I'm looking to build a mini machinist shop - a working one. I'm getting into watch making so why not. What model would be best suited to be retrofitted to run the equipment and stay oiled etc. PS yes I'll be using steam!

My problem is taps and drills. I contacted a source over your way but have yet to hear from them. Can you help me with a source? I need 5ba,7ba taps drills, and dies. I think the rest is standard English. I have only been machining for a couple of years and have never tackled anything like this. Your video's are great . Do you have any that show machining one from beginning to end? Thank you.

The blue was a bit startling, an unusual colour for steam engines I think. I like it though.

They were built from Casting sets - not ready made.

Both nice looking engines, Keith, but I have to ask... Is the steam chest cover on the blue engine a replacement, or is it merely mounted backwards?
