I got around 5 or so of these inherited from my late Grandfather. Looks like he used these a good amount. Don't really know anything about them, but I'm trying to learn.
I’m sure he’s looking down upon you jumping with joy (you might think it’s thunder ;) ) carrying on tradition even if it’s just one persons is such a noble task and I wish you nothing but luck
Best thing to do is remove the whistle and insert a pipe to a tank, use a cut off valve and turn on and off to add water to the boiler, its technically an injector then :)
maybe you can clean scale with citric acid, that's how i clean my electric kettle, not many shops sell distilled water where i live. ps: a common name for citric acid is "powdered lemon extract", mix with some water (dosn't need much, a tea spoon in half a liter), works best when hot
How am I supposed to get all of the water out of the boiler once it’s cooled? I use a pipette to get most of it out but there is still so left that I can see when I tilt the engine forward. You can’t just flip it upside down, because the way the hole for the safety value is that there are threads that go down into the boiler and there is t enough water in the boiler for it to reach over the threads. Should I look for a longer pipette?
Just a question, in the clip you say to remove fuel tray whilst hot, so it won't stick. But that is when it has expanded because of the heat. I tried what you said and it's very hard to get out when the tray is hot. So is this a mistake in the video?
No, it cools the tray sticks hard in there, trust me, I was scared of all most breaking the knob off the burn tray. Now I always slide it 1/2 way out when not in use
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Maurice Frank I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.

I love the speaking voice.
lol

Lol. Next we will add a condensate return system and Deaerator for maximum efficiency.
just bought one on Ebay .. waiting for it in the mail and this video will be very helpful
thank you~~~~~!
Use Distilled water (like water for car batteries) this prevent lime Stone to build up in the boiler and the tubes 😎

I have a Meccano Steam engine bought in 1952 and it still goes like the clappers
Wow I love this sooo much I’m gonna ask my dad for this
My dad gave it for my birthday in 1974, i turned 8 years
LOOK AT HOW MUCH THE CAMERA IS VIBRATING!!!
do you know what model steam engine this is?, thanks in advance.
Wilesco d5
Or D6

should I take the safety valve out while in operation to fill water
Only if you wish to find out what steam burn feels like first hand.
I have an antique American made version of this!

@Maurice Frank It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out !
@Myles Jamir Happy to help :)
Awesome 😊 i remember
Cool
Probably a D5/D6 (they are the same, just that the D5 comes disassembled and you'll have to assemble it youself)
pls dont use normal water use destilled water
Distilled
Sorry for asking but why wouldn’t you use normal water? I have no background in engineering so that’s why I’m asking.
MFG ! Tap water has a lot of corrosive minerals. Heat & water is already a bad combo for metals and it just adds to the problem.
My Steamengine exploded
pseudoprodigy where i live (utrechtse heuvelrug) has potentially the best tap water in europe (there are almost no minerals in the water)
cool
I WANT THIS
Just got mine for 12$ at thrift store :D
Got Mine for 1$ 😂
😂😂😂 i live you Videos
berapa harganya? kalau di rupiahkan? indonesia
I have the same as that its a d6
mira vanleeuwen - Is a D6 powerful enough to drive a implement?
nightlightabcd I’ve had a d6 powering 4 tools with two line shafts and 6 drive belts
I removed the engine from my bugatti veyron and replaced it with a D6, it's much faster now 👍
Buy a few of these engines and attach them to a turbine that produces electricity. Then you can have a power plant.
You should never try to fill it while it's running, wait till it cools then refill the water.
Jeez, look at the title. Can anyone spell or punctuate these days?
It1s my teacher who say to watch this
any one noticed the wight dust under the hammer head lol CRACK HAMMAR lol XD
i prefer mamod live stean
Why?
Wilesco is a lot more visually pleasing
