I did a 21 day trek on the Owyhee canyon lands when I was a troubled 16 yr old battling drug addiction with half a dozen other kids going through similar things from all over the US. Sort of an “outward bound” type of experience. I have tons of memories and interesting stories about my time in this truly majestic area, and I will definitely cherish them forever.

One of my favorite places where I go often. You did a great job photographing and describing it. 'Glad you made it hiking to the high plateau area--that's where the wild horses often hang out. Also a few miles west of the boat ramp, there is a primitive hot spring along the shore. A bit far for a casual kayak though. And it's true that the roads can get VERY slick in the rain.

To close the ProMaster door: Instead of PULLING the door forward with the handle(which is at the front of the door), put your hand on the back of the door & PUSH it forward and just before gets to the end of the track, push the door inward - this makes it a whole lot easier on my ProMaster. Also, from the inside of the vehicle - I get the door rolling forward and then as it nears the end of the track, I pull the back of the door inward (this may or may not be possible depending on your conversion. Main thing is to get inward pressure on the back of the door when it gets to being almost closed

If you are going to be in Oregon for a little while longer or passing back through there on our way out of the PNW I wanted to let you know that Dawn of The Dawn of Vanlife is in Ashland Oregon till October. She is working at the Oregon Shakespeare Theatre. It's and outdoor theatre. If you plan to go through there maybe you can look her up and go see at a play there and see her while you are there? She would probably love a visit from nomads she met before. Remember I told you guys about her before? And I think you met her at The Gutted event? BTW that drone footage of that green and brown colored valley was just gorgeous. It looked like what I imagine Ireland or Scotland might look like.

I'm looking to take a pull trailer from Pismo Beach to Crescent City in Oct. Where can I find information about free camping between these destinations? I'm new to your channel and have fallen in love with you two kiddo's. Me and my partner are unable to hike, walk or stand for any length of time. Watching your videos I hope will introduce me to places you can pull right up to and enjoy nature and not just view all the places I'm no longer capable of getting to. But then, through you at least I get to see what else I could see if I could go for walks again.
