    Thank you for watching this video. I hope that you keep up with the regular videos I post on the channel, subscribe, and share your learnings with those that need to hear it. Your comments are important to me, so please take a second and say ‘Hey’ ;).
    Ed is an elite cyclist, 2019 British Hill Climb Champion and former Under 23 British RR Champion. He has raced as a Continental level Professional Rider in Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, Azerbaijan to name a few. He is also a public speaker, coach, and remains grounded with regular returns to his roots at Bynea Cycling Club. At the start of 2021, the Discord community began, and plonked many of Ed's viewers in to a 350+ strong group of people that had many things in common. Not least wanting to explore the world and pedal their bikes faster!
    Ed coaches lots of cyclists in the online community too! If you are interested, email laverackcoaching@yahoo.com for information on the 1-2-1 coaching package and training plans, of which there are many!
    Ed now prioritises having fun with my hard earned fitness and knowledge in the sport. Showcasing that maybe there is an alternative to racing for teams when you can race for yourself and your community of followers and brands. This TH-cam channel is a docu-series highlighting what it’s like to be a cyclist in today’s competitive age of sport.

    Congrats on the win, Ed ! Wise words on racing, it helps go deeper in the incofortable zone where you can still dig. Like those useless sprints after a long ride when you feel empty and bonked but there is that "dumb" spark that make you push harder that what you thought was a maximum.

    Great win for you and us! Two videos in a day. Great performance Ed. Was today’s session part of a block (just with it being a day after a hard effort)?

    Funny Ed, I'm the exact same weight as you. I run 65psi in front and 70psi in back (25mm tires) on nearly every ride. Conti 5000s, latex tubes. Bumpy roads here in New Zealand.

    • @edlaverack
      @edlaverack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything to make that ride smoother! Suprised you arent running 30s

    You found that profound statement to end the video. You never know, tomorrow I’m going to turn up the sauce on a 80 ride with over 5000 feet of vert so you know what “you never know”😂❤❤❤

    Congrats! Amazes me how much power you light, skinny can get out of your legs btw. I'm a skinny guy too but a bit heavier and I produce about 100W's less for more weight.

    if you ever manage to return to the north pennines in future, gdf, hartside, chapel fell, crawleyside and killhope cross are the longest efforts. yad moss is also long but barely any gradient.

    unbelievable tekkers. nothing like a bit of competitive adrenaline to get the big numbers out..! still blows my mind what the best are capable of. my legs are on fire after 1-2min at 400w, forget 15+ mins of it XD crazy efficiency & punishment..!

      Completely lost in the zone for sure. Years of training and development and discipline, very fortunate to get to this point.

    Congrats on the win, Ed. Not having much luck with the wind though. :P
    Do you notice each kilo you gain or lose when you're around 60kg, or is it more of a feeling?

    • @edlaverack
      @edlaverack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really, I'd say it's more of a mental edge when you know you are where you want to be more than anything else. It's marginal.

    Your time compares very favourably to the KoM which is about 300m less than the TT and was set in the ToB during a Hartside summit finish in 2015.

      To be fair though, they did do a big race prior to hitting it :)
