When I first started writing poetry and journaling as a girl, one of my earliest poems was about moving to Avalon. 20 years later, I ended up buying a late Victorian home in a town of the same name. It really spoke to me when you discussed non specific manifestation. I lived in a house that I loved for many years and lost it for financial reasons. I moved into a few places after, that never felt like home. I casted with the sole intention of just wanting to find contentment. And it seems what I really wanted was the home I had lost. It wasnt perfect, it didnt even have the updates that the places I moved to had. It was not modern. It had one bathroom, 3 floors and was 104 yrs old. But the universe knew and the people who bought my house sold it to me 10 yrs ago. It had sat empty since I had moved out. They lived out of state and just couldnt deal with the reno so they called me out of the blue to see if I wanted to purchase it. It is for all intents and purposes now, a 4th generation forever family home. Great video. Purple and green are my favorite color combo.

Omgggg the blue and gold 90’s celestial witch vibe! You’re the first person to ever know or describe such a nostalgic thing for me. My mom always had large blue bottles of bubble bath around the tub and they had all the suns and moons on them. She also had a container with soaps that were celestial. I miss the 90’s haha.

Your childhood bedroom dresser is French Provencal, most likely from Sears, in the 60s. My sister and myself, and my cousin all had the same furniture. I kept mine, and painted it along with everything else imaginable. I used wild colors, and created a 10 year old girls dream room. I hid secret messages in the multitude of patterns I painted on everything. There was nothing subtle in this room. It took me 9 months. I revealed it on her 10th birthday, at her party. It served her well. She's now almost 33, and I have since gotten a degree in interior design. I'm glad I didn't have it then or the direction of her room would have been very different. My ,now ex, husband always said it looked like an Easter egg threw up in there. It was great fun for her and her friends, and for myself while creating it.

Congrats on your new home! You really have made it super cozy. One tip I have is I grew up in an old farm house with a tiny hot water heater. My mom had a giant pot she would boil water in. She'd get the water boiling and then fill the tub as much as we could normally, then add the giant pot of boiling water and then top off the tub with the cool water (after the hot water heater water runs out), so it is a way to take a nice warm bath without waiting between adding water so the first bit doesn't cool down.
Thanks! I did that for the first month before having my partner look in the basement to discover the heater could be turned up so it will definitely still be hot enough after the 40 minutes. Honestly, carrying pots of hot water up a flight of stairs wasn’t ideal lol.
@TheHedgeWitchsHearthHomestead I'm glad the heated water situation got resolved! Water is my main way to destress or decompress, so my heart really went out when you mentioned the water issue. I love the new green upholstery. I have a laundry museum in one of my outbuildings. It was originally a laundry but the boiler also called a 'copper' was removed. I have a modern washer and dryer. I have a galvanized tub, a wringer and various possers and dollies and bowls and washboards. If I ever had to wash in the old style, I can! I do dry my washing on a line in the fresh air and sunlight when the weather permits. Your home is lovely and magical❤❤❤❤😍😍
Wow that’s so cool! Sounds like you have a really interesting home. I would love to dry my laundry on a line, but my yard is very exposed, and I would rather my personal things not be so visible.
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvest Hahahaha!!! I know what you mean. My mum's neighbour, an old gardener, used to occasionally leave her a gift of a freshly pulled cabbage in her large pair of freshly washed knickers. My mum told him off! I thought she was mean but he thought it a huge joke and it made his eyes twinkle with mirth.😃😃
For the hot bath issue I used to do this at my grandma's house since she doesn't have a water heater. You fill the bath with cold water and get a big pot of water on the stove to boil then carefully take it over to the bath and dump the hot water in, it should give you a comfortable water temperature
Thanks for the tip! But I tried this earlier on and decided carrying a huge pot of boiling water up a flight of stairs was not a great idea, so I’m good with waiting instead lol.
Maybe a trunk of wood a hole drilled in it to out the tree in . I totally love the idea of keeping a tree up for the whole year ad celebrating every season ❤; I hate taking my Christmas tree down thanks so much for this lovely 😊

I’m new here ❤and grew up in a very old fashioned way which I loved. We had an old ringer washer for our clothes and heated all our water for that and bathing on the stove or outside on a fire grate( not suggesting you need to do that 😊)All that to say, if you have a nice tall pot you can heat up some water to help the bath get nice and warm.
Some patinas I like (like when silver turns black) but for some reason I don’t like when brass turns green. Probably the lumpy texture that bugs me lol
OMG, I loved this video that came up in my feed! I watched the complete video over two days. I love your sense of styling your home, and listening to your commentary and views on "intentional maximalism" and other topics, and the details of your projects! I got some new good ideas to use in my home. I'm amazed at your patience in dyeing the fabric on the couch and chair, and reupholstering the chair and painting the frame!! It turned out fantastic!! I also like your 4-poster bed ideas! Can I ask you, what type of paint did you use on your bedroom dressers that you beautifully transformed?
We love a powerful witch... You've done well the place looks magical.... Love the green on the old chair Can't wait to see what you do next !!!! Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo P's the handyman's cute !
This is my first video of yours I've come across and I'm instantly hooked😅 You're voice is so relaxing and calming and your content is both inspiring and entertaining. Thank you for your uplifting witchy content!
Whoa! Those are some major projects! But first I want to say how happy I am the Mowgli has a yard to roam in like he did when he was younger. 💜 Then, that green you were able to dye on the pink chair is GORGEOUS! You are so brave to tackle reupholstery and just go for it, even cutting the fabric off the frame - wow! Lots and lots to see and love throughout your home. Very jealous of those spice bottles. And finally, I thought it was fun at the very end as you were talking about your former wardrobe with all its girly lilacs, and then you appear in one of those frocks and it just looks so perfect on you!
Idea/tip for your bath situation. Boil a big pot of water with herbs you would like to use whether for invigorating or protecting, maybe even healing whatever you prefer and use that big pot to not only get that warm temp. For your bath but to also add in a bit of magic to your bath time ❤
This is absolutely amazing, a few months ago I deeply got into cottagecore design I have a apartment in the suburbs with a a back patio that I grow fruits/veggies I also doing a bit of homesteading. I wanted to transform my little apartment into a cozy cottage and so far its coming along, I'm glad your channel was recommended! xoxo
That felt like a real journey! Thank you for starting this channel and sharing so much witchy wisdom and practical tips with us! If I could give your home an interior decoration descriptor, I would call it dark cottagecore -- my absolute favourite style! I am trying to do my own home in that aesthetic and it is taking a while to get comfortable with my maximalist leanings. I own my home but I am still terrified of putting holes in the walls!
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed this! And thank you for offering a description. I’m not always up on the aesthetics terminology, but now that you mention it, I have heard that term floating around and I like it! I guess I don’t say “dark” because a big thing for me is allowing sunlight in lol! And don’t be afraid to get creative in your home! You are so blessed to own your space!
If you want to burn sage but don't want to encroach on a closed practice just burn common garden sage instead of white sage. But i love burning all manner of herbs for smoke cleansing some of my favorites are cedar, juniper, rosemary, lavender, bay leaves, Malissa (aka lemon balm), and mugwort
I have seen a tv program on design here in the UK where the furniture upholstery was painted with some type of paint and it looked great, it may be worth having a look on Google or you tube about what was used. Great interiors by the way. Xx
Hi from Mothertron in Australia, just wanted to remind you, get a pot, put some dirt in it and stick yer christmas tree in that, theres so many free ways to make a stand.
If you're using battery powered tapers anyway, it would be cool to have them on a remote control. They would all spring on at the same time, which does sound like magic.
Such an inspiring video, congratulations on your new home🌿 Love the green witch aesthetic and all the crafty ways you've settled into your new home 🏡 I also felt like living in a cottage has guided me to who I am in my 30s. I've learned so many similar mindful maximalism tips from living in a small space! I love that you mentioned that you can live a bit of cozy clutter but make it functional and charming ✨
So glad to hear you found the new channel inspiring! Yes I agree. Living in a small space really makes you think about what’s important to you and how you store / display it!
We have been trained by society that decor and fashion are expected to be a priority with us. I get the concern about that, but I also believe that both things are an extention of our creativity. You're a creative, it's okay as long as you find a way of managing it. I am beginning a thrift reselling business, it will allow me to "borrow" the thrifted clothing for a wear or two, then put it on my sites. It also gives me permission to thin out my own clothing. This will spill over into my collection of vintage home decor.
My kids say im a kitchen witch, i love my plants, but love doing things in the kitchen too, trying to find and buy things that stand out for this type of theme, and whe we move really hoping to get it set up, and feeling happy, also will be doing a cute cottage veggie garden.
Word to the wise, they get very heavy, and stacking may unbend the hanger or pull down the rod if you have too many. Many clothing stacked will also reach and brush the floor - signed Been There, Done That.
I love your home! And I absolutely love that we get to see how the spell works and how you finish off a working. I have been trying to manifest a better home but I have trouble figuring what it's supposed to look like. I will definitely be using your ideas. I love the curtain and hanging plants. I have always 2nd hand clothing until this year. I am tiny to begin with but thanks to menopause I've shrunk even more. I was pretty worried about buying clothes that would be impratical. I used Pinterest to figure out what I liked and if I would be pratical.
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvest Thank you! As soon as you mentioned it in the video on how you did manifesting a yard for Mowgli. I realized that's what I need to do.

Place the chalk paint in a container and add water. The pigmented color will act as a stain more than a paint. When it drys on fabric it may be a little "crunchy" to the touch. This is my first time watching your video and you just taught me a new skill with the ketchup and the baking soda 😮 That was genius.! 😊 and the color you use for the couch was the perfect green. It looks beautiful. I love it. ❤ I also identify as a green witch, I also like to do a lot of DIY‘s and transforming my house little by little into my magical space, I’ve always considered my home my temple. I really love this video for some reason. It just made me happy. Tnx for showing us ur beautiful home 🥰
Sounds like we have a very similar practice! Thanks so much for watching ✨🌿🌙
I suffer from mental health and depression. Am I have the society identity disorder? Lost my mom a year ago cancer. Before the age of 30 your videos make me feel happy. You are an inspiration, thank you. I.
Have a TH-cam channel. I'm trying to promote it.
Aw I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m glad to hear these videos inspire you ✨🎃🍄🟫
This is so gorgeous! I moved back in with family, but plan to make a witchy vibe when I move out someday. I plan on imagining my witchy little home inside my soul for now. ❤
Aw I love that!
Pinterest can help with your planning!
I have been needing a channel like this since always 😊
Aww I’m so glad to be able to fill that niche haha
Wow the fabric dye turned out beautifully!
Yeah it was really hard work but it was worth it. Now I still gotta do the big one 😅
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvestDIY paint by Debi Beard, you can paint furniture. Keep spraying with water and use large round brushes.
Oh no I've washed clothes this way and it's awful, ringing them out is the worst bit. Give me a washing machine anyway 😂😂😂 Love that you were so positive about it ❤❤❤
You are so creative, talented, patient, & witty! I love how you explore historic ways and have the energy to try new projects! Your precious kitty cat is so supportive of your creative endeavors! Y’all are amazing! Keep on promoting the GREEN lifestyle! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Aw thank you so much for the kind words. Blessed be ✨
I love the new green upholstery.
Glad to hear this idea inspired you!
Wow! I've.never seen anything like this......
✨🌙❤️
You are Truly Magickal, The furniture looks like the past and the FUTURE! You out did yourself, you are such an Artist! I'm so grateful you came across my page💗
So glad you’re enjoying this project!
So ist es! Auch in der Zukunft!
Alles Liebe!
That chair makeover is stunning!!! You've inspired me, thank you!
Yay I’m so glad to hear that!
You’re work is beautiful! I wish I was as dedicated to my space as you are!
You can do it!
I have a dresser, bedside table and a tall boy dresser exactly like yours!! It had been my Mom’s and I think she bought it as n the late ‘70’s. You have inspired me to do a make over. Merry meet sister. I am also a green/kitchen witch. Blessed be
Oh wow that’s awesome!!! Happy decorating!
When I saw you pull out Eragon I got so excited!!! That’s my favorite series
It was my favorite as a teen
The French provincial style was huge in the late 70s and early 80s. I still love it!
Good to know! Love your channel btw ✨🌙
I can’t get over that amazing green color.i also start looking around and dying other stuff when i dye things.
Haha glad it’s not just me
I love the aesthetic and energy of your channel. Your wee cottage reminds me of a store in Salem, Massachusetts that I worked in for 10 years. I look forward to seeing your videos in the future. Bright Blessings to you Sister.💗
That is awesome! Thank you for watching ✨
Your renovations are absolutely remarkable. Your good nature and soul reaches out to me. You are such a good person. But, as a nurse, for future reference, please wear an N 95 mask/respirator whenever you sand stuff. 🙏🏼 For health reasons . Blessed Be ❤️
Aw thank you so much. Bless be to you too ✨
this video was such a treat! Thank you! I am so inspired by your mindful and loving way of making your house a home! WOW to the chair upholstery.
Thank you for watching! Blessed be ✨🌙🌿
I’m new here ❤and grew up in a very old fashioned way which I loved. We had an old ringer washer for our clothes and heated all our water for that and bathing on the stove or outside on a fire grate( not suggesting you need to do that 😊)All that to say, if you have a nice tall pot you can heat up some water to help the bath get nice and warm.
That is awesome! It’s great to have those skills!
I loved the makeover and I'm so happy for you to have manifested that beautiful new home!! 🥰
Thank you so much!!
I loved the old patina on the napkin holder.
Some patinas I like (like when silver turns black) but for some reason I don’t like when brass turns green. Probably the lumpy texture that bugs me lol
Ohhh loving this video, such a cute and cosy little apartment. Can't wait to get to the end of the video and see the whole makeover ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching to the end!
I'm still watching over 50 minutes in! It's like a Magickal Television Show, I Love what you did to your room😍
Haha I try 💁🏽♀️
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvest ❤️
Just your upholstery was amazing I did dinning room chairs but this is a more difficult project thank you for sharing
Thank you! One down, one to go!
Cats love to watch you create and yours loves that chair! Beautiful magical transformation of your new home. Thanks for the magical video.
Yeah cats are great coworkers lol. Thank you! 😊
I'm so glad this video was recommended to me! Your home and spirit are beautiful! ❤

I love your house, witchy and all.
Thank you!
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvest you're welcome
This is my first video of yours I've come across and I'm instantly hooked😅
You're voice is so relaxing and calming and your content is both inspiring and entertaining.
Thank you for your uplifting witchy content!
Welcome!! ✨🌿🌙
So glad to hear you enjoyed this video! Thank you ✨
Beautiful enchanting video...I just loved it..thankyou
So glad to hear you enjoyed it! Blessed be!
Idea/tip for your bath situation.
Boil a big pot of water with herbs you would like to use whether for invigorating or protecting, maybe even healing whatever you prefer and use that big pot to not only get that warm temp. For your bath but to also add in a bit of magic to your bath time ❤
Lovely idea!
this is a beautiful home and a beautiful video! thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you so much!
Wow what a cool way to clean wood! Thank you for sharing.
Glad to hear you found that helpful!
This is absolutely amazing, a few months ago I deeply got into cottagecore design I have a apartment in the suburbs with a a back patio that I grow fruits/veggies I also doing a bit of homesteading. I wanted to transform my little apartment into a cozy cottage and so far its coming along, I'm glad your channel was recommended! xoxo
Oh how lovely! I got started in an apartment with a patio too. It’s amazing how it can transform!
Hello! Just found you today. This video was so beautiful! Thank you for sharing so much of this transformation. Congratulations on your new home!
Thank you, and welcome!
That way you can have your furniture any color you want 😊
Thanks for the tip ✨
If you want to burn sage but don't want to encroach on a closed practice just burn common garden sage instead of white sage. But i love burning all manner of herbs for smoke cleansing some of my favorites are cedar, juniper, rosemary, lavender, bay leaves, Malissa (aka lemon balm), and mugwort
Agreed!
I have seen a tv program on design here in the UK where the furniture upholstery was painted with some type of paint and it looked great, it may be worth having a look on Google or you tube about what was used.
Great interiors by the way. Xx
Thank you!
Most excellent video! Love the chair. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Bless be ✨🌙
Hi from Mothertron in Australia, just wanted to remind you, get a pot, put some dirt in it and stick yer christmas tree in that, theres so many free ways to make a stand.
Thank you! I’m thinking of making something with rocks or concrete eventually for a more permanent solution
As a fellow australian, the best christmas tree is an air conditioner :P
I’m new here. I absolutely love your taste. You’re beautiful too ❤❤❤❤. Great job
Aw welcome and thank you so much ✨
If you're using battery powered tapers anyway, it would be cool to have them on a remote control. They would all spring on at the same time, which does sound like magic.
Haha someday I’ll get around to that
I am jealous in a good way of your fabric dying skills! My fabrics always come out blotchy!
They definitely weren’t “perfect “ but I decided to roll with it. It makes for a sort of “natural greenery” vibe in the room.
I use to have those same dressers and nightstands they were my moms when she was growing up
Someone else said the same thing. I love that these are nostalgic for so many of us
Such an inspiring video, congratulations on your new home🌿 Love the green witch aesthetic and all the crafty ways you've settled into your new home 🏡 I also felt like living in a cottage has guided me to who I am in my 30s.
I love that and have done something similar myself!
You’re lovely!! Glad I happiness your channel!
I’m glad too! Welcome!
Your cat is the sweetest baby! ♡♡
I think so too!
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvest I'm new here and thought you'd mentioned having a podcast (maybe I'm wrong). What's the name of it?
My kids say im a kitchen witch, i love my plants, but love doing things in the kitchen too, trying to find and buy things that stand out for this type of theme, and whe we move really hoping to get it set up, and feeling happy, also will be doing a cute cottage veggie garden.
How exciting!!
OBSESSED!!!! I didn’t expect to watch the whole thing but wow am I inspired!❤
I’m so glad you found this entertaining!
I like the kitchen curtain you made ❤
Thank you! 😊
Stacking hangers using a pop can tab is a great idea! I have a 3' closet in the bedroom and usually layer tops over one another.
It may just change your life lol!
Word to the wise, they get very heavy, and stacking may unbend the hanger or pull down the rod if you have too many. Many clothing stacked will also reach and brush the floor - signed Been There, Done That.
You decked your home out!!!! I love it ❤
Thank you!
You might be a non-specific manifestation type. Try focusing on how you want your home to feel and go from there. You got this ✨
@@HedgeHearthAndHarvest Thank you! As soon as you mentioned it in the video on how you did manifesting a yard for Mowgli. I realized that's what I need to do.
My parents bought me pieces just like yours in 1970. I still have a few pieces that my daughter used and we are now saving them for her future daughters. My mom called them French provencal. I want to paint your folding mirror dark green or gold! Your decor is fun and inspiring! ✨
That’s a few folks now who have mentioned the 70s so that’s probably when they’re from. Good to know!
Just now found you. I love your spirit and ingenuity!
Aw thank you and welcome! ✨✨✨
