    i did not expect such handling of 32bit Exr files.. gives room for experimentation. Thanks Johnathan.

      Yea I was kind of shocked when they added EXR support at how fast it acutally runs. Runs way better than using PNG

    You can prepare quickly with Blueprint, a quick method for those who still don't want to bother Thanks Bro

    This is great and so simple! The one problem I'm having is that when following all of the steps, what should be the alpha parts of my sequence are still somewhat opaque, (but lighter than the fog). I'm using the same assets and steps, and I made sure to use 32-bit exrs. If you think you know why this is happening and how to correct, I would be even more grateful than I already am!

      @JonathanWinbush  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not sure but a way to maybe fix it that can work is to put a multiply node in your texture then a value node and use that to control your opacity perhaps

    Hey so glad to learn this!
    The video is keyed perfectly but there is no light interaction with it. I used a human green screen video and there is no shadow happening. Is there a way to make the shadow form from the keyed subject?

    Is there a way to just play a EXR in sequencer like a backplate- so what I would like is just to have my plate and see the the CG in my Unreal scene on top of it- like an A over B comp in Nuke. Its easy to set this up in Houdini but I cant figure out how to set that up in Unreal Engine (yet).

  • @rpgmakerbloodytutorials9486
    @rpgmakerbloodytutorials9486 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Does it follow camera without motion tracking since its in the sequencer was wandering if its similar to blenders insges to planes

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It wouldn't follow the camera unless you set it up to do so since these are just planes

  • @notrealquanluong
    @notrealquanluong 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How can you play the sequence so fast and stable? Whenever i work with image sequence for sequencer, it always has some form of delay, and easy to crash.

    Can the alpha channel be added in Blender instead of AE?

    • @JonathanWinbush

  • @richardchipstick235

    Hi, I started this tutorial, but I had to check out the other tutorial..."Keying out Black Background" as I'm not a "After Effects" user, So I could Knock out the Black, which i have done successfully to get the Alpha Channel on the fog layer, just like your tutorial. Now I plan to use this in UE5, But when I switch back to this tutorial you already have the EXR image sequence already rendered out and ready to import into UE5. Now I, in my limited knowledge of Davinci have tried to render this out, but every time I do this and render, they don't render out properly, In the "Deliver" Tab settings, my latest attempt was using... Format - EXR.
    Codec - RGB half (DWAB).
    Rendered out as - Individual Clips.
    Enabled - Export Alpha.
    But this still doesn't give me a proper EXR Image Sequence that I can use in UE5, I know you said you are not a Davinci Resolve user, but any pointers or help will be most appreciated, I looking through a number of other channels to see if I can find the answer. Many Thanks.

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm so I just tried it with the settings there and it rendered with alpha. For Codec just do RGB Half and have export alpha checked. Don't do DWAB and see if that works for ya

    • @mr.pinouxinc4293

      Your exr sequence stays on your drive, it's not being converted into a usset. Which works for Motion designer, or cinematic people.
