I will say, if you’re fine with doing some DIY work, there’s a new OLED mod for the switch lite showcased by Taki. I’ve just placed an order for this special lite version as well as the DIY mod(I bought the Touch version so it’ll ship in november) and honestly can’t wait to play my modded lite in the future. By the way if you’re fine without touch display, there’s a non preorder version of the mod you can purchase right now.
I'll be buying this console. I'm 33, and I have not purchased my own switch, but have been feeling the nostalgia for my old gameboy advance. I shopped around for the OLED model a year ago, but it was too big and clunky for me, and I had no interest in the dock feature. I'm planning to purchase the lite with the zelda game release and am planning to download a bunch of my old favorite gameboy games (like golden sun, and pokemon). I don't care if new games will be released for the next console, because for me, this is going to be a nostalgia device for me to play at my leisure and have in my purse. I think this is what Nintendo might be aiming for, a very specific target audience to reduce the stock of their switch lites before the new console release.
Switch lite was releases in 2019 and the Oled in 2021 if not mistaken. Overall it really doesn't matter if it's too late or too soon. The original switch will still get new stuff and will live for a loooong time considering the fact many companies let some consoles live for a very long time, like PS3 for example. Overall just enjoy and if you interested in doom like games I suggest to you to get Prodeus and Void bastards. Cheers
@@MuxMaxmou Exactly!! That’s what I’m saying!! This is not just another switch, it’s a true collectors item. People don’t realize the importance of items like this and how much of an investment that are. I’m almost tempted to buy 2 tbh so I can have one as a display on my shelves lol

The Switch lite is the logical choice right now if you are looking for a christmas present. No point shelling out for a full size one with a new version being released next year.
Buying thiss one after selling my scarlet edition one. Had some rough times and now I'm back on the horse. I also prefer the feel of the lite and how more handheld it is and less brick.
I have a Switch V1 but decided to buy a switch lite last week for about 97 USD and do not regret it. It feels much better to grip imo and find my self picking it up more than my V1 since I don't use docked a whole bunch. The Hyrule edition lite is very expensive here in Australia so I decided to get a normal lite.
Hyrule Ed is only about 15$ more here in Canada and includes a premium subscription to Nintendo online for 1 year I haven’t bought a Switch at all but might jump on this
Why pre order this? There will be like 100 of these in each store. Just buy it on release day. Just like the animal crossing bundle one, plenty on shelves. Nintendo will be selling these as long as they still have stock. They are just trying to get ride of old stock and keep the sales going. As someone who used to collect stuff. It all just collects dust eventually, expecially if it is something that isn't worth much. My stuff that is worth a lot is stuff that I bought without the intent to collect but because I liked it.
@@DiremagicSo basically waste of money. No need of collecting something that is mass produced and easy to obtained. People did that with the animal crossing V2 switch thinking it was some limited edition now there are thousands of them in the wild. Not really that collectable.

I initially purchased the Nintendo Switch when it was first released, but due to the limited game selection at the time, I lost interest and traded it in for credit towards a PlayStation 5 when it became available. Later on, when the Splatoon 3 edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED was released, I made another purchase. However, due to my busy schedule, I rarely had the opportunity to play it and eventually sold it to a friend who expressed a strong desire for it. I deeply regretted this decision as the Splatoon edition had a unique and appealing design. What you guys think would be the resell value for this console ? I feel as if the switch especially switch lite has been on a decline for demand. So would this collectors switch even be worth much after release ?
Well the 3ds consoles have skyrocketed in resell value in recent months. Especially the limited editions! The games too! So perhaps years down the road there will be a collector willing to pay top dollar for an unopened Hyrule switch lite. We also don't know how many are being manufactured or how rare they will be. I guess time will tell.
If I do get this, can anyone tell me where I can get it modded with an OLED screen? I can probably do it myself, but even with screen protectors I have a hard time keeping it completely dust-free
I only have one Switch Lite (and a couple of regular and Oled Switches), so I jumped on the pre-order for this one. I love to play the lite on the go, and this pretty edition will be my back-up unit, should my original one break in the future. I'm thinking ahead because I have many games and will be playing them for many years to come. If your unit breaks in a few years, it's smart to have a back-up because they will be very expensive to replace in a few years.
In fairness, a lot of the games I play are JRPGs that aren't relying on the latest, best hardware. many are remasters of games older than the switch anyhow. I now have a Pokemon Oled, an Animal Crossing Lite and now this Hyrule Lite. They're great devices and the switch 2 isn't going to allow me to play these games any better. That said, I'm sure I'll still get the new switch when it releases. :-)

I have the TOTK OLED and I want the Hyrule Lite, but I’m having a hard time justifying any need for it. I’m not going to get it just to look at it, I would use it. But the whole point of the Switch is that’s it portable to begin with.
I think I will get this because wow the price is very appealing. Someone like me who never owned a Nintendo console since the GameCube. I see this as a great opportunity to have a handheld console that I will play games I missed out on all this time. Zelda games I haven't played since Twilight princess 😅. I mainly game on Xbox so not being able to hook this up to my TV is not a big deal. It looks so awesome and again that price is so affordable I thought this would be like 300 until I was researching it.
PS2 ran for 12 years. Not sure why most content creators focus on seven years with the switch. Personally, think if they reduce the price, they'll get the lead
When a new console get to the market, they don't stop the production and support of it's antecessor immediately. When the PS3 launched, the PS2 was 6 years old, but the production of PS2 continued for more 6 years. The problem with Switch is that it already has 7 years on the market but Nintendo still didn't announced it's successor.
As someone who hasn't owned a switch yet I'm tempted to buy a lite. I am planning on saving up for the switch 2 but I really want to play these games now.
Nintendo hasn't given out the information for Switch 2 yet and the price will go up when released so it's still good to buy the Switch Lite Hyrule edition. I own an Oled Mario edition but will definitely buy the Switch Lite Hyrule if I don't have to save up the money for my video editing course.
A switch lite would still be a good buy imo because even if you get a switch 2, the Switch Lite is better for traveling and isn't as heavy (assuming switch 2 will be bigger than og switch.)
I like the lite for the portability and at least for me, it feels better as a handheld than my oled. So the oled stays connected to the T.V. and the Lite goes wherever I go. I am getting the Hyrule edition, too because it's uh well Zelda :)

Why are we getting a Nintendo Switch special edition? Because we always get special editions of systems. That's why. There's no secret reasoning behind it. It is just something that always happens. I'm getting one even though I already have the Switch and the Oled. I've been wanting a Switch lite since day one but couldn't decide on the color until now.
The hyrule edition was really tempting since i love the Zelda franchise, but since it doesnt come with the game and its two hundred bucks i decided to buy the Aloha edition for 159 which comes with a game at least. With that saved money ill get the new zelda game when it releases.
I pre-ordered one. 😊 I‘ve got a Switch oled which I hardly ever use in handheld-mode, because it is just too big and uncomfortable to hold. Although the Switch 2 may come soon, I presume it will take another 1-2 years until we‘ll get a smaller handheld version of it. I‘m a collector and a player so I‘ll keep it as a spare for my old Pokemon edition which has seen some wear and tear. But I don‘t intend to sell it for a profit. For that purpose I bought some of Nintendo‘s shares in the stock market. 😎
I agree that the oled is not comfortable as a handheld. The Lite feels much better in the hands! I pre-ordered the Hyrule edition and love the feel and gameplay of the Lite that I've had for years.
I use a modded 3DS my brother has a switch but I never invested in it myself. Kinda annoyed the did away with virtual console and moved to a subscription service. I’m waiting for this new successor console, I hope it’s a new platform versus an evolution of the switch design. I find the switch aesthetically as a console very unappealing
Only way i would get a switch lite if they made an oled version with stretched oled screen with better battery life. Right now im enjoying my regular oled that share with bro.
The rising tide raises all boats… it’s a great way to increase revenue during the buying excitement of the new Zelda game, end of video, mic drop. That’s all she wrote fellas
Because they sell well. Also games run better on the Lite. Less judder and it looks better on the smaller screen. I compared side by side and like the Lite better. Sound is not as good but I use earbuds.
just scalpers they don't represent the value or price don't buy of these fools......The hyrule edition is not limited so plenty of stock available.....
I'm 100% getting that Hyrule switch when it comes out. I was eyeballing the Zelda Switch OLED for too long, waiting and waiting for a good pay to come in, and I completely missed it. Not doing that again. Day one that little guy is mine

Ngl it’s coming out on my birthday So I said fuck it imma jus buy it😭 yes ive already have a switch since 2017 but honestly it’s not as portable as id like. (I don’t play Zelda that much but once I get the switch I’ll be sure to get botw) (played a bit of it and had fun but idk if I’d like a top down game) honestly i just really like the color and I’ve been meaning to get into Zelda so rn and I think it’d just be nice to have a more portable system (plus it’s battery is probably better than my 7 year old switch that I never really take out the dock unless I can bring a carrying case) plus all my right joycons are funky and don’t like handheld mode(Idfk why) so maybe a lite would be better for that too
The color on this one is great! I will say the battery on Switch Lites are noticeably shorter than the OG Switch, so I would recommended having a power bank, or having the charger with you. Zelda is a great series! Hope it works out for you.

I agree that the oled is not comfortable as a handheld. The Lite feels much better in the hands! I pre-ordered the Hyrule edition and love the feel and gameplay of the Lite that I've had for years.
Bro in the thumbnail so chopped 😂😂💔
I use a modded 3DS my brother has a switch but I never invested in it myself. Kinda annoyed the did away with virtual console and moved to a subscription service. I’m waiting for this new successor console, I hope it’s a new platform versus an evolution of the switch design. I find the switch aesthetically as a console very unappealing
I already got a switch 2 lite. It’s my Lite
I got one yday finally xD can't wait to play the pokemon games
I already have the turquoise switch lite but ima sell it to my friend and get the hyrule edition
They are trying to get our money and we bite it. And we are happy about it :)
I buying two, well I preordered one then I’m probably gunna buy a modded one or buy another to mod myself
I’m buying one to collect only.
Gotta go gold
Because they sell well. Also games run better on the Lite. Less judder and it looks better on the smaller screen. I compared side by side and like the Lite better. Sound is not as good but I use earbuds.
Yes im going to buy it
They want to be the best selling console
The Hyrule Ed is already showing up on eBay for $299 ... yeesh!
just scalpers they don't represent the value or price don't buy of these fools......The hyrule edition is not limited so plenty of stock available.....
to collect it.. yes
The switch lite is the best switch model ez
I'm 100% getting that Hyrule switch when it comes out. I was eyeballing the Zelda Switch OLED for too long, waiting and waiting for a good pay to come in, and I completely missed it. Not doing that again. Day one that little guy is mine
Pre orders are available in USA
@@expensivebuddah awesome! Amazon Canada still seems to be setting it up and it’s not on Canadian Walmart or ebgames yet but I’ll be checking now that it’s getting preorders in the USA :) Thanks!
Zelda ToTK Switch OLED is still plentiful in the US. Would shipping be too expensive from USA to Canada?
I want the botw & totk with new switch lite instead of the wand game
hello, like your Channel i have Super Smash bros Switch special edition. and i have Nintendo switch lite pokemon edition. and The legend of Zelda Tears of the kingdom Oled edition, and i have pre order the Nintendo Switch lite Hyrule Edition, its very cool. i like it, and i have Nintendo 3ds The legend of zelda Majora's Mask edition.
Why? Nintendo's scared of their own next gen
Cause their smart and gonna milk this thing till the end
We want lite oled switch
You're correct 👍
They should of just made a new design Switch lite instead of the same Block style I wish they made it looks like Ps vita 2000 style 😂
OLED switch lite would be my dream switch
Easy answer. It's a last-minute cash grab before the next console comes out. Just slap on a new paint job and people fall for it every time.
Just bought one from Walmart with animal crossing for $160 like a week ago.
I love my switch lite
The switch and switch lite SHOULD be replacing the 3ds. The new console will be docked only.
Why? Money. The answer is always money.
Not getting it bcz it’s not oled
@@TanukiMediaOfficial thank you! But I got a day 1 switch so I think the battery would be better
Nintendo's anti-consumer practices continue
The Switch 2 will be backward compatible. Otherwise, they wouldn't keep releasing new games
I. Buy pre owned switch
