Outstanding review! Very articulate and hits all of the important highlights. Trading in my 2011 3500 LTZ for a 2015 3500 High Country and this is the most comprehensive review of the HD out there. Good to see the improvements incorporated in the 2014s.
the Ford and Ram are nice but ,GM got the best DIESEL engine (DURAMAX) with the best transmission (ALLISON) available in any HD truck .I have own and drive many of all three Brand over the years, and there power train combinaison is unbeatable for towing ,fuel efficiency and maintenance.. at the end ,people will buy the truck they like.. not necessary the "best"
Whats brand new about this truck. Looks the same as the 2001 model. Is that braces on its grill. Boy, I hope it doesn't leak oil ...my contractor has a 2011 model..he has to pour a qt of oil every day.
I just bought a 2015 2500HD LTZ with the Duramax/Allison. Anyone with anything bad to say and says some other brand is better is an uninformed idealogue.
I thought GM would adapt to them too but according to engineers and GM, the problem they say about the all new aluminum 6.2L is just that....its aluminum. where the 6.0L still uses iron instead. durability issues arise during heavy towing. to GM, the older 6.0L is a no brainer. designer a iron design for the 6.2L doesn't make economic sense to them.
blankerism Oh yeah? what about the the cast iron Detroit 6.2L DIESEL! (I'm joking in case you actually took me seriously) But GM definitely should definitely re-introduce a cheap light duty Naturally aspirated diesel into their trucks. A lot of the stigma is bullshit, My dad's 1988 Box body dually has over 500,000 kilometers on it with no mechanical issues (aside from the harmonic balancer, we're on our second and its making clacky clonk noises, but they're easy and inexpensive to replace)
Try towing my 43ft 5th wheel Fuzion triple axle toyhauler if u think that 38ft Vengeance 5th wheel dual axle is ridiculous...😂 U never forget it's back there
Agreed. My Grandpa has a 2001 Silverado 1500 LT Extended Cab 4x4 in two tone deep ruby red metallic with a matching canopy on it. A unique old school truck. Extended Cab looks just right.
I have a 2013 extended cab one of the last real extended cabs sold in the area it better then these dumb new extended cabs my back doors open way more then these new shortend crew cab extended cabs and what's with the 6.0 vortec not getting any of attention 360 hp and 380tq wtf GM they new to put a cash version of 6.2 in the HD trucks and a manual transmission would be nice dodge still offers a stick many I should convert to a dodge guy thanks GM for letting us huge GM fans down once again
...and not a critical word was spoken that day. Surely this vehicle has some weak points beyond the slight dead-zone in the steering? Is this a review or an advertisement?
Ment to say GM needs to put cast version of 6.2 in the HD I might just need to buy a crew cab 3500dually with 6.2 fuck duramax and all the emissions bull shit gasser for me please but want more balls then 6.0
I had a 2008 6.0 6spd auto 2500HD and I'm telling you it would of bin alot nicer if it had some more so call balls. It makes no sense to offer a 6.2 420plus HP in there 1500 series and not the HD
+amanoncrack They could easily make a cast 6.2 GM just can't keep up with competition like they did back in the good old days. And it's a little pathetic when the 5.3 ecotec makes almost as much as the 6.0 there for GM needs to either revise the 6.0 give it a shot in the arm or completely replace it with a cast 6.2.
+amanoncrack well they better do something cause them 6.4 Hemi HD Dodges are a beast of an engine compared to the little 6.0 I would rather own a GM but if GM can't get there head in the game my next truck might just have to be a 6.4 Hemi HD to pull my 5th wheel.
Well go see a ram review. Just towing half it's weight (30k) it struggles. Im not saying the cummins is a bad motor far from it in fact i think it's probably the best diesel you can get but in HD to HD test GM has always outperformed the competition.
This guy knows how to do reviews

amazing editing job. I'm a Ford guy but the work that went into to the video made this Chevy look great!
I never seen such a great review I mean wow and this is free. Well done guys.
Alot better, clear and to the point than those TFL idiots
Over 600,000 miles on mine and still enjoying it.
Best test so far.
Good video.
This truck might have less power than the ford and dodge but that Allison transmission makes up for that.
GM has the most power at the rear wheels.
Allison Trans has many bennies beside being durable.
Stephan should do more reviews! By far the best, give him a shot with a car.
Great review as always!
I really like the new look
Great review!
his reviews are so good hes a natural
I like the leg room feature
I always like his reviews
best footage i have seen in a long time..
truck looks amazing :D

The GM has the most power at the rear wheels.
Other brands brag more power, but not when measured at the rear wheels.
GM has them beat.
good man, thank you…can you detailed one on sierra Denali 2014
I love these new GM HD pickups!
Good Review!
good review man, sweet truck

Gotta love your Duramax :D
This guy always does a good truck review but he did flick us off a couple times in this one
The incredible HULK on wheels ! HULK SMASH!
I thought that they were going to use the new all aluminum 6.2L V8, what's up with that?
I thought GM would adapt to them too but according to engineers and GM, the problem they say about the all new aluminum 6.2L is just that....its aluminum. where the 6.0L still uses iron instead. durability issues arise during heavy towing. to GM, the older 6.0L is a no brainer. designer a iron design for the 6.2L doesn't make economic sense to them.

Every truck review needs a big white dude :D
That trailer is just ridiculous :)

U never forget it's back there
I'll put dallies at the front too
I hate the new forward hinged doors

for a truck reviev u need a big white guy period

fuck me dat torque
Ment to say GM needs to put cast version of 6.2 in the HD I might just need to buy a crew cab 3500dually with 6.2 fuck duramax and all the emissions bull shit gasser for me please but want more balls then 6.0
+amanoncrack yes it's got 360 HP for balls Dodge and Ford both offer a 400plus HP Gasser.
I had a 2008 6.0 6spd auto 2500HD and I'm telling you it would of bin alot nicer if it had some more so call balls. It makes no sense to offer a 6.2 420plus HP in there 1500 series and not the HD

+amanoncrack fuck Ford Dodge makes a way better truck
So this truck has less power than the Ram and Ford...and honestly doesn't look that well.
Well go see a ram review. Just towing half it's weight (30k) it struggles. Im not saying the cummins is a bad motor far from it in fact i think it's probably the best diesel you can get but in HD to HD test GM has always outperformed the competition.
I'm sorry but this truck is just down right ugly. At least the GMC looks better. The current Chevy truck looks better than this one!
no, you are ugly... and spoiled
Haha look in the mirror
