Wow nice work! Fun to see these projects come back to life. I have an old Coleman lantern that works like this one. I like the filament lighter on this one better than the Colemen.
That brown paint won't hold on that lamp hood. It gets way too hot. Originally it was covered with enamel. There are also some rubber seals in the bottom of the pump and in the shutoff valve that can be replaced.
Lovely restoration, correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like you were using polyester filler on the hood and spray paint which unless is totally heat proof will burn off under the colossal heat that these lamps reach.
Such a great restoration 👏👏

Oh wow I love those lamps used one for years whilst sea fishing in front of my home
Cool 😎
Nice refurbishing effort and project. It looks very nice and like new. I always like those type lanterns... Thumbs Up!
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Nice 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Every Scooby Doo episode had one of these.

I appreciate the effort. However I do not see that vent paint holding up very long. They were originally enameled for a good reason
Is there a racetrack near by? I always hear like F1 cars speeding up.
