Would this be good for Trigger Thumb?

Hi @Nessa Rossini it depends if it is a true trigger thumb with locking where you need to physically assist the extension of your thumb or it is more of a Dequirveins see this video for a test to assess it th-cam.com/video/G07YGSz36Vg/w-d-xo.html
This taping technique will restrict the amount of thumb flexion you achieve and therefor would likely prevent the nodule at fault being caught however normally you will need an extended period of bracing to allow this nodule to settle (your skin is unlikely to manage the extended period you would need to wear it for to achieve the desired result - hence the brace option).
Additionally if it is a true trigger thumb you should see your Doctor to investigate any underlying inflammatory conditions as they usually are associated with trigger thumb and fingers.

@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy I work w/ my doc and when it gets to the locking stage he gives me a shot in the thumb joint and I'm good for at least 6 months. It's now at the painful stage (no clicking yet).
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis (from the RA) so at times my joints wreak havoc with my movements.
I do use Kinesio Tape on my knees and shoulders for support but never this kind of tape you show.
Watched the video link and it's not Dequirveins, took the test.
Doc did say Trigger Thumb from RA.
I'm just wondering if tape could help, or Kenesio Tape to help with slowing down the triggering between shots. I have a thumb brace but I can't work around the house comfortably, hindering cooking, dish washing, etc so I hate/don't wear it while the tape seems manageable for my day.
I have an appointment in 2 weeks with my doc but the pain is now.
      Thank you.

@@NessaRossini... In that case I think you may find this helpful to reduce the stress on the thumb and unload it somewhat. It's a nice alternative that allows you to still do the needed jobs around the home. You could probably get away with just the thumb component.

@@BodyFitPhysiotherapy Yes! When I saw you wrapping around the thumb I thought it may help me. I'll pick up some of the tape you're using and give it a try. Thank you so much for your advice and speedy replies; I really appreciate your time and expertise. 👍🏼
