to see the Falcon flying again. Not only that, those First Order pilots really show how superior they were to the common Imperial Pilot. They never crashed, they kept behind the Falcon most of the time, and those TIE F/O really showed what the TIE could do.
When the canon got stuck in forward position
Why couldn’t Finn just climb to the top position
Maybe they only got the bottom cannon working?
True
@@SeansModelBuilds maybe but who knows
Are you remember, in star wars return of jedi, we see millennium falcon and other starfighter is getting way to death star 2 right. And, there a scene millennium falcon hit the pipe then the rectenna gone. Maybe the top position hit the pipe to. So that why top position not working........Maybe
@@aku8354 nope, actually in the falcon the top cannons are only for front defense of the ship (they only turn enough to the sides to cover the front of the ship) and the bottom ones are for rear defense of the ship (that's why finn doesn´t change seat to the top ones, cuz' in order to use them, the falcon would need to somehow get behind the tie fighters wich was something that seems really dificult at that moment). You can see this in "a new hope" when they are scaping from the death star.
Why this don't have a milion viewes
2:13 I love the new Turret sound effect it just sounds, like the sounds of a battle in the morning.
Unpopular
But this is the best scene in the Sequel trilogy
The beginning of the end of Disney Star War
@4:25 best part. Gotta love the growl of the Falcon’s engines.
Han and Lando always made flying the falcon look easy but when we see Rey in the cockpit she makes it look difficult
Back before really good electronics were out, I bought this Milineum Falcon made out of foam to be a toy drone.
It flew exactly like the movie hear when they took off. No steering.
Man, the CGI looks amazing. Epecially that scene where they flew out into space in the falcon, it looks almost like a practical effect from the OG trilogy.
Good actions.Great works.All the best.Keep it up.
I always well up when I see The Falcon.
Yes it was a rehash, but everyone can admit this movie is great. Last Jedi and ROS sucked, but this one is great.
No. This movie sucked as well. Being a copy of a New Hope doesn't give it bonus points.
@@Amp661 It legitimately was good. It was NOT a copy of New Hope although it did rely on a lot of remember berries. Did you forget that at the time the movie came out, people were not enamored with the prequels and they wanted classic Star Wars. As a beginning of a new trilogy that looks back to the past and using classic themes, this was more than a fine introduction to that universe again. You can change the context all you want but it remains. This movie was fine as a stepping off point and then to go on to explore newer themes but that didn't happen. And now, people retroactively malign this as well. It was accepted really well by all and that changed after The Last Jedi. Let's not be disingenuous.
Love this scene, and really great to see the comments are largely people with admiration rather than the usual hate the films get.
What I don't understand is why people hate on the sequels they are absolutely amazing movies and are 100x better then the prequels
Man, I really wanted Finn Windu
I thought jedi weren't allowed to have children?
@@waw1537 qui gon Jin believed on the new ways of the force and allowed marriage and father figure attachments but it has to be balanced with force/ force training
@@chiquitoroman281 But yoda was like "yo dont marry anyone or have children because you might worry about them and turn to the dark side", but anakin still secretly married padme and was afraid because he had one nightmare of padme dying
@@waw1537 true they weren't allowed to but we wouldn't even have an original trilogy if Anakin would've followed the rules
That’s great, kids. Don’t get cocky...ah, screw it.
The only good movie in the new trilogy. Next two were terrible. The second one was bad and the third was horrible but due to the existence of the second one, they had to start from scratch yet again while abandoning ideas they had for the third because the second movie changed a lot of things. In other words - The Last Jedi fucked everything and everyone.
Out of the entire sequel trilogy, this is the only part I get true Star Wars vibes
Fun fact: the whining sound of the imperial fighters is a mimic of the Nazi German “Stuka” fighter plane’s screeching sound. 🇩🇪🛩️
Yea and if observe close enough, the Empire is literal space nazi Germany.
When your brain does some thinking, it can find obvious parallels that you were meant to find.
She knew what she was doing with that end move, cool
Disney writes comedy pretending to be Star Wars.
"This ship hasn't flown in years." But everything works without any maintenance being done, has enough fuel, has power/ammo for the guns, is structurally sound with nothing collapsed or about to, and can still power up and lift off in under 2 minutes.
Oh, and you, who've never left the effing planet, not only can fly a spaceship without having mentioned it before, but know EXACTLY how to fly THIS spaceship in 2 minutes or less, plus where the gunners' turret is when you've probably never been onboard.
This scene is nearly equivalent to: "Palpatine returned, somehow."
my hottest take on the new trilogy is that, it couldve worked if the skywalker story was NEVER continued!
My Favorite ship all the time Millennium Falcon my Dream is flying millennium Falcon in the sky
You've failed your mission, technician. The Planet was not unstable because it is a Holograph.
Watching BB-8 running does bring a laugh and smile to my face XD
At least the dog fights looked good, that’s about one of the only things going for the sequels
When I get my 1993 Suzuki dr350 s back I will feel just like her falcon unleashd!
I can do this....Great words....Good deeds...
I like the scene from a CGI aspect, to see the Falcon in action. Yet I don't like the fact that Rey even though she's never been in the Falcon before can just run in there and maneuver the ship as well as Han Solo. I'm like get the "F" outta here. Stooooopid!
“That’s mine!!!”
Me: yeah well, why the hell did you leave it fuelled up, unlocked and ready to take off for anyone who goes up a single ramp?
Goosebumps!! ❤❤❤
Never Forget....they put Wedge Antilles in a ball turret
Rey: I’m going low.
Me: that’s what she said. 😏
This is so damn realistic the CGI animators did a stellar job🎉🎉
Laugh if you want but I have a huge crush on Rey. She's such a beautiful, compassionate and badass woman.
It doesn’t get much better than that 👌👏👏

I see Finn had no problem slaughtering his former comrades [who also might be unwilling soldiers just like him]
the little droid broke the cardinal rule of film acting; he looked at the camera....
0:23 Han's Millennium Falcon
I love tie fighter pilot
0:01 Rey Finn And BB-8 Revives Ms Chodsondik / UnGrounded By Tavia Hundley
1:46 BB-8 Pulls The Fire Alarm Again / Grounded
I remember finding a video on this scene only where after Finn and Rey take off in the Millennium Falcon and they show the ship flying into the engines of that Super Star Destroyer wreckage and Finn sees what's happening and he ask's 'are we really doing this' and after that they show the Falcon doing that aerial spin as the Star Wars theme song starts playing and it would be awesome to see that video again if I can find it unless someone removed it and if anyone is wondering what that video was called it was Finn finds Rey and Falcon chase.
1:30 3:29 0:57 0:38
Imagine years of tie fighter pilot training only to be obliterated by a literal cargo plane equivalent.
Even though it's a copy of a new hope I got to admit this scene is pretty cool
Maybe all that impressive skill Rey showed in the Falcon would have made more sense and been more cool had Han Solo been doing all those moves in the sequel. Maybe Han could have been introduced earlier the film, still owning the Falcon, visiting the planet with Chewie for some differnt reason then by coincidence helping Rey & Fin to safety and getting involved in the fighting immediately like old times.
Yes!
And thus, showing nothing or adding anything of note to the new characters. Great plan.
@Antonio Burgohy so u mean exactly as they are now? Lol
And then you people would complain about how convenient it is that Han was there at the same time.
In the first Thrawn trilogy (Legends) Talon Karrde remarks that the Millennium Falcon has an unusually fast start-up sequence for a vessel of its class, able to launch within five minutes of activation.
Good. Your instincts tell you right. You don't want to.
Those shots tho
Awesome animations for a fanfic!
The series could have benefitted from more scenes like that.
My favorite movie
The keys were left above the sun visor.
Back when there was still hope the sequels could stick the landing...
Montage vfx and sound fx are radical! A very “starwars-ish” scene, full of cool cliches elevated by modern CGI and editing. Up to this point things were looking pretty good
No that ship, Was yours..😂
Rey is so hot
