James, great news abbey tutt works in the A+E Hospital I work at. I'm a security officer there and recognised her. I said hello and completely embarrassed her. Yay. I've met a TH-cam legend 😊
Hello! And that completes the circle! She was telling me about a security guard she met at work the other day! Thank you for saying hi 😊 she appreciated it immensely
@DrJamesGill Im super glad she did. A full year since someone last recognised her. She doing incredibly well and it's such a wonderful sight to see her, training during your videos to now being fully qualified. It's been a pleasure to watch you both through the years.
I failed the "flex your thumb" test seen at 4:30. Nine days later I had surgery to reattach a severed tendon. I now use scissors to open plastic packaging (not a knife). I needed 9 months of hand exercises to regain all my thumb's function (it works perfectly fine today.) There was a certain level of disbelief and fear in mind when I was commanding my thumb to move but nothing was happening. So, please use scissors and be safe.
@@kapibara2175 I bought a replacement kick-stand for my son's bicycle and it came in one of those plastic cards. They are impossible to tear open and as luck had it that day, my son (aged 16) had a pocket knife. He handed the knife to me and I proceeded to try to cut open the packaging. I held the knife in my right hand and the packaging in my left hand. Anyway, I stabbed myself between my left thumb joint and my hand, in the only spot I should not have stabbed myself. There was no blood, no big cut, just a little tiny cut that healed very quickly, but by then the damage was done - I had cut my nerve and tendon.
When the preview clip involves Putting A Bit Of Paper you know you're in for a good one. An actual clinical question - is the purpose of the repetition of the first set of hand and finger movements so that it can be observed both supported (either by the pillow or by you) and then under the patient's own support?

i have a question, and i'm not sure how to phrase it... Could enlarged lymph nodes (or something related with bone marrow) cause nerve damage (in the ulnar nerve - idk, the one of the pinky and ring finger)? Context: - i do have enlarged lymph nodes . on my neck (left side full of them) . on my armpits (both) . in my groin (left side also filled with them) . in my lungs (as it says in my ct scan, and also confirmed by shortness of breath) - other things, idk . anemia (not too bad) . enlarged spleen (a little bit) . unintented weight loss (almost 10% of my body weight in less than a year) . night sweats . random teeth infection out of the blue . fatigue (i need to take a nap after playing with the cat for 5/10 minutes) (but blood tests were "clean"... no problems with thyroid, linfocits, imunofixation. I feel like that may be missleading tho) Sorry for spamming symptoms in the comment, it was for context, idk... I'm asking cause, for a couple of months now, i've been waking up with numbness in the pinky and ring fingers of my left hand... regardless of how i sleep (i usually sleep belly up, like a mumy from egypy... i don't know how to write mumy). I am from Greece and the question I want to ask is my sister is an MS patient and she is being treated in Greece, but there is no question of any kind of recovery, I wonder if we can find a solution abroad?
Im having problems with my middlefingers for a Bit over a year now, i can't bend them fully into my palm. When i open my hands they stay stuck in a 90 degree angle. Once i woke up and my left middlefinger was completely stuck to my palm so I had to force back into its normal position while my hand was under warm water. What could be the problem? So far the doctors I went to, here in Germany, told me to submerge my hands under warm water and stretch them but that just helps momentarily. I haven't visited a chiropractor setzt because getting an appointment is quite difficult. Could you maybe give any kind of advice to what it could be and whats best to do in my Situation? Thank you in advance for any sort of response.
I’m not able to legally give specific advice. I can only suggest seeing your doctor. Personally I do not recommend chiropractors, but readily refer to physiotherapists
