The gun is G1 Ironhide's gun. Which is strange because it's more accurate to 86 ironhide the character than the guns packed in with 86 ironhide figure.

Gotta be honest, I think this one looks a hundred times better than the mainline figure. It's not only a matter of detail (Which is SS forte) but the proportions are also a lot more accurate. The other figure is just way too bulky .
I like this figure alot though because of the head being in the front seat section in vehicle mode, meaning it can still transform if you were to switch the "Pablo" head out for the BB Wheeljack head. Though I do feel like he probably should been just a bit bigger.

There was also spinal molding on the mainline release as well. There's alot of hard feelings for this design itself, the figure looks to be a translation of all 3 Wheeljack molds for ROTB, the Weaponizer, the mainline and the new aspects as well. The molding itself is creat for the areas that definitely need it, as usual Hasbro chipped out on the paint aps which is no issue at all as I love painting these myself, I'll be getting the gap filler kit for the mainline figure which also comes with accurate cannons for him then the mainline figure can have the gap fillers. It definitely helps to have an officially licensed TV PABLO cvan, which makes it even more sad that Arcee is now the only unlicensed vehicle in the autobot line though. Maybe a rerelease with molding changed and the official Ducati branding?? I can definitely say in all its flaws, I'm still looking to complete the ROTB line with Wheeljack and even Scorpinok when they both arrive
This honestly looks great, even though there is still a load of hard feelings that Wheeljack went from his og design to this it is still quite cool. We all love Pablo in the new movie, mostly.
I still dig him Hasbro should have used ball joints on those doors instead of a swivel hinge because it would have given them more posability options, and for the arms to be as chunky as they are I feel like he could have had arm cannons stored inside as opposed to that gun. Overall I do like him over the mainline despite not being my favorite take on the character
A VW campervan is certainly more common than a Lancia Stratos. I'm sure there is some thread of a backstory there. As for the disparity between figures, I'm sure it is a case of two different teams working on their projects independently of the other. That transformation does seem harrowing, but the details are super nice.
The transformation does not seem so bad. For me, a "nightmare" transformation is when parts always pop off no matter what you do , or panels that need to be "massaged" over and over for the damn things to align. There's non of that on that Pablo.

I'm only getting him for the Comby alt mode, because my dad and I love Volkswagen vehicles, I'm a sicko so i'm gonna enjoy this transformation and i'll find some loophole, Yes I enjoyed SS ROTB Mirage's transformation, I bought an MP figure because I wanted it to be challenging so one way or another i'll love this figures transformation, moral of the story: i'm a sicko and ENJOY complicated transformations, the more complicated the better, i know, it's a horrible thing also why can't they bother making Vanformers voyagers? cuz then it would actually scale in vehicle mode and it will give it more budget so they can make him look better, have more paint budget and improve the transformation
I wish they would have given us some short film of what was happening in between the Bumblebee Movie and Rise of the Beasts. Maybe it would have explained why Wheeljack looked like that.

5 pack wheeljack. Very interesting. I’ve been hesitant on buying that pack because I’m debating on whether or not it’s worth it. Trailer breaker isn’t that great. But having an earth mode hound, a properly coloured sunstreaker and a jazz without clear plastic is a very huge win. Do you think it’s worth getting pvp?

When he said they look better than the original 2007 design for some reason that made me angry but not that I think about they do look a bit cleaner together but the bayverse ones look better individually or in groups of two or three
I really wanted this figure because I liked the colours, robot design, and of course the vw bus, but you're completely right about the transformation being frustrating. I feel it wouldn't be so bad if the toy wasn't so small, but even then I've had Transformers for my entire life and it's just not intuitive.
12:32 I only needed the transformation segment of the video up until here, and I was able to finish it without the rest of the segment. Yes, there were clearance issues, but beyond that, it was pretty easy to figure out
When you said that ROTB Jakie remined you of Beachcommer I wasn't expecting it. Also this version of Wheeljack isn't the only Autobot whose head can be easily seen in alt mode, X-Brawn from RID 2001 had his head visible in the passenger seat in his alt mode.
I personally disagree with the transformation being a nightmare. As long as you do things in a certain order and know some tricks, nothing gets in the way. It's not a nightmare, just specific.
I'd probably get this to give my BB movie Ironhide an earth mode. Cuz like, Ironhide is a van in G1 Transformers so I feel like replacing Wheeljack's head with Ironhide's and maybe possibly recolouring either the head or the body would make for a pretty sweet earth mode for Ironhide. Little bit disappointed he doesn't come with the arm cannons he has in the movie, cuz that would've made the translation into Ironhide even more perfect Edit: On second thought, not sure if Ironhide's head would fit due to Wheeljack's transformation

This figure looks absolutely amazing in both modes! ❤ I love it, I love how the actual bus headlights cover the robot mode lights, it's so cool! I just wish the transformation didn't involve almost breaking the doors. Also, I totally believe they just made a cool robot design and then they put some random well known name on it! I love this design overall, I just don't feel that's Wheeljack, specially after the Cyberyron scene, but overall I love it :)
Tbh I didn’t find this guy to be even remotely as hard as Mirage. I also didn’t really have a problem with the door clearance. Maybe it was an early model issue? But if it is a problem for you it’s easy to pop the doors off and pop them back on after you get the arms sorted.
Just got this guy at a discount store for $5. Transformation honestly wasn’t that bad in my opinion. You just have to be a little patient and careful. Decent figure, but I probably would never have picked this guy up if it wasn’t for the huge discount
The upgrade kit will make pablo so good: the arm canons, the door wings flipped around (to better match the film), and rotating wrists without that cover stopping rotation. I can see it now🔥
Well, I just used this video to help transform my copy as we only just got them where I am. You're right, It's painful which is why I'm so glad I bought 2 and won't be transforming it again.
Very much like Mirage he's an awesome figure that unfortunately suffers from overuse of clear plastic and over engineering. Detail and proportions look great though. Thought he was initially pretty undersized but the scale actually works out pretty well. May pick him up at some point.

It won’t happen but I’d like the ROTB Wheeljack toys to be remolded with a new head into a new toy of Energon Tow-Line.
Very much like Mirage he's an awesome figure that unfortunately suffers from overuse of clear plastic and over engineering. Detail and proportions look great though. Thought he was initially pretty undersized but the scale actually works out pretty well. May pick him up at some point.
