Here's a guy not working for Boss who does more to clear up all the confusion surrounding the actual day to day use of this pedal! Here for example is how to turn the effects down. I am just learning how to use this pedal this morning at home. I hit the effects to play the drum beats and scared the hell out of the pets. The drums came in at a deafening level and I had no idea how to turn it down. So I went to the Boss tutorial video and after watching it, still had no idea, as many commenters point out on that video. Thanks Alex! Why does Boss have to make everything so damn complicated and then leave users with no idea how to actually operate the controls? They should have hired this guy from the start!

I was so impressed with alexes tutorial, firstly he was not confusing he spoke simply and directly and gave well structured information that took me through how to use the boss five as I have never looped before. Besides the music this guy makes is captivating and inviting so my attention was on from the start. I have seen other videos with frustrating outcome. So Thnkyou Alex for helping me out.
I'm sure you already know this and you don't need me saying it, but damn you're a real good player. I love how smooth and accurate you are with those really fast licks you do - brilliant. Great demo too.
Without videos like this it would be a lot more frustrating to get new gear as some aren't good at staying with something when it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Many thanks this was exactly what I was looking for without any extra stuff that was useless and not on topic. Exceptional sound and video quality . I'd give this a 10 outta 10 for overall score . You have a gift don't stop doing these.

Great video. I traded my RC-3 for the RC-5 last week and I must say it’s got superb sound and the drum tracks make all the difference, as the RC-3 had only 10! It’s not as easy to use though as there’s a lot going on in it. I make my own backing tracks as it’s a great exercise in playing in overdubbing. Great playing by the way, I’d class you as an “American style” player, Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Eric Johnson, etc. Lots of jazz and fusion in your style.

One of the revelations I've had is that on most videos demo-ing this looper (as well as others), the drum tracks sound kind of bad not because the samples are bad, but because pretty much any drum track will not sound great when played through a guitar amp. Here I take it you have the Looper placed behind the Amp Sim and the drums all sound pretty good! I'll probably be doing the same setup, only with an HX Stomp.
I was thinking about how cool it would be if you`ll do some looping lessons, and it just happened. I remember your video with loop ideas few years ago, the part with a violin was absolutley amazing, rewhatching it till now. I only have old Boss ME-25 processor with a 40 sec loop, no saving functions, only overdubbing, but this video inspired me to try sqeez max from my old pedal, thank you, Alex. Also still remembering your concert in Krasnoyarsk a year ago, glad i could hear it before all this crazy times happened.

Thanks for this.. I owned a Boss Looper about 15 years ago. It had limitations that couldn't be addressed, and I was hoping this new model might help with them. Your video shows elements of this pedal are now adjustable, visually seeing you modify settings helps. The online manual says what it does, but seeing it work helps confirm it does what I need it to. Great video, and seems like a good updated Looper. Thanks again
