I was so happy to get to show off the hitless speedrun route and all of its unique strategies you wouldn't see in a normal speedrun, like the tutorial fight with Genichiro. It would have been so amazing to get the whole run hitless, but it just wasn't meant to be this time. Hopefully everyone enjoyed it regardless!
What was the ratio of successful to failed hitless runs during your practice, if you could give an estimate? Nvm, got to the end of the vid, 50% is crazy good, wow.
@@NinthSettlerGuess they thought pressing Shift x5 in quick succession wouldn't happen by accident all that much and did not take gamers and their button mashing tendencies into account.
@@evertonbrc To be fair when you have a decent amount of hours in this game Genichiro just gets easy. In regular play you face him three times already. Multiply that with the amount of runs these guys do. I don't want to take away from the runner here. The run was amazing. Genichiro at the beginning isn't much of a hurdle for that though.
@@tobiasha93Bosses in general are not the main threats to these kind of runs. Most of the hitless runs attempts for other Soul's games die cause of some cheap shot from a random grunt or critter.
Absolutely fun and great run from Mitchriz and I was following a/sgdq for a few years now and let me say something LilAggy and Parkenharbor such a power couple of speedrunning 😍 Keep up being awesome a/sgdq and all runners 🤜🤛
Lil aggy onced bet Sekiro blindfolded. Would recommend checking it out. To "get so gud" in these games, it is not that hard imo. In the end, it is mostly knowledge and if you have the understanding, the rest almost comes by itself. Will never not be insane tho.
You can definitely tell how nervous Mitch was with all the shakiness from his mouse. Sekiro is definitely the hardest fromsoft game and it’s insane that people can get this good.
Honestly, it’s the easiest bro, am doing a aecond playthough of it rn after 4 years and i’m beating almost all bosses first try, once you get the muscle memory for it it becomes easy
These are the 3 that made me enjoy soulsboorne speed runs and challenge runs. These are easily my top 3 runners in souls runs. Fun, smart, and they all do unique stuff.
wow he made this look easy ,my dumb ass cuz i get lost all the time just realized today ( as im still on my 1st play through) ,i just beat all the boss except the last one without the mortal blade . omg! i played the game in the wrong order as i beat the monkey then the ghost lady
For the normal game there isn´t a wrong order, they can be done from players choice and are close in difficulty, just the monkey is easier to acess so most players get to him first.
I am so glad you mentioned that at 22:10 about the mortal draw and mortal blade how it was just kind of meh like how can it have a name like that and not do the thing like take them out! So thank goodness it got a big ole patch it should do that lol if use a move called mortal draw and it doesn't do that well it's just not right lol what do you mean a mortal blade doesn't mortally wound people what's it doing it hurting their feelings lol no ow this sash was sewn by my me mah lol
He goes for the Shura ending, which ends the game Early. If you decide to side with Owl and betray your master, Kuro, you get the bad ending, which ends the game early. You fight Emma, and a different version of Isshin, instead of the other endings, where you fight owl, do the water palace, fight the dragon, then fight genichiro and swordsaint isshin.

It's kinda funny how, to beat the game hitless, you actually need to beat Genichirou at the beginning.

In normal game you can with a lot of practice, things go crazy with demon bell and additional dificulty.

Could also just be performing in front of a live audience. I play piano and no matter how easy a piece is, I’m always shaky during a performance

13:50 was so cool Geni really positioned himself so that dodging a thrust attack is hard, then the absolute mad skill to deflect the thrust.

DS2 sotfs was the only from soft title that needed some significant remapping, otherwise kbm is great.
