Higher refresh rate is overrated tbh, most people don't care or even know what it is. Personally I could take it or leave it for most use cases (with the exception of when I'm gaming, when the difference becomes important to me).
It's annoying how him and John always scoff at that complaint as if that opinion isn't valid if you are charging extra for a feature my 150 $ a15 Samsung phone has how is that not a rip off?
@@HumbertoDeLaRochayeah I have the 15 pro and I bought it around launch. I remember my phone would get so hot I couldn’t even hold it. It’s better now but it still gets hotter than my previous phone (iPhone 11) ever did. It was supposed to be fixed but I’d say it was a half fix. The problem is still there
I’ve said before, apple now reminds me of the video game industry where they release something and promise to make it better in future updates. Marques Brownlee said it best. “Don’t buy tech based on the promise of future updates.”
thats bcs of that quote that's making me backing up my choice on a 16 Pro and getting a 15 Pro new at a lower price, then ill get the 17 when AI comes to iPhones in Europe
@@Jose-Luis.Garnica-Sanchez Yeah that’s totally fair and honestly I don’t fault him for that. It’s apple. They usually come through on what they say they’re gonna do. Still… it’s just so unusual for me to get hyped by apple on a product or service and then the main selling point of something… isn’t included in the product. That’s just my opinion though. (:
@@vanderslagmulders Yeah, fpt. Had a video that was solid. The concept marketing and product concepts were so on point, the entire production felt like it was apple.
It’s called “ProMotion” not “StandardMotion”. ProMotion is for the Pro models only. I don’t anticipate this ever changing. It’s been this way since iPhone 13. 60 Hz is good enough for most people. It’s just a way Apple tries to convince you to buy the more expensive phone.
@@BimmerWon meanwhile budget phones have oled 120hz screens , there's nothing PRO about 120hz , just apple forcing people to pay more for a now standard feature on almost all phones
I was on the fence but leaning towards “no”. Now for sure I’m not buying the 16. My 13 pro max is working great with plenty of storage space available. 👍🏻
I’m still rocking the 13 Pro Max also but I’ve noticed a problem where my phone goes into SOS mode and gets stuck there sometimes. I had a Sims card error and had to get a completely new Sims card.
Same exact situation here. iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB with AT&T. Next year will be the finally $1000 coupon for my iPhone model so it will be an upgrade of iPhone 17.
Living in the EU, german speaking country, the Iphone 16 pro is a 15 pro with a tiny bit more battery and an additional button. Apple not delivering on AI here makes me very much thinking about switching to a google phone.
Living in Norway and now having a 15PM in very good condition I think I this year will keep my current iPhone, and I really will say you may be very right in this statement: "Living in the EU, german speaking country, the Iphone 16 pro is a 15 pro with a tiny bit more battery and an additional button." And further: I think that this new button, contrary to what most of all think, may be a problematic button, as it may inadvertently be activated just by holding the phone normally in a vertical way, when you not intend to use the camera (or more specific: "the new camera button".

You can't sue Apple just because you don't like their product. They don't force anyone to buy their products and they don't lie about what's on offer, so you'd be wasting your time.
Im surprised they are marketing it like its some revolutionary new thing. Android has had mappable buttons for many years and one of those mappable features is to map camera controls (zoom too) to a side button.
@@junkiexl86 i got the iphone 16 yesterday and ngl the camera control button fr useless unless u HAVE to use the camera horizontally cuz vertically it just doesnt work cuz one finger on the mf take pic button, another on the zoom, like its useless if all in all u gotta use 2 hands to work the stupid gimmick in the first place making a photo just take longer
The problem is that the changes in the iPhone 16 (all models) were so minor this year that it clearly didn’t deserve the "16" branding. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have a slightly bigger battery, a minor design update with the action button, a slightly better camera than last year, and a new photo-taking button. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max feature a bigger screen, a new battery, a slightly better camera with a photo button, and a new titanium finish. I’m not a hater or anything-I love Apple, and I upgrade every year from the Pro Max to the new Pro Max, using all of the new features. But the truth is, this year, with the phones looking so similar to last year’s models, I feel they should have just called them the 15S instead.
Yeah I agree. And the EU basically got last year’s model with a better battery and new button. To the EU, it’s an even lesser upgrade. I’d likely still upgrade because I’d be coming from an iPhone 11 and iPhone SE (2020), which is really just like an iPhone 8. And that one looking like an iPhone 6.
I mean the 15 was just a 14 with a 0.2mm sliver of titanium around the bezels, that in drop tests did basically nothing vs previous models. You had a run benchmarks between the 14 and 15 just to see the CPU/GPU improvements. Thats about it. I guess you can kind of make the argument the "pro" CPU in the 15 Pro's enable and is now is requirement for Apple AI, but even then from what Ive seen, its doesn't really offer any real benefits to the average user base that Siri wasn't already doing on previous phones. Even the camera doesn't get a pass. In comparison examples, the 16 looks the exact same as the 13, unless you crop in really tight to "spot the differences". Outside of RAW, Apple has done almost nothing with the 48MP sensor since it debuted on the 14
Though I agree to an extent. Wont happen. So long as people keep lining up to purchase despite lack of innovative and worthwhile changes/upgrades, they wont change the course of the ship. "Just change the look of the camera bump and tell them this is the best iPhone yet!"...300M will sell!

What’s worst is, a lot of those features could very well get cancelled. Like you know what hardware you’re getting when you buy the phone. But for software, if they hit a hurdle, features can get cancelled. Especially considering those features are relying on an outside company. Even more is, AI is on shaky ground. There’s a lot of pushback to AI. Legislation could come out to stop it.
@@BreinGames This is very true. It’s happened before. They have misled people in the past. I am hesitant to buy it for that reason. And if all the AI features don’t come out until 2025, then why not just wait and see what the iPhone 17 Pro brings?
The thing about AI is they can't really guarantee it will work as good as what they're showing. I've been messing with language models and a lot of them are just really bad. No one is going to use Apple Intelligence's language and image features if the quality isn't good.
This isn’t the first time Apple has done this. They announced Deep Fusion as a feature of the iPhone 11 series at the iPhone 11 event in 2019. The feature wasn’t made available until iOS 13.2 in October 2019.
Is it not weird that they try to sell products that they can't sell? I live in the Netherlands (EU). When I was curious about the iPhone the Dutch website pointed me to this launch event for the new products. I see this feature that Apple in the Netherlands is selling me, but wait, we will never get that feature. Is that not weird? It certainly is misleading. Sure, they don't even mention this feature on the Dutch website but they did point to the American introduction video on the Dutch website. I think a lot of EU citizens don't know that they don't get this feature. The product was presented with this feature on the Dutch website. Nowhere in the video did they say that we don't get this feature ever.
It gets worse when you go to the Apple website and select any country in the EU and see that Apple Intelligence is not mentioned or advertised anywhere at all on iPhone 16!! So it doesn’t look like it will be available…… ever…..
I knew he would make a video like this they glaze up the phone all year long make you buy it then immediately make a video about its flaws when it releases
I am still gonna buy the 16 as I’m upgrading from my 4-year-old iPhone SE 2. The solution for me and anyone else is to be aware in advance that we’re not getting the AI features straight away, and enjoy the upgrades we have got while getting excited as each new AI feature comes around. I know it’s annoying that they’re not available at launch which is arguably the pioneering new feature here, but it’s not the only reason to get the 16 as it is still a really nice upgrade for someone with an older phone like me
I have the opposite issue, I’m straight to the point and struggle to make them a socially acceptable length, as my emails are usually 1-2 sentences long
I’m upgrading to the 16 Pro Max and couldn’t care less about the AI delay. I will keep my 13 for a dedicated camera in my studio. One of the main reasons why I haven’t started recording YT videos yet - it’s a pain in the arse to have to keep setting it up each time. Not gonna lie, I’m kinda stoked!
@@southernfried19 i mean bro if the guy is financially capable why not😂, it might be overpriced for the tech but the man can afford it, but i do agree they are overpriced

I would rather have a 120hz display over some stupid AI. And the cool part is, they could have added that specific feature with NO WAIT TIME. But no instead they put the money in AI that you are FORCED TO WAIT FOR.....for a feature nobody asked for or was wanting in the first place. Talk about missing the mark and giving us something we never wanted but will have to wait for anyway. That is such an other company move but now it's Apple doing this kind of move. Weird times.

What's more crazy is that AI is software based, really no different from a search engine that still relies on another search engine (Google) it's like Siri but she finally got an true upgrade and the fact that it's not ready when the new phones release just honestly goes to show how lazy Apple's research & development software team is becoming. @@Äpple-pie-5k"Never buy a new product today with the promise of new software tomorrow." If you've pre-ordered a new iPhone 16 today just for Apple Intelligence, I would like to share my condolences. Best of luck in your lawsuit against Apple.
I’m no blind iPhone loyalist, I enjoy my iPhone and my AirPod pros are amazing, now that’s out the way, I’ll say this. There is nothing wrong with delaying a release of something until it’s absolutely ready. I’d have that over early release which doesn’t work properly any day of the week. If you want the iPhone 16, you’re not losing anything you’re just being held back until everything’s perfect. It’s the Apple way. Honestly yes, it is weird and annoying but it’s not this huge issue that’s going to make the phone pointless.
It’s kind of not the apple way… I mean, as the video shows, they held off releasing the iPhone 4S because Siri wouldn’t be available. Apple holds back putting things out until it’s ready. I really know how it’ll play out long term, but watching the presentation it really just struck me how we’ve been hearing about this AI stuff-it finally gets announced. We know it’s gonna be for the newest iPhone. The new iPhone will release… and it still won’t have AI. And even when it does… it won’t be all the features. It just reminds me of something other tech companies would do. Or like when video game developers release a game and promise to deliver later on things they promised in the previews. Halo Infinite is a prime example of this. (Sorry. I know this isn’t about video games, but it just reminded me their fiasco 😅).
I agree. They also have to do this over various M chip devices like MacBook, iPad pros, and the iPhone 16. However, I’m a blind Apple loyalist and will buy more Apple stuff this year.
They had a whole year. It’s a 3 trillion dollar company with the best engineers available at their disposal. If they couldn’t do it in a year, they shouldn’t announce it.
Nobody would be successful in a lawsuit against this topic. The timeline for theses releases are available in the fine print on their website. Also, none of these AI services are essential for the phone’s usage so no judge would see a compelling reason to accept a complaint.
So long as apple delivers on their “Apple Intelligence” they can’t be sued. They have two performance obligations here, the hardware and the software, given their marketing of AI features being key to the phone. So long as they don’t overstate their income and allocate revenue to the release of key software that is promised, they are not breaking law. If they led everyone to believe these features are available upon release, then people could sue.
They failed at this event in that they had nothing new to sell. If they did you can damn well believe they would have sold it. I have an iPhone 11 and I don’t feel very compelled to upgrade.
ikr? Or in other words this video only makes sense if AI is the only thing you need and you need it ABSOLUTELY RIGHT NOW or you'll lose your job or something. In other words this video makes no sense because that's not 99.9999% of people.
And by the time all of the features are available, we'll be a month or two away from the iPhone 17, so we might as well wait an extra year to upgrade. Besides, we can get alternatives to Apple Intelligence if we have an iPhone that doesn't support the Apple AI. With iOS 18, I've set a new control in Control Center to open up Google Lens, an alternative to the new Visual Intelligence. For the Writing Tools, I use the Microsoft Copilot keyboard to help revise my writing. Because there are only so much Apple Intelligence can offer in the next few months, it's better for your wallet if you use the alternatives to Apple Intelligence. Renovate your current iPhone that is working pretty well to have these great Apple Intelligence alternatives and save your money, because the iPhone 16 is the same as previous generations if we ignore the whole Apple Intelligence thing.
@@oldman713relax bro, i'm an iphone user, and can buy 40 of it right now, and i still don't buy it because it's still not worth the upgrade from 13 pro max
Buying a phone and then getting features months later means we are using the phone for around 7 months before a new phone launches. the money is not spent for 12 months but for 7 months. It's more expensive! Are people started accepting these norms?
4:46 “I love the way it feels in the hand” its the same shape that they’ve had since the iPhone 12 💀 and the vertical camera layout just looks like a swelled up version of the iPhone X
Google learned from their mistakes with the P9P announcement. They specifically stated their features would be available at release after last year's fiasco with zoom enhance.
The one BIG upgrade is the A18, a two generational jump that equals an M1 in multi-core and OUTPERFORMS it in single-core. It does this while using LESS battery power, YET having more battery storage.
As a developer, Apple Intelligence is a massive undertaking in terms of rollout. Many have to realize that there is so much coding and testing involved so it takes time. I rather have them take their time and get it right rather than rush. I assume delivery of features will speed up once everything is stable.
100% agree, but the issue lies in the fact they’re using Apple Intelligence as a huge selling piece yet it can’t even be used. Seems they need a boost in short term revenue.
Yes. But the problem is they are marketing it as if its a day 1 feature, when it isn't. That's deceptive and they've earned all the backlash they are getting for it.
@@sonixuggh5782 there would be a £100/$100 increase in price if that happened, but that’s only because Apple sells 256gb models for £/$100 more than the 128gb models
The "answer" seems simple to me. Don't buy one until all the features that matter to you have shipped and are working properly. I don't need a new phone just to show people that I have the latest phone.
Your being a bit dramatic 😂. The iPhone 16 exclusive feature is the camera controls button. Every year Apple trickles out features in October /November that weren’t released at launch. Just think of ai as the journal app or Freeform app.

This is exactly why I’m going to hold on to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. All the Apple Intelligence features will eventually be released to my phone, and there are no IPhone 16 specific items being released this year. I’ll be ready for the iPhone 17 Pro Max for next year. I will be getting a new Apple Watch this year though.
i'm super excited for genmoji. wanted to upgrade to the 16 plus, but the 60hz screen is a turnoff. will be keeping my 14 pro max for at least another year and hopefully upgrade to the 17 plus.
Just preordered two new iPhones 16 pros (upgrading from an 11pro and 13pro) and also getting a silver & jet black series 10 watch cause of tmobile promos: overall I think tech reviewers often forget people arent upgrading year in and year out and typically hold onto their phones for a few generations since apple has been pretty consistent with software upgrades. So while everyone saying not to buy an iphone with the promise of a software upgrade they fail to recognize the track record of apple. I could have upgraded last year from the 13 pro but it just made no sense but going from a 13pro to 16pro is a significant upgrade people are failing to recognize.
Thank you for saying this because I am so tired of videos saying BEFORE YOU BUY THIS… it’s a broken record every year… I am coming from a 13 pro too and I simply just want an upgraded version… I don’t care about the “fun” features that are promised like Apple Intelligence and the capture button… I just want a new phone that is the latest model and I think that perspective goes unnoticed
@@MoviesWithMia YUP. Tech reviewers are in their own echo chambers. I think the point is that if you do want the AI feature and don't pay attention you will pay and then be disappointed. Plus not everybody is Apple or nothing so if you want AI and need a phone this will help you decide if you need to jump ship to Android.
Thanks for the update Sam. I will wait before I buy an iPhone 16, if I buy one at all. My 11 Pro Max is going strong so I might wait for the 17 Pro Max.
I don’t understand how people need to get a new iPhone every year. That’s why apple don’t bring big improvements. Becouse its fanboys buy their products anyway, improved or not I read some comments like “I keep my 15 Pro, it’s still running ok”. WOW bro, that’s crazy. No way a 1000$ phone from last year is still performing good..
All of these sponsor ads are so annoying: what does it mean to sponsor a video anyway? Are they just sending him a check for $25,000 to show off their product to us?😊
This is NOT the first time that Apple has promoted a major feature without shipping it right away. Literally, Siri. Which is a staple to everyone iPhone model now.
I preordered 16 pro today, I don’t understand why Apple is struggling to roll out the Apple intelligence features they promised with all the engineers they have working for them aswell as working with OpenAI, it’s so baffling
I mean, think of it this way, tasks like real-time voice recognition or custom image generation involve much more data and complexity than simple Siri requests, leading to higher load per user. They need to thoroughly stress-test their servers before rolling it out and expanding gradually. Especially since millions will buy these devices, and a sudden jump in users hitting the server could take it offline, which would cause more worry investors about their quality and competency. They are taking a "better safe than sorry" approach.
@@12q8 we don’t know that though, for all we know, they might not even have a minimum viable product for half of these features, and there’s already existing API’s and frameworks for a lot of the features you mentioned. It’s just hard to imagine this delay is purely because of a scaling issue.
A) It's also coming to iPhone 15 pro/pro max, and B) the reason for the delay is. they are afraid to turn Apple Intelligence on. Very. Afraid. Refer to T3: Rise of the Machines.
Where I'm confused is that I bought the iPhone 15 Pro because they claimed I could record spatial video on it....but now if you go to the apple store app, spatial video is only available on the iPhone 16 Pro...what happened to the original promise in the iPhone 15 pro? As someone with Apple Intelligence on my brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max 1tb, I can say that it's the exact opposite of a problem. If they were to release now people would be pissed about the software. It's coming, it will be available to the general public once its ready.
I dont use an iPhone, but I'm planning on getting a macbook, so I was planning on getting the iPhone 16 pro at some point. But I think because of the delays of software going into next year, I will wait for the 17 series, hopefully they will iron out the software by then
Hmmm i mean wait if youd like but i dont see anything wrong getting the 16 pro. I upgraded every two years and im pleased With usb c, larger battery, also a better 5g modem.
I skipped buying an iPhone for 5 years, I still have a 2018 XS, this iPhone is a great update to me! My reason for buying is because my current phone is worn out, probably a new battery could revive it, but I'm looking forward to a camera update.
"It's going to end up feeling like an iPhone 17 feature that Apple sold us a year early" You nailed it with this statement. I'll bet money that Apple Intelligence was supposed to be an iOS 19 / iPhone 17 feature but because of strong sentiment that Apple's behind on AI, they pushed the timeline of Apple Intelligence up by a year, hence the year-long rollout.
I have a Galaxy Flip 5 and the battery life sucks. I'll be getting the 16 pro max because i havent had an iPhone since the 12 and its a big upgrade on the flip. If I had a 15 though I wouldn't bother upgrading this year.
All the AI summarizations for notifications, emails and texts already show up on Apple Watch. But for new Siri, I’m not sure if even S9 or S10 are powerful enough.
I doubt they did, but there is a fix to that problem: If they found a way to insulate the battery, they could use the frame as an intentional heat sink like they did with MacBooks when they first switched to aluminum unibodies. The only problem is it would get super uncomfortable to hold.
I have the iPhone 14 and normally replace my iPhone every 2 years but Im skipping doing it this year as I was underwhelmed, and frankly disappointed; I felt I was watching the rollout of an iPhone that they should have delayed until all the software was ready. Let's see what happens next year! ☹
I think you made the right decision as upgrading from a 14 to the 16 wouldn’t be a major change… I think a good rule of thumb would be to exchange your phone every 3-4 years instead of 2… I used to switch out to a new phone every two years, but I have found that waiting a couple years more makes for a much more efficient upgrade! With that being said.. I am switching to the 16 pro max from the 13 pro max, because I think it’s time for a change 😁
I'm personally not upgrading this year from my 15PM, but I really don't think the whole apple intelligence is the main feature of the 16 line, especially considering the 15 pros get all the AI features as well. Reduces the exclusivity
You're right in being critical and sceptical about this. Not to forget Apple Intelligence is only available in the uS. Other languages? Nope ..... And seeing some of the blunders by AI, I don't have any confidence it how reliable it is.

This is not a decent upgrade comparing the previous gen launches, because there's no significant upgrade in hardware level. Just polished. Maybe worthy for people using older iPhones since they didn't increase the price. The technology reached the saturation point for now.
Sorry, but this is not a research, it's just apple's marketing blurb. 48 MP Fusion Camera - it is actually not a new sensor, yes they call it gen.2, but this sensor is the same hardware-wise. All those 48 MP sensors are highly misleading - even in RAW (btw Apple RAW is still processed albeit not heavily) you're getting 48 MP large files with 4-12 MP equivalent in detail, depending on zoom setting you're using. Funny thing is the old 3x tele is much better in quality than 5x tele at 3x zoom etc. leading to unnecessarily large files without much detail compared to any 12 MP mirrorless camera. Those "studio mics" - I happen to work in audio field professionally - yes, they will be better, but calling them Studio Mics is simply laughable. And I could go on. Now you know how the proper research is done. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone, love its camera system, computational photography in current phones is truly amazing, but it is a healthy approach to stay realistic and not just copy/paste marketing blurbs.
Hi Sam, David from Australia, I have just pre-ordered the iPhone 16 plus and as you say it is a little disappointing that their will be features that won't be coming on launch day, but as my dearly departed Mother used to say "that a job is no done, unless it is done properly" and for what Apple showed us at WWDC there is certainly a lot that will be coming over the next software updates, and so it understandable they are taking their time, better to be safe than sorry, and we really shouldn't be all that surprised this is HUGE for apple, this is properly the biggest project that Apple has ever done along with the Vision Pro, and also gets us excited about what the next software update will bring to the mix . Anyway they are my thoughts. just thought the only problem as I was reading other comments is that as a few have pointed out - a 60hz refresh rate in 2024, while most won't notice, some will and now that all models come with a variant of the A18 Chip, its seems to me a little bit of a cop out, be interesting to hear what their explanation would be if they were ever asked. If it was to differeate from the pro I would have thought the Camera System would be the one feature, not the screen rate.
I feel like the video is a bit too dramatic this time. I think it's important to remember that just because Apple's AI won't be available on the phone from the start doesn't mean it won't be there eventually. They were quite clear about the rollout timeline, and it's understandable that approval times vary by country. Some features may not be available in certain regions due to restrictions and requirements, like the required shutter sound in Japan and application restrictions in China in the past. The event was meant to showcase the hardware and the software capabilities, not necessarily the features straight out of the box. In my opinion, if someone buys a product without taking the time to learn the basics about it, that's more of a consumer issue than an Apple issue. Some may think it shouldn't have been advertised at all, but hey, October is just around the corner. If you're unsure about the release, maybe waiting a few weeks and seeing how things unfold could be a good idea. Also, considering that the iPhone 16 has minimal hardware upgrades, it might not be a bad idea to wait for the iPhone 17, which could have even better hardware updates. I guess the only people who might be upset are those who use iPhones as status symbols and upgrade every year regardless of the features.
but didn't they say that about every update after the 12 ? like 13 had minimal change from 12 and 14 had minimal change from 13 and 15 had minimal change from 14 and 16 had minimal change from 15 and every time they say the next one is gonna have a bigger update
Apple doesn't make promises in advance, but sometimes Apple TH-camrs and leakers do. They come up with exciting and groundbreaking theories that can be worded as if they are certain its coming, and the community gets really hyped about them. Then are met with disappointment and anger towards Apple when the actual updates often turn out to be more minor than the leakers told them. Nevertheless, a major Siri overhaul is still a significant improvement from its current state and I’m glad they are adding more tactile hardware. I feel like this years updates were medical and accessibility focused so the general population might not be as excited about them. This is all my opinion ofc!
@@NomadicSimsI really love your perspective! And I agree with you wholeheartedly! For myself, I simply just want an upgrade and have no problem waiting for Apple Intelligence! @@MoviesWithMia I totally get that! I'm rocking a 13 Pro Max still and will probably keep it unless my phone service provider offers an upgrade haha I just don't need the minute changes each year and it makes the upgrade a few years later feel even more special!
Im not saying the phone shouldn't have 120hz display, all im saying is its really doesn't make a big difference and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. People acting like this is a huge deal probably would even notice if there phone was operating at 60hz. The lack of other updates as well as delaying AI is what people should really be upset about. Lots of products are now shipping without features that come out later, even cars. We gotta stop being ok with this.
Sam, Michael Fisher, Mr. Mobile did an interview with Apple in his video. Just before the 11min mark, he asks about why they launched an iPhone without all the features. It’s a good q&a session in his vid.
The problem is still 60hz in 2024.
The rise of Artificial intelligence…. Before the $800 iPhone models get above 60Hz displays 😂
Or the other problem is a lack of a folding screen.
I swear to god That he was gonna say this as the main problem on video, lol. It's ridiculous screens with just 60Hz refresh rate at this point
Apple is saving so many loyal customers a boat load of money this year by not putting out a compelling enough product to upgrade to. Thank you, Apple!
You think so? I think the fools will still run out and buy this overpriced, low tech junk

But the battery overheating on my 15 Pro Max is annoying, I don't want to get the 16 Pro Max unless people don't mention any overheating at all.

1099€ for a 16 plus with 60hz screen and 128gb storage in 2024 is RIDICULOUS
Yeah that is pretty ridiculous! I can’t believe they haven’t tricked ProMotion to the 16 that’s the real problem with the 16 models!

Actually, it is easier to slide to zoom using the action button (for one-handed operation), than pinch to zoom, which requires both hands.
100% gimmick because almost all of social media are portrait not landscape , also they still use 60hz display

The thing about AI is they can't really guarantee it will work as good as what they're showing. I've been messing with language models and a lot of them are just really bad. No one is going to use Apple Intelligence's language and image features if the quality isn't good.
Yeah, I’m 100% getting the 17 I was planning on it already but now this just kind of solidifies it anybody who buys the 16 is getting scammed

That's far too much money being left on the table. It would be ideal, but that is not how the world works. It would be far more exciting if it was.

That is a lawsuit waiting
Tesla is arguably the founder of this methodology and judging by their stock price this methodology will only expand to more companies.
So many companies doing this now, cause we let them get away with it
Nobody would be successful in a lawsuit against this topic. The timeline for theses releases are available in the fine print on their website. Also, none of these AI services are essential for the phone’s usage so no judge would see a compelling reason to accept a complaint.
Caveat Emptor says hi
So long as apple delivers on their “Apple Intelligence” they can’t be sued. They have two performance obligations here, the hardware and the software, given their marketing of AI features being key to the phone. So long as they don’t overstate their income and allocate revenue to the release of key software that is promised, they are not breaking law. If they led everyone to believe these features are available upon release, then people could sue.
They failed at this event in that they had nothing new to sell. If they did you can damn well believe they would have sold it.
I have an iPhone 11 and I don’t feel very compelled to upgrade.
Time to give Saul Goodman a call folks.
No one says you have to order the phone once it’s available online. You can wait till all the features are available then you order it.

Thanks for the update Sam. I will wait before I buy an iPhone 16, if I buy one at all. My 11 Pro Max is going strong so I might wait for the 17 Pro Max.
I have the base 11 too and it's working great but I want to upgrade to the 16 so badly. 😭
I don’t understand how people need to get a new iPhone every year. That’s why apple don’t bring big improvements. Becouse its fanboys buy their products anyway, improved or not
I read some comments like “I keep my 15 Pro, it’s still running ok”. WOW bro, that’s crazy. No way a 1000$ phone from last year is still performing good..
@@tommasov10 I think they should be happy that apple isn't improving that much which means you phone can last longer.
All of these sponsor ads are so annoying: what does it mean to sponsor a video anyway? Are they just sending him a check for $25,000 to show off their product to us?😊
That's how we ALWAYS have it in Sweden! It is almost never that the new cool thing comes in Swedish directly. 🤷🏻♂️
Apple is obviously not being up front which is not good at all.
Apple is overpriced junk, you should ask Foxconn how to do it
I mean, think of it this way, tasks like real-time voice recognition or custom image generation involve much more data and complexity than simple Siri requests, leading to higher load per user.
Apple intelligence is available right now, in the developer release of iOS 18.1.
I can't wait to see your review of the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup
The video ends about here 6:15 the rest is an add and repetitive mumbling of the first minutes. You're welcome 🙌
17 Pro is the one Im getting. I put off several years when I thought I was gonna buy 14. But I feel 17 is gonna be very different.
Never been so happy that the UK left the EU 😂
So you think that AI will come to UK, forget it for the time being.
lol bruh its still December for the UK
@@-Harry-It’s coming in December. 😆
😂😂😂😂
The iPhone 16 Pro is epic for the sole fact that it’s built for game changing updates that will complete the masterpiece.
Thanks for all of your help! 📱
Pre Ordered the 16 ProMax hopefully the updates will come soon. No rush on updates please because I don’t want a brick in my pocket.
Apple intelligence won't be available this year in the EU due to policy. Maybe next year 😂
While Samsung does have it in Europe 😂 so I have Samsung s24 ultra
@@-_YouMayFind_- samsung is way ahead of apple
Iphone 15 pro will also have the Apple Intelligence. So now whats the difference between 15 pro and 16 pro if not just the button
Just be patient 😌 🙏
"It's going to end up feeling like an iPhone 17 feature that Apple sold us a year early"
You nailed it with this statement. I'll bet money that Apple Intelligence was supposed to be an iOS 19 / iPhone 17 feature but because of strong sentiment that Apple's behind on AI, they pushed the timeline of Apple Intelligence up by a year, hence the year-long rollout.
If you need a good camera, iphone 16 pro max is the way to go
I have a Galaxy Flip 5 and the battery life sucks. I'll be getting the 16 pro max because i havent had an iPhone since the 12 and its a big upgrade on the flip. If I had a 15 though I wouldn't bother upgrading this year.
Good take and you love 3-D printing. We got it. 😂
I’ve already pre ordered 😅
You will love it, but not for AI. Re-watch the presentation, they talked about it.
Me too bro which one you get I got the iPhone 16 pro max desert color
@@smartyoff2010 same but natural titanium
Should of got iphone 15 pro because it literally has the same things only main difference on 16 is there stupid new camera button 😂
@@patience2471u mad?
my problem is even after adding the few other languages they added japanese but not arabic?? how ridiculous is that…
I was expecting Apple to tell a better plan for the future of Apple Intelligence for Apple Watch
It’s simply not possible due to hardware limitations. . It would need a very large processor that won’t fit inside the Apple Watch.
@@illmaticfury It could process on the phone and have the features on the watch. No?
All the AI summarizations for notifications, emails and texts already show up on Apple Watch. But for new Siri, I’m not sure if even S9 or S10 are powerful enough.
Titanium still isn’t a good move because it will still over heat just like the 15 & the battery will deteriorate fast !!
I doubt they did, but there is a fix to that problem: If they found a way to insulate the battery, they could use the frame as an intentional heat sink like they did with MacBooks when they first switched to aluminum unibodies.
The only problem is it would get super uncomfortable to hold.
Just preordered the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Same! Keeping the 13 for a dedicated camera for the studio.
Same, upgrading from a 14 pro. Its promised 4 hours more of battery and the new color was eye-catching for me
Same, just now.
SAME! In White Titanium! What colors did you all choose?
@@MoviesWithMia Natural Titanium. I wish they had more vibrant colors, though.
I was actually going to buy apple this year, but I was so confused by their reveal. It's like they gave up even trying any more
I'm personally not upgrading this year from my 15PM, but I really don't think the whole apple intelligence is the main feature of the 16 line, especially considering the 15 pros get all the AI features as well. Reduces the exclusivity
I can't believe we will be getting GTA 6 before iphone 16 getting a higher refresh rate screen.
You're right in being critical and sceptical about this. Not to forget Apple Intelligence is only available in the uS. Other languages? Nope ..... And seeing some of the blunders by AI, I don't have any confidence it how reliable it is.
it’s a decent upgrade out the box your getting:
-25W MagSafe Fast Charging
-Camera Control
-Studio Mics
-Audio Mix
-Wi-Fi 7
-Thinnest bezels on any Apple device
-Larger 6.9 inch display
-1 nit brightness mode
-48MP Ultra Wide Camera (up from 12)
-48 MP Fusion Camera (new sensor)
-Zero shutter lag ProRAW
-Anti-reflective camera lens coating
-4K 120FPS
-Dolby Vision Cinematic Mode
-Dolby Vision QuickTake 4K 60
-Updated Photographic Styles
-Updated Ceramic Shield
-Significantly upgraded battery
-A18 Pro Chip
-Graphene cooling (sustained performance)
Maybe spend more time researching then looking for cheap sponsors Sam
What r u reviewing? The phone or the printer?
Tbh the iPhone specific features are the camera ones not the Apple Intelligence ones since that will be on any device with Apple Intelligence
Hi Sam, David from Australia, I have just pre-ordered the iPhone 16 plus and as you say it is a little disappointing that their will be features that won't be coming on launch day,
but as my dearly departed Mother used to say "that a job is no done, unless it is done properly" and for what Apple showed us at WWDC there is certainly a lot that will be coming over the next software updates, and so it understandable they are taking their time, better to be safe than sorry, and we really shouldn't be all that surprised this is HUGE for apple, this is properly the biggest project that Apple has ever done along with the Vision Pro, and also gets us excited about what the next software update will bring to the mix .
Anyway they are my thoughts. just thought the only problem as I was reading other comments is that as a few have pointed out - a 60hz refresh rate in 2024, while most won't notice, some will
and now that all models come with a variant of the A18 Chip, its seems to me a little bit of a cop out, be interesting to hear what their explanation would be if they were ever asked.
Not just a bit, but way over the top like a drunk drugged up party girl totally losing it over dropping a pretzel crumb on the floor.
but didn't they say that about every update after the 12 ?
like 13 had minimal change from 12
and 14 had minimal change from 13
and 15 had minimal change from 14
and 16 had minimal change from 15
and every time they say the next one is gonna have a bigger update
I am also of the group that keeps my phone for at least 2-3 generations of Apple phones… so it is a bit irritating when people say to not buy the current iPhone and wait for the next.. for some that is definitely an option, but for people like me… as long as the phone works, I am gonna buy it 😂 but thank you for sharing this!
The extra kicker? Here in the EU, we won’t get Apple Intelligence *at all*. And we pay import and VAT. 16 Pro Max 512gb is 1750 euro here 😅
At least i know i won't buy it if we're not getting Apple Intelligence at all 🙂
let's make it even worse for the US mind to comprehend by converting it to USD which $1,939 😅 and once again - no Apple Intelligence
Yes we will get it, the thing is we dont know when but we will get it. Stop spreading false info
This is what happens when your part of a dictatorship bloc
Ai is a gimmick anyways
Sam, Michael Fisher, Mr. Mobile did an interview with Apple in his video. Just before the 11min mark, he asks about why they launched an iPhone without all the features. It’s a good q&a session in his vid.
