Love this, can't wait to see what else you share with us.. You're a phenomenal teacher/artist.
I'd like to ask(if you're willing to share) what your mix ratio is for black, I always seem to end up with dark grey..I use distilled water and mix blacks, still don't get black...drives me crazy!
Awe thanks so much for this beautiful message. It is validation that I am on the right path🙏
My black mixture is weird. I don't like a super dark or solid black. I usually mix timberwolf gray and any black i have. Probably 1.5 tbsp per color, per 10 oz of magic(chemical) water. 😁.
Daves Dark Black from custom colors is the darkest black I've come across. But again I usually dont mix it like that. I will be releasing a tutorial that goes over how I mix my magic(chem) water and how I mix my dyes up in the next day or so🙏
thankyou❤
🙏🙏🙏
Got it.. thank you
😁
You da man 🥲🙌🏼🫶
I am just a mirror my friend🙏
That came out 🔥! I had fun dyeing this design ❤ thanks for sharing
Thanks for checking it out sister....hope you play a little with it
That was an awesome video! Love the colors and the shirt is 🔥🔥🔥🔥! Thank you! Do you thicken your dye?
Thanks my friend.
Yes I do thicken the dye a little with a product called super clear from dharma trading company. My next tutorial will feature my dye mixing process 🙏
Do you mix super clear in with each dye color? I have 4 different thickeners or slow Flo…resists, gutta. I began with batik 45 years ago while studying Astronomy LOLOL. The path’s we cross that lead us to the next universe. Will watch for mixing tutorial.
Way cool! So… that’s all the soda ash? No presoak ing the shirt? Holy time saver Batman! What setting on the dehydrator? I have an extra one I’m eyeballing right now 😂 stoked to try this ☮
Thanks sister🙏
No pre-soak needed 😁 and i usually do 3 hours on 160 degrees . Looking forward to seeing your creations
Love this.
Thank you my friend
Thank you for sharing the knowledge 💙💙 shirt came out 🔥🔥🔥 as always
You're so welcome my friend, It is my honor. Truly!
Shirt came out great
Thank you my friend🙏
What is your go to black dye? Thank you so much for this tutorial! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge✨️ The shirt is stellar 🤩
So I typically try to have Daves Dark Black from custom colors...but i have art black at the moment from dyespin....
My liquid black is usually a mix of timberwolf gray and usually any black i have....
Thanks for part deux! I love learning new tricks... makes my brain tickle. QUESTION: Do you follow manufacturers instructions for your dyes? (or do you make them thicker or more pigmented?) Love ya Mark
Same question
I typically mix them thicker then required. It varys for each color but I start with about 3 tablespoons per 10 oz. And some color require more. I just recorded a tapestry tutorial, but I'll make my next one on mixing colors.🙏
See below 🙏 thanks for checking out the video🙏
just watched your new dye mixing video... thanks again! @@PsychedelicSerenity
Would the effect be the same if you soak in soda ash first, and then tie dry?
I need to look up Pariah method…
I definitely enjoy folding shirt not soaked in soda ash. Easier on the hands
I see a dragon on the back of the shirt.
Love hearing what people see in my art! Blessing 🙏
Nice technique. Do you have an online shop that you sell from?
Thanks my friend...I appreciate you. Anytime I release an entire collection it will be released on my website psyserenity.com (i try to have a couple releases a month, but i dont force them)
And i also sell stuff on Instagram in between releases 🙏 Thanks again
@@PsychedelicSerenity it looks like a good store I just started mine. You've got some great art.
What brand is the lime pop dye?
Dharma is my favorite but I've been mixing my own because i don't have a order for dharma yet, their shipping is expensive so I make sure I have a decent amount of dye to order before i pull the trigger. 2 scoops of lemon yellow per 10 oz and a 1/4 of turquoise will get ya close to dharmas lime pop😁
Thanks so much . I was doing bright green and lemon yellow . The turquoise makes sense.I am gonna definitely do that!@@PsychedelicSerenity
Wait a minute you put it in your dehydrator??
Also turned out amazing!!
Yes...after the soda ash....they get sealed in a ziplock bag....then the dehydrator..And that is basically used to bring it to 148 degrees so the dyes set. Instead of waiting 24hours you can rinse them after 3 hours in the dehydrator. Make sure your bag is air tight or it will dehydrate it🤣
