I mean it's a very simple thing but I hadn't thought to check whether the pads could come off. Thanks for being the first result on Google for "How to clean Philips SHP9500," because although I could've easily read somewhere that it comes apart for cleaning, the video demonstration gave me the confidence to safely pull off the pads.
Huge thanks. I have seborrheic dermatitis so my ears shed skin and oil like crazy. This kind of cleaning will have to be a yearly endeavor for me. 😅 It's a lot more daunting than it seems (everyone's afraid of damaging their stuff, understandably) but the whole process is a lot more quick and painless in practice. Having a video like this for reassurance is a big deal though!
I am here for the same reason. I am so thankful that my insurance finally covers Dupixent which has practically cured the atopic dermatitis from the neck down. But from the neck up I still get spots of eczema, and my earpads gross me out because of all the yellow stuff that’s encrusted on it. And I am afraid even if I get the seboorheic dermatitis (after several painful scrubs with Nizoral and tea tree oil) under control, the fungus on the earpads will trigger it again.
Thanks for this. I also recommend cleaning the grime from the outer plastic parts of the headphones, To do this, use a dry cloth with some rubbing alcohol. Make sure to wipe only around the plastic enclosure and across the band, so as not to damage the headphone speakers within.
Thanks for the vid my dude, I've had these things for maybe 2 years and they are...disgusting. I think when I can finally upgrade these I'm gonna go with something synthetic and wipeable, because these things are just giant sponges for grode. It's ridiculous.
Yes it is a Bluetooth dongle, good eye. It's the Avantree Lock aptX. I think it's discontinued now. Maybe you can find some on ebay or somewhere. Here's a video I made on them if you want a little more info: th-cam.com/video/y_mLtShLLv0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YZdIUncmSoPYIWfL
Does this work on the shp9600? I know the headband should come off the same way but it doesn’t look like the ear muffs do. Edit: yea they come off the same way. I just had to put in a little more force
Try wiping with Lysol or something similar to lysol first...then wash them as shown in the video. Lysol kill mold/fungus spores. If Lysol is not available, I would suggest finding something similar that won't damage the fabric on the ear cups.

Thanks, have them soaking in their bath now. Oh what's that mod you have on yours do? Noticed you have an extra plug on it. Bluetooth?
Yes it's a low latency bluetooth transmitter/receiver set. I have another video on it on my channel: th-cam.com/video/y_mLtShLLv0/w-d-xo.html

In this monsoon. It was humid so There is some white fungus/mold whatever it is (its spire like) build up on my pads. How can I clean it?

Anyone got the video for cleaning the shp9600?
What about using alcohol to clean the pads? Would that be ok?
Just buy new ear pads? The stock ones arent very good anyway
I'm good. They can stay stinky. I know I'm gonna break em if I try this.
