Definitely agree that the Project/Programme Director role and potentially the Steering Committee should have arbitration as a key responsibility but I have found that, on the human side, some people don't like to make decisions without having all the facts, and, especially early on in a project, these might not be readily available. This has the potential to cause delays. Like Dilbert says, "Never be in the same room as a decision". I have found that co-evolving or developing an organisational continuous improvement process enables such decisions to be made because there's somewhere for concerns/anxieties to go. Excellent video.

Two months ago I visited a production company in the surroundings: 40 employees, 4 workers in the production. 36 employees were there to feed the juggernaut. Now, finally, I have a clear understanding of digital transformation.

Eric - I appreciate the down-to-earth reality you're sharing. The hard work and messiness will never be part of the sales cycle of it's all simple clicks and workflows, easy automations, and life-changing visualization promises from buried data & analytics. As I believe you are, I'm a firm believer that being honest and realistic is key, it's not all doom and gloom, but clients needs to understand what their signing up for and how we as consultants will successfully help them achieve their goals. I'm glad I've discovered your channel.
