Yeah, I don’t personally own one but I’ve driven one, it’s not super fast like top speed, but it gets off the line like CRAZY

Traxxas is great.. you need to adjust your shocks because of motor placement.. stiffen the left side soften the right..

I run 50% tsm on my E-revo 2.0 anytime im on concrete or going over 35mph just for stabil control. It's helped me as a begginer RC'er
I think this video sold me on getting one. I really want to get into drag racing as it's picking up in this area. The slash may not be the best out there but in its class, it should rock. I also didn't want to wrap up so much money in an on-road car that I could only drag. Being a slash, I would think I could set it up to be pretty fun on-road semi-basher to run around local lots. Even out the tires a little front to back, take the wheelie bars off and it should be really fun in a smooth lot to rip around. Can't even go into how awesome that C10 body looks with a light kit and all. If ever there was a place for the slash audio this would be fun. Even though it adds weight, doing burnouts and trans brake would be really cool until race time.
What a cool car....just need to find an extra $500 laying around!

I'm a kid but I have a redcat gen 7 but its kinda clapped the body posts all broke the body is wrecked the 2 supports snapped and I'm just planning on getting nothing but money for the next few years from xmas exc to get the cen racing f450 for towing and a drag slash.

For drag racing, you can only use 2s batteries. Adjust the height of your wheelie bars, it will help keep the front down so you can control the truck better on launch. Yes, they do pull wheelies. 😃

@@captainthruster9484 not really thats what classes in racing are for its who can do the best tuning with the same mods. Ie launch tuning with suspension and wheelie bar, tire pressures, reaction time, the tune in thr car, etc. Like for a slick track more power wont get you the win youll spin and lose less power even less than your opponent you can just make it a to b and count on your opponent thinking you have power turned up and hope that he spins trying to keep up

It’s built for the NPRC. You are correct in that 2S is the max you can run in the class. Burning out is to clean the tires and put heat in the tires to soften them up for more grip. Hold the wheelie bars and lift the rear end just enough to take some weight off the rear end. Give it throttle to get the tires to spin. As the tires are spinning (1/3-1/2 throttle) start to add downward pressure to the wheelie bar so the tires begin to bark. You will feel the truck trying to pull away from you harder as the tires heat up. That’s all that’s to a burn out

I wish the drag scene had more scale looking bodies. These are freakishly wide. I wish the chassis had a narrower track width for the scale looks. This is a problem for all 2wd buggy based platforms.
This body and chassis is actually narrower than a regular slash

You can do a burn out by using the wheelie bar to hold it back. Pull it side to side for even wear on your tires. These tires will hook up better for less spin during launch.
It would look better being pulled behind the Traxxas Chevy blazer

Hey man... few things to help dial it in. Try 2s first. Drop that wheelie bar almost to the ground, that’s what keeps the front wheels down so you can actually steer. If it’s pulling hard one side like that you need the smallest pre-load spacer on the side it’s pullin toward. And definitely warm up the tires and use that trans brake, pull throttle to like 75% and release trans brake. It’s built on a slash, but you can’t drive it like a slash. And the wind probably wasn’t helping. I drove these things for the Release vid, it took me 1/2 a day to figure them out, but then it got fun. Really fun. GL on the next runs!

was on the waiting list but canceled the order for the Losi. Long wait and with no one else interested in my area for No Prep... this has me thinking about it again. Even if its just to race my own times, at least it gets me practice until I find some other runners.

It’s a awesome looking unit. Also to put it into spec mode you need to pull the little cover on the receiver and press the button until it’s blinking green and then your good to go. Stay and Play Safe !! 👊👍
Get you a piece of carpet or a old car floor mat to do your burnout on. It help your tires to last longer than doing it on the surface.

You can turn the gyro off for a spec class. You want to use a pice of carpet (short Pyle) to burnout. Everyone has their own style, allot push down on the rear tires, I actually lift the rear end so there isn't added stress on the gears and motor, just so the tires make contact and heat up
Great video once again bud! Old floor mats out of trucks/cars works well for burn outs. Can't wait to see more! Oh and there are many people who make affordable tire warmers that plug into a 3s battery. Desert Hobbies has them.

Only 2s lipo is allowed in NPRL(no prep) gyros aren’t allowed either. Burnouts are usually required. Street eliminator races there’s no ban on gyros or a 2s lipo limit. They have a “run what u bring” mentality. 4s cars race 2s cars but the light tree is staggered for the higher lipo car to make it competitive.

Its a basic 2wd lcg slash with drag wheels/ tires, a wheel bar system and a trans brake that will certainly be destroying the slipper clutch often. You can't tell me that those few differences are worth the extra $170 from the cost of a basic slash vxl just to make the 132ft passes this thing is designed for ONLY.
Its not for speed runs (its a crappy vxl system). Change the electronics? Sure and lose the trans brake or atleast proper functionality of it. Such a poorly executed NICHE design. Im betting on seeing a ton of these on Ebay (used) not too long after they're fully released.

adjust the rear shock on right, soften it a bit and it will straighten it out and do a burn out to heat tires
I'm thinking of getting one since our local hobby shop has started racing these. I'll be honest, the Losi with the 100 amp ESC and 6500Kv motor looks better out of the box for a hundred bucks cheaper. The Associated and Traxxas have the 3500Kv motor and it just seems like the 6500 would be better for this kind of racing. And if it isn't you got an extra 100 bucks to get a different motor. I have 5 or so 2wd Slashes already and a bunch of parts so I really want the Drag Slash but not sure I can justify it for the price difference.

Id get the infraction with the right batteries or can hit 100 out of the box with speed gearing installed, while the slash only has a rated speed of 50 mph

The only class that would allow the use of the trans brake would be a newly formed Drag Slash specific class. Even in the DR10, you can't use the DVC. So. basically, every option on the drag slash is useless in organized drag racing.
Trans brakes are legal in real drag racing. Why wouldn't everyone be able to use one?
