This is the very kit that got me back into modelling after a 30 odd year hiatus. Bought for me by my number two Son knowing my love of all things F-15, bit of a challenge for eyesight and dexterity in my mid sixties. Your what if, looks great
That's a fantastic what if. The model looks quite accurate shape-wise. I have this one in my stash to be built at a future time. Good work with the diorama too.
The other thing I was considering is indeed a yellow wing machine but by December 1941 these had gone. USAAF were drab over grey and USN was like this. I opted for the naval scheme as it felt more appropriate for the job.
Looks absolutely phenomenal! I love what you did with this, it's great!!! The purple is a very nice touch, I love how you tied it to the portal with the missile. For the portal, perhaps the... uhh... grain of the cotton, for lack of a better term, can be tousled into a swirling pattern? I always think of swirling with time portals for some reason, so that might also just be me haha! But either way, this looks excellent, first diorama or fiftieth! (Oh, and the 4 bombs is clearly because he was sent back in time not to fully change the events of Pearl Harbor [after all, you can't mess with the past, right? That's how we get paradoxes] but it's because some rogue group *also* went into the past to try to change the events of the day, and he's there to damage key strategic assets of these shadowy time-ruffians. Future diorama idea?)
Excellent buddy!! I love your humor. Very unique.

I say this knowing the irony of the kit I'm currently building ... but it's a bit small for me
Very cool. thank you for a what if.

Very smart, nut as a USAAF machine, wouldn't it have had something like chrome yellow wings and olive drab or natural metal fuselage?

Awesome Lee.👍👍👍
Hi love the plane…….hate the portal. However I generally dislike all dioramas so don’t feel too bad?
