Sir you are a legend! For anyone else that's coming to this video to change the loot teleportation settings: * change to true if you want to disable the loot teleportation * but change to false if you actually want to activate being able to teleport all loot.
Thank you so much for this video I used it to change all kinds of small adjustments. I do want to point out that if you are changing the castle max size the game will not allow you to go over the 250 mark of the highest tire castle but you can adjust the amounts within the other tiers of castles.
Glad the vid helped! To expand on this, One thing you can try if you want your castle bigger is set the "CastleMinimumDistanceInFloors": 2, to 1 and place another heart to continue building although you will have a gap unfortunately. (1 is the minimum limit.) I'd suggest using elevation to hide this so separate your 2 castles using the land stairs to not make it look off.
Thanks for sharing this. I hastily made my 1st private server and didn't fully check the server options until I was at ~10 hour playtime. There was this 1 option that I didn't like, so this really helped me change that.
Perfect video! Showing exactly how it's done... A lot of the other videos show you most bits, but then leave out a vital portion. You however did everything! Thank you!!!!!!!
Thanks dude. Just playing solo offline is a bit nutty in terms of waiting for certain materials to craft, so I upped the refinement rate for better balance for single player.
I was told it works with notepad too. I have tested and yes it does. One thing to point out that not all setting will change easily. For example, I was able to alter damage modifier for my Vampire but not the health. Server settings says 5 times hp but it never changes in game. Probably more steps too it, but wanted to share a caution before people make big changes to find out they cant be undone. Edit: Seems anything with a numerical on screen representation (health, spell power, physical power. etc) does not change in game with editing this way. The settings loading server details change but nothing in game changes. Edit 2.0:Further exploring, equipment does work but you have to recraft the items. I recrafted my bone gear(starter stuff) and it went from just showing 2 times the player hp to actually giving me the 2 times the hp. Still trying to figure out player hp.
Does this work with Cloud saves? Its in the cloud saves folder but when I changed something it said "corrupted" in-game and the "Host game" button was greyed out, I reverted the change and its back, I assume this is because my change conflicted with the cloud, maybe if I restarted my game it would ask me to sync from cloud or local but I don't wanna chance it encase I mess the file up :D any experience with this?
Yes it does, the cloud saves are just in a separate area in the save file location I mentioned. Also if steam states that a save is newer than the other choose local because that is the one you edited. What setting did you change? Some settings require you to set it in specific number multiples like 2, 4, 6 and setting that value to a 5 for example would cause that error. I'm pretty sure with a cloud save you would need to also have the game closed instead of in the menu like here but I could be wrong on that. Then you would need to select use local like I mentioned above. Also please make sure to copy the file to your desktop as a backup just to be safe first
There is something that may be easier if you don't want to mess with the file. You can also try whats been mentioned in these comments is to create a new world with the setting you want changed on it and then copy that settings file to your intended save and that will work no hassles. For this to work right the first time though you would need to remember the other settings you changed as well when you created your first save. That said if you copy and paste the setting you wanted to change I could also try help you change it.
It does work with ResouceYeildModifier It will only work with newly generated resource sources. You need to mine the stuff around you (or where ever) and the new things that spawn will give the new rates.
From what I understand, the one in the steam folder is the "original" server settings the game shows you when setting up a new world and the locallow settings are a copy that acts as your worlds configured settings after the world is launched.
Yes, any setting that is not in your worlds file needs to be copied over from the original settings and then the value can be changed to what you want.
Glad it helped! To change castle size I believe the settings is something to the tune of "Castle Floors" do be careful though, the setting can only go up in 50's so 50 100 150 and so on. Also a quick warning. The limit only goes up to 250 if memory serves. I'd suggest changing the castle floor min distance to 1 (it cannot be 0) and place a second heart and build an addition that way if you want it bigger. To make this seem seamless I suggest using elevation. So place the second heart either one tile higher or lower and use the cliff as the one tile. Hope this helps!
Random question that maybe you will know? Do you know if there is any prompt that can alter the time it takes for servants to finish missions? I know there is the drop menu ones which edit how much servants will bring back when they finish the mission but I cannot find one which can alter the time it takes. Mostly asking as when I play solo, servants taking 8+ real life hours is a bit much, specially considering those hours only count when you are on the solo game. I know there is a chance there is no prompt as me and a friend have been looking for it for a few days now but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask anyways. Also thank you for the video, it was insightful as I originally did not realize there were two locations with the server settings tbh.
Hi! Im also trying to reduce that timer. I'd love to tell you that there was a setting to add however i believe its directly tied into the game time, which is tied to real time so you wouldn't be able to speed it up as far as I know unfortunately. Ive tried inputting different things into the settings on a test world but so far I haven't been able to reduce the time. If that changes ill let you know.
One work around i have been using is, i set the "DropTableModifier_Missions": 1.0, which is the amount you get from the missions from 1.0 to 4.0 and i gear up my servants until they have a 100% success chance on reckless in the hunt menu in the Throne and send them then. That way i get close to, if not the same resources i would have gotten from 23 hours in only 2 hours. I haven't tested exact rates yet but i will be doing so soon to see what i need to change the modifier to for it to be around the same amounts.

when I did this, I changed the castle floor limit for a level 3 castle heart to 175 on notepad saved it, I did all this when the game was not open so when I did open the game pressing continue gave me a bugged UI where text overlapped and my recently played server shows unknown status and can't be played on. does anyone knows what happened?
That sounds like maybe something wasn't changed correctly. I dont think that for castle floors 175 is a valid option, i believe it only goes up in values of 50 so you may have to set it to 200. Thats my best guess.
This happens when an invalid line is added to the text in notepad, remove any added lines and revert all setting back to their original and your UI will go back to normal. Before you do this, verify game cache files on steam and this might fix the issue without you having to do anything. This happened to me and I spent nearly 2 hours trying to figure out how to fix it. The 175 limit for castle floors needs to be left. All of the floor values in general cannot be changed without breaking the game as far as I know. I had so much hope after watching this video... I could modify the server settings properly, but after that, when I launch my game... there is an error message during the loading : "Error Server" and I have to come back to the start menu. Too bad... Edit : actually, even after puting back the original files, for which I made a backup before the manipulations, my main game wont launch anymore !
Yup, same thing happened to me, pretty sure doing anything to that file bricks it completely, I had backups aswell but nope, doesn't matter, for some reason that file is unique and ANYTHING done to it, gone.
Found a way to get around this, start a new world, create your character as before, when you load in, quit out and then swap in the save games from your broken world, it'll keep the world settings from the new one but load up the old saves.
@@Abby_Sciuto Some settings are finicky, they do not go half measures. Castle floors for example will brick your game if you try to change their number to anything that isnt in 50's. so 75 for instance. It is generally a good practice to try start a new game just to see the settings and see what the value range is for the setting you want to change. Deviating from the settings range will cause the save to go bad. Whenever this happened to me however, I just changed the setting back and all was well again.
Could be something as simple as a missing comma. Simplest fix would be to create a new world with the settings you want and copy the settings file over and replace the old broken one just to be safe. See if that fixes it. If not it may be something else
Thx for the video but why it doesn't work with editing world bosses level, for example: I'd created world with bosses level 85, now I've edited lvl to 80 and it's doesn't apply in my save, it doesn't work neither on local nor private server. All bosses still have lvl 85. On reddit people telling that first u need to kill boss and only then he will respawn with lvl 80, but it's pitty for me, 'cause I don't want to beat them in hours or from the console by "killing command", I just want to get abil. with fair game but not in such hardcore) Pls help - thank u again!
Hi, unfortunately, like the setting that changes resource amounts, the object the setting affects needs to be destroyed first and re-spawned for the new setting to take effect. To my knowledge there is no workaround to this. The only way i can think of is If you want an easier time killing the bosses i can suggest maybe changing your weapons damage slightly. Changing damage numbers does mean you will have to recreate your weapons as well. Though this will make other normal enemies weaker by proxy.
@@imicc935 I know it wasn't the answer you were looking for. Sorry about that. Although, im not sure where you are in the game, but if you are just getting to iron, I recommend getting the Generals Soul Reaper. Its really powerful and should be usable to you for many bosses. I personally used it all the way until I got dark silver weapons. Its blueprint is also something you can get pretty freely (Its a % chance to drop) since an undead commander in the iron mines fights Meredith the Bright Archer. You could even get the boss for free or semi free depending on how badly she gets hurt.

Unfortunately I'm unaware of a way to do that. As far as I know each player can have at minimum one heart so I don't think you can limit them. That said I've never attempted to and it might be possible. Though from an admin perspective you can put it in the rules and delete any castles if the rule is broken
Yes, this does indeed still work. From what I can see, the change they have now made is that only the settings you change are added to the server settings file. All you need to do is add the setting you want to edit into your saves file from the master settings file that is found in the steam vrising installation folder. I show you how to find that master settings file in the video

Hi, im sorry to hear that. Could you please go into some detail for me on what value you used and on what file you changed it on and i may be able to help you out. There could be a few issues here.
Whenever this happened to me however, I just changed the setting back and all was well again.
my game is now quite a bit buggy after doing this. Is there something I may have done wrong?
@@o0Dread0o Acknowledged, thanks for your time, I'm also thought about this variation, but as it says: - "Hope dies last")
@@imicc935 I know it wasn't the answer you were looking for.
@@o0Dread0o No, it's okey! By the way - that's a very good advise, I'll try it asap, thanks again for your feedback, I didn't expect such help, best regards!)
So I tried to reduce the rate for crafting time, I believe this is the server setting I should, but although it changes when I read the server details, the rate for crafting or melting ore doesn't change, any ideas why?
You may have to destroy and replace your stations. This can also be because the value was set too high? Although I'm sure you may just have to replace the stations
@@o0Dread0o thank you very much , that did it
where do you find the crating rate in your own settings, cause it seems I can't find it at all
@@gabio7913 craft rate modifier, if it doesn't exists you copy it from the list and then edit the number according to your needs.
@@gabio7913 if you follow the video it tells you to open two notepad files, one of them has all the possible settings you need. Press in that file after you open it Ctrl +F and type crafting, this will locate all craftin relevant settings. When you locate the crafting rate, simply copy it and paste it on the second file from your server according to the videos instructions and edit the number to your needs.
i dont have that saves in the locallow > stunlock >> >> so what i do then lol
You most likely cloud save then. You can try turn cloud saves off, launch the game, start the server and once it loads, quit out and see if that creates a save.
Thank you!! I just wanted to be able to teleport with items on my private server I made 30 hours of gameplay ago with my wife. I really didn't want to have to restart. TY TY!
No problem at all! I'm happy to hear that the video helped!
Hi dude,
Do you know how to make a PvP server with only one castle heart per clan? I have a feeling it is something to do with starting the game with some of the achievements already unlocked, but I really dont know.
Ty : )
Unfortunately I'm unaware of a way to do that. As far as I know each player can have at minimum one heart so I don't think you can limit them. That said I've never attempted to and it might be possible.
Though from an admin perspective you can put it in the rules and delete any castles if the rule is broken
You saved me a headache, thanks!
does this still work after gloomrot?
Yes, this does indeed still work. From what I can see, the change they have now made is that only the settings you change are added to the server settings file.
All you need to do is add the setting you want to edit into your saves file from the master settings file that is found in the steam vrising installation folder. I show you how to find that master settings file in the video
I have uploaded an updated video showing the new methods.
This seems to be broken when changing refining costs. It literally just doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas why? No matter what I do, the cost of refining won't change.
Hi! I believe someone else I spoke to said that you need to destroy and place new stations back down.
can you up the max concurrent players?
If you mean past the max you can set when creating the server then no, unfortunately the max number when using the sliders in the menu is the limit
@@o0Dread0o I mean I set the limit to 6 but now 7 friends want to join and I can’t get back to that slider because the world already started
@@ApoMarz click on your world in the world select and bottom right in that menu is the Max Concurrent Players number, simply raise it there
At 2:14 you can see what I'm referring to
@@o0Dread0o I could of sworn I tried that and it didn’t work. It worked this time, thanks 😊
Very helpful, million thanks

Doesn't work. Server clan size is set to 1 and doesn't change.
Hi, im sorry to hear that. Could you please go into some detail for me on what value you used and on what file you changed it on and i may be able to help you out.
There could be a few issues here. Either the setting was changed on the wrong file or the number could have maybe been set too high? Also if you are in game when changing the setting it will just revert back and change nothing. There could also be a typo (though i doubt this is the case)
@@o0Dread0o I opened up the servergamesettings, and by standard the clansize was set to 10, even though my game is set for whatever reason to 1. I tried to set to 5, boot up the game, close it and then set it to 10 again. But no changes were effective whatsoever >
@@o0Dread0o But in contrast, changes such as the duration of the day and daylight start/finish worked fine.
@@guiblacksteel1519 Thats truly odd, It is confusing that the setting wont change for just clan size only. This leads me to think that something in that specific line is off for some reason.
Ok so we have a few options since thats the case.
First thing you can try is remove the clan size line entirely and copy paste the one below
"ClanSize": 10,
(this may not work just giving the option.)
Second is contacting me on discord and i can try help personally through screen share.
Third should have a 100% chance of fixing this.
Start a new world, change the settings to the settings you want and then launch the world. Once you do that close to main menu and find the new worlds file. Move the servergamessettings file that currently seems bugged to your desktop for now.
Once you do copy that new worlds servergamesettings file into your world file and see if that fixes it.
If this one doesn't work ill be more than happy to try help through discord if you choose.
@@o0Dread0o hey, thanks for the reply, I'll try the fixes you provided me.
I'm not that comfortable with a discord call, because I'm not a native english speaker, and I'm not so confident about my conversation skills lol. But if I don't find a way to solving this, maybe I'll try a call. Thx again!
Worked for me! Thank you!
Too bad you cant change it to more than the game allows ... Its caped at a certain amount . Hope they change that in the new update
Yeah, there are a few settings that benefit from it slightly
@@o0Dread0o Yeah I just wanna change stack size /refinement speed and harvest to more that 5/10 etc tbh …
can you change the servant limit so that you can have more?. Never mind i found it :D sorry to bother you thx for the video
Anyone not have a save folder? It's driving me crazy
You probably need to find a cloud save folder. It's in the same general area.
@@o0Dread0o i check my save in cloud, thjey have other layout and miss like 90% of options sadly :_:
@@PsychoFreedom you can try to manually add the setting you want from the game folder settings file into the cloud save file and see if it applies. Obviously make a copy of the file first. That's why I pointed the first file out too, incase the setting you wanted wasn't there.
Try change one that is noticeable so you can find out easily.
@@o0Dread0o they become corrupted :_:
@@PsychoFreedom ah rats. Hmm. You can try turn cloud saves off in steam for vrising and try launch the save and exit and see if that saves a non cloud version
Again make sure you have copies, just in case

How do you edit castle Stat modifiers? I want to up the amount of hearts I can have
hi how can I set my castle territory limit
Hi sorry for the late reply but I believe you are looki g for castle floor limit. Max is 250 if I'm not mistaken
One thing you can try if you want your castle bigger is set the "CastleMinimumDistanceInFloors": 2, to 1 and place another heart to continue building although you will have a gap unfortunately. (1 is the minimum limit.) I'd suggest using elevation to hide this so separate your 2 castles using the land stairs to not make it look off
Thankyou brother
