New engine looks great! The old Polaris Octane design was blocky and looked to industrial. And unlike HD’s offering, you can actually be proud to show the clutch side of your engine!
Excellent and concise video. The one mistake I think Indian made was the tiny increase re fuel tank. .5 gallon bigger would have been fantastic. They really need to get onto this pronto.
i have a 2015 indian scout runs good so the new 1250 looks nice but is it worth going to that and how much faster or power difference is it , just asking
I’m thinking hard on the 101 scout. I think it would make a great stablemate for my Roadmaster. Also I think they should have used the classic scout fenders on the super scout. I really like the whole lineup
Same deal with the sport scout... Anyone who knows the rogue knows the best part about it is the mini apes and this riding position... Well guess what, new sport scout has a much lower handlebar even on a small riser... But you can purchase the bigger riser seperately..... Groan 😮💨
@@petrol11 I am already missing the Rogue standard bars too.... I put 12" bars on my Scout and love the taller bars, even though I don't consider myself an ape hanger guy
Well… now that my Scout Bobber ABS Icon is 2 years old, is it time to cough up some cash and aim for the 101 or should I wait until all of the bugs are worked out?
I think wait is the smart move. I do not think any current scout owners should really bother with the upgrade as it will likely get some improvements and fixes after the first year or 2. I can already see stuff I'm not a super fan of that i suspect they may switch up sooner rather than later (due to others like me voicing similar criticisms)
I like all the changes but really wish they increased fuel tank capacity even if only by 1/2 gallon, but preferably by a full gallon. As it stands now, when I hit 100 miles on the trip I got to start thinking about finding a gas station. At 125 miles really need to find one asap. 150 miles you're dead in the water. With a fuel tank capacity increase it would be nice if those numbers were more like 150 miles think about gas, 175 miles get gas, 200 miles you're dead in water.
I really like the 2 into 1 exhaust. Looks awesome. I don't like they changed the Rogue to the Sport Scout. I have a Rogue and hate they are no longer using that name. I love the larger front tire, mini apes and mini fairing, just wish they kept the name. Cracks me up some call it a beginner bike though, with 100 hp this is a serious bike.
the new bobber scout or that 101... I think it is great that you can get a choice of forward or mid controls. I like that the New Bobber has LESS ELECTRONICS.
I'm liking what Indian has done with this. Not sure why no inverted front shocks on all models, they were standard on so many Victory models including my Cross Country. Would have liked a 4 gallon tank which was the biggest gripe of the 1st generation. I like the full fender look, however not a fan of the spoke wheels. A big plus with multiple options to make an ergo fit to one's liking and comfort. 2 into one exhaust is a big plus. I'm sure the power is very good. There could be one in my future as I approach 70 and may want to move to a lighter bike. We will see what the influencers have to say when Indian puts them on this bike.
I think it was 1 step forward and 1 step back... The tech is great, the looks have suffered. The lack of mini apes and need to buy risers to make it comfortable, tall riser to match Rogue riding position is SO ugly, the ugly bolts on awkward rear fender, the engine looks worse and more generic, the frame is more obvious and less attractive imo, the exhaust i prefer the old setup with 2 cans, the tank looks too chiefy to me and I'm not a fan of that either. Other hand slip clutch cool, ride mods great, bigger engine sweet, lights yes.
I can't wait to see them in person. Pictures never reveal the whole picture. So many bikes I thought I would love or hate based on pictures, and thought differently in person.
I guess I'm old school....if it works, don't mess with it, all the new gadgets/tech, just more to break in my opinion and more to learn to use/distract. They changed/standardized to save money and make it cheaper let's face it.
1) it’s basically a baby Chief (not a good thing) 2) Harley Davidson Nightster (99% the same) even the same displacement 3)Indian just made their most popular bike into one of the least popular bikes (Chief)
Yeah but the nightster is ugly as sin the left side and radiator of that engine is atrocious. These bikes will be a very attractive alternative for a lot of buyers.
How is it on a bad way? engine is improved and tubular frame makes it easier to work on and more customizable. If anything I see it in a good way, although I do prefer the looks of the original.
Again….the Scout is the bread and butter for Indian…why? Freaking sexy…popular…etc. Do you know what bike is the least popular? The Chief. Why make the Scout soo damn similar to the Chief? Look around bro….the reactions are very concrete…..people are not 100% sold.
They are going to do really well with these bikes. Keeping the old scout in the lineup at 10k is smart too, HD has nothing at that price point.

Was thinking I’d get a new BMW R12 nineT, that 101 could change that thinking🤔🤷🏻♂️

Old engine looked better in my opinion. Good recap though!
Thanks for your input!
it makes the going scout models to classic bike, kinda legend
@@RidgeRoamer That's what I think as well
I agree, my 23 Bobber 60 looks better!

It does
Excellent video, short and succinct but informing what matters without wasting time. Very good work, congratulations 🤙🏻
very well done exposure, complete, concise and very clear - 💯👍

Call me a skeptic but i think that was the idea.... The fenders can be purchased seperately etc...

And ofc all the Indian parts are massively overpriced and in some cases prices are increasing

Just get a Honda Shadow, and be done with it!
Two years!? Wait....

That’s like complaining that your dirt bike sux on the interstate.
It’s a midsize bike.
It has midsize range.
Big surprise
I love the new Scout 101 but haven't seen one yet, here in Nebraska. Hopefully they'll be here before the season is over.
I guess they also moved the catalytic converter to the right under the exhaust guard. Very cool.

I googled the price on the new 2025 scout 16,995 that's too much money for that bike
Starts at $12,999 depending on model and trim level.

I heard they'll be in dealerships in May!!!
I'm excited about this lineup.
Great detail...very informative.
Thanks

i am sold on the keyless ignition
They look good.
Too short fenders, not all of us live in California where it doesn't rain 🌧️. Standard bike should have cast wheels.
I agree. Super Scout should have been long fenders and cast wheels for better road trip bike.

Standardization to save money is a bad thing? To keep pricing down as much as possible so your customers can afford to continue buying your product?
1) it’s basically a baby Chief (not a good thing)

Agreed…..that HD bike is hideous! But why make an indian so similar to the HD bike?

I don’t think so but every one has their opinion. I think they listened to their customers and that doesn’t happen very much anymore.
