I have the 2015 GMC Sierra and at 177k miles it is still going strong. I did replace the engine at 140k miles and I had that done at the dealership. I got a 3 year warranty with it. Next thing to do will be to replace the transmission with a brand new one.

good video once more from kbb. FYI to viewers, I'm the owner of a 2014 Sierra crew cap V6, 18,000 miles now. The truck vibrates each time is on the cylinder deactivation mode. There's "no" fix from GM. Lemon Law anyone?

BEAUTIFUL TRUCK. I JUST BOUGHT MINE new 2015 Gmc sierra .. I HAD A 2003 gmc sierra, which I also bought new and loved it. I had no issues at all, only regular maintenance. IT HAS ,200k miles. IT ALL DEPENDS HOW WELL YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR VEHICLES. THEY ARE TO USE ,NOT ABUSE. SLOT OF PEOPLE EXPECT A VEHICLE TO LAST FOREVER WHEN THEY TREAT THEM LIKE SHIT. NO MAINTENANCE ON TIME. NO NOTHING,Just start the vehicle and go. I got ten years out of my first sierra, and since I always buy new, I pay more, but I know that I will be the first to fart in it.

  • @mak450

If I was in the market I'd definitely pick up(see what I did there?) a Sierra. Still I feel like GM's shooting themselves in the foot by making it so difficult/costly to get into a 6.2 equipped model. I used to work as a cart wrangler at a Home Depot and one thing I noticed is there's a high percentage of truck buyers who'll buy the big engine and don't really care as much about fuel economy.

if you're looking at buying a GM product, i would suggest to buy a 2-3 year old truck, they lose their value so fast they are a dime a dozen after a few years

I replaced the transmission twice. 3 thermostats. 2 coolant temperature sensors. 1 radiator. 2 batteries. 1 washer fluid pump. 1 alternator. 1 starter. 1 set of front & rear rotors. several suspension parts..etc....and I'll do it all over again! 😂😂

The only possible upside to buying a Silverado would be low cost maintenance. The Ford Ecoboost and the Ram Ecodiesel are going to far more expensive to maintain and repair. The Toyota is far too big and cumbersome and it looks like a big boy Tonka truck.

Most car makers have factories in the US that build almost all of the vehicles we drive daily and employ thousands; from Toyota to Hyundai, from Mercedes to VW. Parts for vehicles are built all over the world. This is all part of the globalization, what is the worry that if China or the EU economies fall it will affect everyone.

Excellent touch with the drone dust spitting up. :)) I Love this style. At first I was like FORD all the way. Then RAM was very cool and massive front end design and awesome adjustable shocks and now I love the look of the interior and exterior of the GM twins and what they offer. Most buyers get close or above 10K off the retail. so I say Why not? Gas is cheap for the moment. ;)))

I lost my faith with Chevy truck. My 6 month 2015 Chevy Silverado had a big crack that spits in two for no apparent reason with no signs of impact. I took to my dealership and they told me they will not replace it even though it might be a manufacture defect. Good thing my insurance will cover it. i went online and did some more research and realized other people are having the same problem with their front glass crack all of sudden for 2014-2015 Chevy Silverado model. Buyers be beware! Way to go Chevy for your cooperation or in this case none!

You guys do realize Ford and Toyota have no any special rebates compared to the Chevy...with the same options, Toyota runs 75-100 bucks more monthly, depending on if ur leasing or buying...for the price and the special offers can't go wrong with this truck...and the ram, well it looks way too old...f150 is nice and all with the aluminum body, but ur talking bout higher insurance rates and once again no deals at all...these things count when ur buying a truck.

Aluminum vs steal in an accident no contest. Ford as always is out of the race. Toyota's trucks like to spontaneously combust in the door panel's because they went way to cheap on the wiring (like chevy does on fuel lines and ford on well everything) So see ya Toyota. Last dodge and frankly hemi engines are WAY over rated. Diesel is a horrible fuel all around and the engines cost far more to maintain/ repair. There is only one truck on the market and thats the Silverado and that ain't much of a truck either.

It's American. What does that mean?
It will break. It will most likely get recalled.
Save yourself the trouble, and buy the Toyota Tundra. It's simply a better truck.
PS: The dampened tailgate and the bumper step has been on other trucks for years.

    • @z28kindaguy
      @z28kindaguy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

***** I couldn't disagree more. To me, a vehicle needs to be reliable point A to point B transportation. I don't need anything "special". I buy a vehicle and drive it until the wheels fall off. I've had much better luck with Japanese cars and trucks compared to American. No comparison. My 04 Accord with 235K, for example, has never been to the shop. Only repairs needed besides the usual was the rear O2 sensor, and I was able to do that myself. My Tundra and Mazda CX-9 have also never been to the shop. 3 to 5 years is a very low expectation. To each their own.

+Super Perrito I always see a GM off the side of the road and my two roommates, one has 2 Chevys and the other has one, is always doing something to their vehicles. Repair wise. Me? I have a 2002 Ford Focus, same engine and transmission (auto) with 182,000 miles. Only had to have an ignition switch replaced for the 5-6 years I've had it. :)
