Most of these issues dont have to do with the rp3+'s hardware, the emulator for citra isnt completely there yet in terms of maxing out performance on android devices. Once it's optimized, and can fully render everything without errors this will be a much more optimal 3ds emulation device.

Very nice performance showcase video. The thing I love about my actual 3DS is the 3D effect. I know some people hate it, but I kind of love the novelty of it because I feel more immersive with it. I used to watch 3D movies and loved them, but it blows my mind I can see the 3D effect without any glasses on the 3DS.
I get that, totally. Personally I have very little interest in playing 3DS games on this, but it seems many still want to an kept demanding a video. haha
At this point the only thing holding back 3DS is software. The hardware is very capable but there simply isn't a good 3DS emulator for Android. Citra doesn't have a Vulkan renderer, but if it did most games would work great.

I’ve gotten some real good performance on citra mmj and citra canary(the one with the vulkan renderer). A link between worlds doesn’t stutter at all for me anymore after tinkering with some settings in mmj.
Am I the only one getting the issue where the resolution, removal of on screen buttons, and the custom display settings for CitraMMJ are not saving? Every time I load into a 3DS Game I have to put my resolution to 2x, my screen to custom and remove on screen button. Yes I have changed them in the global settings but it still doesn’t work But it’s weird because the “show fps” works for all games even tho that’s also in the global settings and it comes on and disappears when I want it too but not the other stuff :/ Someone help please? :(

Ive downloaded a link between worlds rom and extracted the zip file, but it wont show the game when i set the path on Citra. Also how did you get that mini screen? Which shows the bottom screen on the 3ds?
Can you advise on settings, I’m having major issues with citra on my rp3+. Through daijisho it open at all as it says I don’t have any installed. Even though I have both citra, citra enchanted and even when playing directly through the app I get major slow down on stuff like Pokémon omega ruby and new super mario bros.
Not that I am aware of. When you connect it via HDMI you can either turn the screen off on the handheld or duplicate it, but you can't use it as a second screen that way. Sorry!
I got a wonder why our different units run so differently. I love my RP 3+. But it does not do 3-D as well like New Super Mario Bros is not playable. It has so many slow downs. Works great on the standard ds though and looks great
That really shouldn't be the case. Although there could definitely be some small differences in performance, the more likely culprit is the emulator version or a setting. Sometimes one obscure setting change can make a huge difference.
Pretty sweet, thank you. I'm okay with occasional and minor graphic slow downs, but it's the music/soundtrack scratching that can ruin it for me. It's weird because sound/music are usually the last things I tend to appreciate. Anyway, I can live with it if I'm listening to other things like music of podcast while playing.
Same, the occasional frame skip/pause here and there isn't that bad as long as the sound is in sync otherwise I consider it not playable despite what the game can do

with the new vulkan update every game is pretty much perfectly playable

Any optimization updates for the 3DS?
None yet. So far none of the emulators support Vulkan and that is key to better performance.

Which version of citra are you using?
Citra MMJ. A detailed guide will be coming, hopefully by next week at the latest.
how much better is it compared to the RP3 (non +)?
3+ is massively better than the 3. Specs range anywhere from 25-100% better. Actual performance wise, not sure but it's quite significant.
