hi there, indeed this is a great mod, actually one of the best out there, but the only thing that i appointed some time ago was the supply system, in the way that with only 6 turns as a faction like england you cant make a crusade through territories all the way up to holy land, sure it stops in friendly territories but it doesnt replenish, so you still gonna get a lot of attrition and in the long terms you will not make it, as england i wanted to make a crusade to holy land but this doesnt allow me to do so, hope in future we get a submod or something that allow it. After Basil II conquered the Bulgarian Empire around 1018, he left the nobility mostly intact. A Bulgarian ethnical/cultural minority existed in 1100 :) With multiple rebellions occurring at the period most notably the ones from 1072 Konstantin Bodin & Georgi Voiteh and 1040's Petar Delyan rebellion. We've tried our best to represent the cultural minority living within the Roman Empire's borders using the limitations of Rome 2's engine limitations. That's why Bulgaria is a vassal to Rome and can't even interact diplomatically with other factions due to that.

I love this mod! The pace, the diplomacy, the difficulty, great! Big thanks to the devs, you guys are awesome! Only thing I would criticize is that there are not enough different siege battle maps so the sieges get very repetitive very quickly. Also if you play a northern faction it's impossible to do a crusade because you don't have enough supply to reach Jerusalem. Only solution is to conquer a port city on the way and resupply
I've been playing this mod the last couple days as Byzantium/Roman Empire as it's my favorite in the medieval era. And while I'm loving it so far I have to point out that a lot of the events involving the crusades/orthodoxy/Catholicism for this faction can be quite annoying. No matter which option you pick you get a huge diplomacy penalty to whichever side you didnt pick and in some cases public order and income penalties. While I dont dislike the idea, the size of the penalties makes the events feel more tedious than anything and makes it basically impossible to at least have neutral relations with one side and positive relations with the other. Also the income/public order penalties dont say if there is a time limit on how long they last so if its permanent that is also a bit too harsh in my opinion. So again while I'm loving it overall the arbitrary penalties on some of the events need to be toned down in my opinion.
Thanks! Will be nice if you tell Event name. About penalties effects - all they have term like 6-10 turns. Its written in event message or faction menu. Regards!
my main problem with this mod is AI army composition , like more than half of the army are skirmishes or archers , making battles quite tedious and boring ,
I've been playing a lot, and that's not my experience. It seems to be the flavor of certain civilizations to lean heavier into certain units over others. I was fighting the Seljuk and half their army were annoying and deadly lancers and horse archers.
After playing its new version I can still say that this mod lacks a lot of balancing that Medieval had and MK1212 has it going, and that is that this mod is still depending on reskinning Rome 2 units instead of balancing them on real combat. For example one of the most basic infantry units have a melee attack of 28 and skirmisher units which in real warfare were used as flanking units for rear and side charges after their used their missiles have a melee attack of 7, which makes them borderline useless for melee charges. This problem is solved in MK 1212 and the DEI mod also solved this problem by balancing skirmisher units as light side infantry units that do not excel but are worthy in melee flanking and rear attacks. Skirmishers still get destroyed attacking melee units on the rear and do not seem to cause a high morale impact, but it seems that this mod is still on early stages and balances is not a priority yet.
Found 1 unit and call mod unbalanced? Dude, with such approach I can find tens such units in any mod. And talking about early stage after 5 years of Mod's dev is simply a ridicule and the desire to look better than the creators.
I'm sorry you don't like our mod, but I hope you change your opinion in the future! 👍 However, talking about only reskin is absolutely inaccurate. We were the first Rome II mod to bring new provinces, new city slots, new big cities and geographical displacements of some cities such as Constantinople. Also, there are unique scripts and events, like Crusade and Jihad, and new mechanics like equipment system and medieval II style diplomacy. More scripts and mechanics will be added in the future. If these factors are not considered, then all mods are simple reskin 😅
Bro try removing taxes from Constantinople if you spared some time and read the season effects and in general what 1100AD does differently from Vanilla you'd realize that it's not a matter of broken game or what not. Constantinople is the most developed city by default when you start and that consumes lots of food. Until you build farms you need to play a bit with removing taxes so you avoid the food consumption issues. I've done it on Legendary difficulty without any soft mod applied, if i did it you can do it also.
Ive been playing it for a few hours and im not impressed. Whats the point of having 4 turns a year instead of 2 when troop xp, building speed and research speed are all cut in half. And my troop movement is also only half as far and all the npcs can move the regular amount.
tried it today and as much as i like the setting its too hard for me :( even on normal difficulty normandy is sending 3 full stack armies at me within 14 turns! and i can barely get 1 full stack army without going bankrupt and the normany armies are full of medium tier units! its crazy hard and not fun

Regards!
Or, like in my case, I sold off Rhodes for some quick cash and 15 turns later the crusader faction that took over declared war on me.

do anyone know how to fix crashes?
Does anyone know if cavalry is good in this game?
Sure
my main problem with this mod is AI army composition , like more than half of the army are skirmishes or archers , making battles quite tedious and boring ,
Yea i didn’t like how there were a bunch of javelin guys, made me feel like vanilla Rome 2. Tho that may be historically accurate idk
not always but will see what we can do to imrove things
I've been playing a lot, and that's not my experience. It seems to be the flavor of certain civilizations to lean heavier into certain units over others. I was fighting the Seljuk and half their army were annoying and deadly lancers and horse archers.
@@RomanorumVita I like word "annoying" :)
Btw heavy skirmishers have decent attack in the mod: 24. And light Almogavrs have attack 25, cause they were main Iberian infantry.
I'm sorry you don't like our mod, but I hope you change your opinion in the future! 👍
However, talking about only reskin is absolutely inaccurate.
How to download is the most important question
Everytime I try to play 1100 AD I get bandit raided on the first turn and get -41 food and my kingdom instanlty collapses
😭😭 which faction you been playing as and what difficulty?
Bruh, you need send screenshot. Otherwise we could think that you have great fantasy 😅
Hard difficulty and Byzantine empire
@@Gdsryrox Try on Normal with soft submod.
Is this mod on steam?
Yep!
Good job
When I try this mod my game won't open :(
move part 1 above part 2 in mod manager
Ok I'ma try it

@@starsmil9687 ohh shit thanks it works ahahaha
Ive been playing it for a few hours and im not impressed. Whats the point of having 4 turns a year instead of 2 when troop xp, building speed and research speed are all cut in half. And my troop movement is also only half as far and all the npcs can move the regular amount.
English campaign is freakishly hard. Your units have super low morale and get their asses kicked by Normandy because their units are so OP lol
tried it today and as much as i like the setting its too hard for me :( even on normal difficulty normandy is sending 3 full stack armies at me within 14 turns! and i can barely get 1 full stack army without going bankrupt and the normany armies are full of medium tier units! its crazy hard and not fun
Hi! Try with soft submod!
@@starsmil9687 I have lol I've got all the sub mods except longer battles and even with that on I was getting attacked by 3 stacked armies within 14 turns it's vicious! Im usually pretty good at campaigns I can play Rome 2 on hard but this on normal is too hard lok
What game is this ?
Rome 2 :)
Have they gafe Duchy of Bohemia and Moravia proper culture ??? When i cheched last time they were Germanic ... but both Bohemians and Moravians were Slavs xD xD
yep, this will be changed in future.
I get that mod yesterday but i have a bug that most of the Soldiers in battle do not wear the faction uniform, but wear gray armor.. also on campaign map most of the generals wear the same gray armour not the faction uniform
can anyone help?
I just want new units and models. I really dont like all the sim aspects. I wish devs put these out as submods so you can decide if you want them or not. These updates are kinda killing my interest in this great looking mod.
Many units added already. Check Italian or Iberian factions. Submods to disable new mechanics are also there. Don't see reason for complaining.
@@starsmil9687 I just noticed there was a submod to disable the new management.

This mode is awesome but the eastern factions are broken. It's a pain in the back to play even 20 turns with an eastern faction
Broken u mean hard to play?
@@starsmil9687 kinda. it is unbearable to play with the great seljuks for instance. You don't feel you are getting rewarded for the things you do well and many more other things

Why, there is no such thing historically

1100 AD is nice, but the Area of Recruitment system is bonkers and stupid. I don't care other mods did it too, it disturbs gameplay.
Aor system is logical and added to most of huge overhauls like Dei, 1212 etc

@@starsmil9687 Logical/historical? Maybe. But cannot recruit at all is ridiculous.

I have the feeling that TW mods exist only on TH-cam lol
For my opinion 1212 is better than 1100 because its better mate and less buggy also there are much mire factions.
This mod punishes you for playing the game lmao. Wanna capture an enemy settlement? Here you go, crippling public order, no replenishment, no recruitment possibility. Wtf how am i supposed to play a mod that punishes you for everything you do in the game??
just like how real life works lol
sorry but Medieval 2 diplomacy is not good hahahhhhaa

There isn't any thing new in this update no big new things
What would be a big new thing according to you?
@@Master_Ki_Adi_Mundi
New factions
New map
New era
New troops
@@abdoufatahga9243 I'm not sure if you have noticed but many new factions and a plethora of new troops have been created over the last updates. Also by new map/new era that would be an entirely new project which is something we have in mind, but it demands tons of work, however its easy for you to say i guess.
