I've built this in one of the Coltishall schemes as I don't live a million miles from the former base. They have an excellent heritage centre that is well worth a visit and do guided tours of the base for a bargain £5, well worth a visit. I would love for one of the manufacturers to produce a new tool, well overdue. Excellent video as always, cheers
I built this same kit at the start of the year and agree completely with your review. It's basically a nice kit that fits together pretty well. The fins on the tail are indicated poorly on the instructions and I used internet pictures to research where they were located. Similarly, I also lost one of the pitot tubes and had to replace it with one from the spares box😂 I painted mine with an Arctic camouflage scheme. All in all you did a lovely build and a very accurate review. 👍👍 Ps Tamiya also used these moulds for their editions of the Jaguar. Perhaps an indication that parts fit wasn't going to be too bad.
Lovely build :) First video I've watched (subbed after watching Ms Modeller's video with a few creators). One thought I had with /any/ naval aircraft. Model it with the arrestor hook down.. that way if there isn't enough weight in the nose it looks like a dynamic pose of the aircraft landing, and the modeller can say that's what was intended all along! :)
A lovely build as always. I always thought the Jag was a little ..... Well dull I guess when I was young. She wasn't winning any stats top trumps. She lacked the cool factor of a swing wing, my younger self would say, and the undercarriage was a bit ungainly and made me think of her as a baby giraffe learning to walk. But now I can see a bit of rugged beauty to her. I listened to Mike Sutton's book Typhoon where he recounts his early career flying them and that has given me a greater appreciation for both the Jag and those that were able to get her to do so much. Thanks for the video, I agree a new tool is very much needed, but I might have to give this one a go if I see it.

Bought their 2 seat T-2 kit the other day....looks like a great kit
See Airfix....THIS is what you should have in your range.
Especially in 1:48 scale + 2 seater.
@harriergr7728 at this piont ANY scale would do....me personally i dont build bigger than 1/72

Looks cool. ✈
I'd love to see italeri release a 1/32 Jag GR1 to go with the Tornado.
Agreed, looks great!

Always a favourite jet for me. We really need a 1/32 version!!!!
Obeying the Algorithm - scrubs up nicely btw
Of course he's a captain , he has a jaaaaag ! 😂
The Hasegawa offering is also a good option
I picked up the 2005 release for £5 - box is a bit *bleh* but otherwise a lovely little bargain from what I’m seeing here
@@Dwarvious absolute bargain for £5!
Hasegawa's Jag looks pretty decent but being a 1984 tooling probably isn't *much* better (if at all) than this one. Shame really
@@HellfireModels I'd certainly give it a go if I come across one at a fair price, but I often see them for more than the Italeri one.
If someone does release a new Jaguar, it'll be bright pink and yellow.
