For raw concrete; H&C concrete stain, solvent based. For basement walls; UGL Dryok.

What paint is good for the concrete sides of the house

I'm looking for a primer to paint over the concrete so stains won't bleed through. I can't sand these stains off the concrete.

After using the BEAHR granite grip product on my front and back patios I will never buy another DEH our product again. It was a nightmare to apply and lifted in many places even after extensive concrete prep

Home Depot? You're kidding me. As a PROFFESIONAL with 45 plus years, I would never use any Home Depot or Lowes products and expect a good job finish. Trash. Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore or PPG. The only time I use any of their products is when a home owner has already bought that garbage and it's been tinted and cant be returned.

Thank you for your honesty. For clarity, you like the SW, BM &/or PPG concrete paints? They were written between “trash” & “the only time” so wasn’t sure. 😊

Your are stuck on the name sir. Sherwin Williams is fine paint, sometimes the #2 guys try harder. I have rooms in my house painted 14 years ago form Home Depot. Was going to repaint soon. Wife says they still look as good as the day they were done.

Keep using that "paint and primer". More like glue.. Sad part is S&W bought out M.A. Bruder and trashed a whole line of great paint products by discontinuing them. MAB and Finneran & Haley were way better paints, but when you're a huge company you buy things to break. I will admit S&W is better than Depot or Lowes and yes I know they have a partnership.

@@NewBluesBros if I were to do the work myself, which floor paint would you recommend? I want quality but also don't want to deal with epoxy. I would rather put down a quality slip resistant (possibly textured look) paint that I can always put another coat over if need be in 5-10 years. I don't like the idea of epoxy (when it fails it all has to come off). For context I occasionally park in the garage and live in NC (very little snow). I would Appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

I've found that the premium products from PPG and Behr sold at HD are virtually indistinguishable from SW or Ben Moore. My only purchases outside HD nowadays is Ben Moore for Scuff-X white semi-gloss.
