Love the video man. In all my years tie dyeing I've never seen anyone tie a mandala the way you did with the way you folded it and banded it. Love watching tutorials bc even after 15 years I'm learning so many new things constantly!!!

I just finished tying this. Dye going on tomorrow. I’m going to try ice instead of liquid. Probably a couple sessions of ice. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
It definitely works well with ice. I only used to ice dye at one time, and only use ice with my reverses still to this day. Have fun my friend. I look forward to seeing what you create.

I never soak in soda ash. Only time I ever do, is if I'm ice dying an incline
Do you use soda ash when mixing your colors?
No, i usually use the pariah method when liquid dying. I go over the pariah method on my tapestry tutorial

Why bow string instead of artificial sinew (waxed thread)
For me: I think its easier to work with. Its creates more details and finer lines. It does lock in like sinew but you'll still have finer lines with the bow string. Its just a preference for my white liquid dyes. If I'm creating a reverse, I almost always use sinew.

I appreciate the feedback, I'm new to the youtube game. I could definitely fly through the design process but this design is a little intricate so I thought having a thorough explanation would be helpful. Next time I'll just cut the parts i sped up. How would you go about it? And I agree, there should be the end result all in one video, again I'm learning. With that being said, I will have the dying process and the end result video posted tomorrow. Thanks again for the feedback🙏
@@chefski1282ah yes, I think for more clarity if you do two part system, which could be a good way to keep people coming back and engaged. You could call them part 1/part 2 or tie up/dye and reveal
