I usually just find National forest roads/BLM land and drive around till I find a campsite! Or I sleep at rest areas/truck stops/places open 24 hours if I'm in civilization ☺️ and I don't have much to say about mental health. I'm pretty good with that! I'm got some anxiety and depression but I think that's just life, not this lifestyle!

Your videos never disappoint. What an adventure, the whole snowstorm trek in June and running into 9 party goers. They hauled a lot of beer up that the mountain. Must have beene one to remember.
I'm kind of dazzled by how you so dearly love being alone and yet are so open and warm (and giggly!) with people you've just met. I'm betting that you being relaxed and open allowed these guys to be their normal unguarded (best) selves, goofy and blessedly not being scolded for it. Some rich experience in a simple overnight campout. 🐻☕
For a second, I felt a little post-trauma from the insane winter we had here❄😱But a few seconds later, I was actually missing the snow. 🙂But ... I don't know how I would have reacted to having such a cool place -- all to myself -- and then have 9 guys show up ready to party. Oy. I might have just left. Or, I might have had a rum & coke and started belting out Ed Sheeran tunes. I might have just hung out with the one guy who seemed most introverted. haha You did great! Fun video!

Looks like my idea of paradise, except for the frat party. In the ukulele community, we have a saying, often seen on coffee mugs: "Tune it or die". Have you read Desolation Angels, by Jack Kerouac? It's about his job, one summer, as a fire watchman in a lookout like that. Nobody shows up to keep him company.
(11:24) I think that's the problem with watching too much true crime stuff. You just assume that in a situation like that the worst is going to happen. We tend to forget that most people are decent and respectful.

One thing gets me. you have a wood stove going, yet waste fuel to heat up water. Heat your water on the wood stove, save fuel for when really need it. I grew up with a wood stove in the home, in the winter time, we cooked on it to save on stove fuel. But then again some people love to waste things.
