This is a full circle moment. We have all trashed the factory one years ago and now we replace it with the one we got rid of. Keep up with the sn95 / New Edge parts!
This is cool. Now you guys need to make an ergonomic longer reach style shift handle. I still see people make posts on pages, groups, forums ect almost daily, about wanting a longer shift handle for 79-04 Mustangs. Tall and short people alike would benefit. Something similar to the "Comfort Pro" handle that Steeda used to make would be awesome. _Food for thought_ :P
Just installed this shifter handle in my car and it made a big difference in the way it shifts. I have a steeda tri ax shifter and it requires less effort to change gears now. I highly recommend this product.
The comment and expression you made just after 7:39 made me literally laugh out loud. I sittin' here trying to daily this summer in my '86 T-top GT 5 speed. Which includes a four and half to five hour commute EACH WAY on the weekends in a car that has had a 13 year hibernation in the garage, an interior that consist of only: A Dash, door Panels, S&W roll cage, and a set of Summit buckets with five points, all circa mid to late 2000s... Yes, mistakes were made. Only Lord knows what I wouldn't do for a retractable seatbelt and a cup holder right about now.
Sweet! 💪 Maybe in the future we can get a Pro 5.0 shifter rebuild kit from LMR? I have one that was missing some internal pieces well after the company that made them went out of business.
@@latemodelrestoration that's interesting, cause i tried to contact them at least 7-8 years ago for parts and they were going through some business issues concerning partnership and dissolving the business. I gave up back then and just kept my broken shifter on the shelf. I'll look into it. Thanks Landan
Please find someone that can make sn95 knuckles that fit earlier fox bodies. Lots of people would like the bearing setup for those and has the correct geometry
I noticed your mach 1 test car had a steeda tri ax shifter. I have one in my 98 cobra and while it's a good shifter, it's kinda notchy feeling. Does this factory shifter handle make it a little easier to shift?
The rubber isolator in the factory-style handle helps reduce some the "notchiness". While that's one of the benefits of a short throw shifter, to some, it's a little too much. Hope this helps. -Landan

Wish you would of came out with this a year ago . I ended up buying one used on eBay . Oh well next time. Hate aftermarket shifters
Wouldn't switch back from my Hurst.
You guys should do a video to see if its possible to install s550 seats heated and cooled in older gen mustangs

Pro 5.0 is still around. If you need parts, I would contact them directly and see if they have what you need. -Landan

Are these shift knobs coated with Spanish Fly?
I wish someone would come up with a nice AOD shifter that looks good but is bent slightly towards the driver.
Been looking for what short throw to put in my '93 any recommendations??????

@latemodelrestoration That actually does help. Mine's not terrible but I'd like it to be a little smoother. Thanks Landan.
