One thing that was brought up that is important and that I missed in this video is the amount of servant coffins you can have is linked to your castle heart level. As you level your castle heart you will be able to have more coffins. Sorry it was missed in the video. I'm human it happens.

Not a thing as far as I know...
The only humans I'm the zone I found are in the spider eggs and they are all workers AND from other zones..

One thing to add, servants never get lost. You can run as much as you want with your horse that they will follow you anyway. Once you enter the castle they teleport next to you :)
Yes, but they can get killed by other npc's, so be careful and try to charm a servant with 20% hp.
@@OxyGenFLt And they can't be healed while charmed. But they can be shielded. And yes. Riding a horse past NPCs that take potshots at you is a VERY good way to get your charmed NPC killed.
And if the servant coffins are to far from the throne they will not show up
I also saw some pvp tourneys that use your Servants to defend/attack.. So I think if they're enticed, they will leave your claimed areas.

The one thing that disappoints me about servants is that there is no option for them to follow you. It would be nice to have one or two bois along for a boss fight

7:35, you can't deconstruct a coffin that is tied to a servant and if a player destroys the coffin a red outline will be left in place. Even if the coffin is destroyed the servant will stay alive and you can still resummon them once you repair the coffin.

You can also equip them with broken equipments and it will still benifit them.

@@Firespark81 also there is a chance to get an injure event where your servant is struck by a vampire hunters blade, causing them to go out of commission for 8 hours. Also you can take them through cave passages

Pretty sure missions don't happen while the server is down. So if you are playing a solo game or hosting a game that you don't keep going all the time, the servants won't be working on their missions. This is VERY important when you send them out for a 23 hour mission!
This is correct. If the server is not live, such as local single player, that 23-hour duration is 23 hours of play time. On my SP game, I just coffin-up instead of logging out. Sure, you will come out completely drained and at 1hp, but new players can keep rats for blood and advanced players can keep cages stocked with blood-prisoners.
This is a VERY good video about servant. I thought that I knew everything about them already... Keep up your good work.
The time out of commission depends on the severity of the injury too. Some of my servants only needed an hour or two to recover but I had some that were out of commission for 12 hours or so

Something I'll add, not sure if already mentioned. If you have a charmed servant following you and you make it to your castle/close the door they will teleport to appear beside you.

Great video! But i have a question. I send 2 servants with 100% success rating and both died. They didnt have items on their inventory either. Someone knows the possible reason?
How do get the alternate versions of the wolf and human forms I see u have on your control wheel?
Apologies if it has been posted before, but I've found with the shorter missions your efficiency will plummet if they get injured, which has a higher chance of happening over time since you are rolling 30% every 2 hours. 2 hours worth of loot becomes 4+ hours of overall time and possibly staggered recovery on "teams". Risk/reward. I've taken to just sending them off for 8-23 hours and checking once or twice a day.
how u get cursed forest hunter trait since there theres only creatures? Is it from one of those humans trapped in spider cocons?

So question about the door locks. If you have it on servant lock can they still leave to do tasks I set for them? I know it keeps them from walking the lands (if you have tiles outside)
Servants and Prisoners are so important in this game... I didn't really take advantage until recently, I was able to get the 3 soul shards so easily with 100% blood from my prisoners. Blood quality also impacts the overall level servants can be. The higher their blood, the less likely they are to get injured on missions.
You posted this video on my bday xD btw you can be hurt more than 60 min. I finished game months ago but is nice to see people try to learn new guys something.
Can you take a dominated person through a way gate? I built way up in the top east area and there aren't many people around, so I'd like to dominate someone and take them through waygate to my castle

the clan size was never locked at 4, that was just the base setting. from day 1 we set our game to 10, which was the max previously.
How do we get servants for the cursed forest area ? I don't see any humanoids in here that can transformed into servants...
Btw letting them go outside is a very bad idea because sometimes they dont close a door leaving you open to thieves

Do servants from different factions, farbane woods for example, have different abilities and strenght when defending your base?
I have castle in starter zone but i should take a Servant from High Level Zone... Fastest way to bring the Human to the coffin?
You can just sprint back to base on horse etc after you have the servant. No need to wait for them they will show at base.
So you hold the button down after throwing the bolt? Thats probably what im doing wrong

if u send him on a mission and he comes back injured, there is a message that says he needs to feed and there is a timer that counts down.. how do u feed him and/or heal him?
Thanks for the vid! Does their original gear score have any impact whatsoever or is it simply the blood quality that matters? And does anyone know if I should give my archer a crossbow or just ANY weapon with the highest gear score? Asking for hunts but also for general Castle defense
If they are flame archers i highly recommend against using them, as their flame will damage you, them, other servants and allies. Bombers will also deal damage to your own castle

So their level when you capture them doesnt matter at all? its all about their blood quality?
I would say that early game you should focus on getting brutes and rogues because they can do the missions that get weapons and rings for all your other servants.

Was anyone able to find Cursed Forrest Hunter thralls? Peasants caught in the Spider Nest are not it. Werewolves (human form) are not it. Anyone knows?
Dammit I'm addicted to this game now! I got over valheim and now this
when i log off im pretty sure the servents dont search for gear if the game is not running. So i just leave it running. It seems that if I get into a chest or storage and leave, the game stays running much longer.

Great vid. Can you do one about the best servant composition for base defense and if personal playstyle has any affect on that?
For a lvl3 castle heart which allows 7 max servants, 1 paladin, 2 clerics, 1 spell weaver, 1 priest and 2 knights.
For a lvl4 castle which the max is 9 servants. You want 1 paladin, 3 clerics, 2 spell weavers, 1 priest and 2 knights. Or you can swap out 1 spell weaver for another paladin.

question if i may i have 100% servants captured in the forest will they be ok if i send them les say to the village or the silver mines?
My servant coffin turn into red and visible. can walk through them. I terminate my servant, but nothing happen. It always show resurrecting. Also cannot destroy or cannot dismantle. what should I do ?
Saw your coffin count was 3/5 in one castle, and another castle looked to have more. Is there a hard limit on the number of thralls you can have, or is it a limit in each castle? Is it based on levels or skills? Just wondering what kind of army I could raise. :)
It is limited by your castle heart level. Crap I should have put that in there. Sorry about that.

If you Dominate a human and have 2 castles with open prison cells in both, where will they end up if you use the Duskcaller item?
Is there any benefit, beyond success chance, for gearing up servants so they are overpowered for their mission? More loot, lower injury chance etc?

im getting impatient man when will i be able to build a actual castle, im almost lvl 30. also how can I move all my stuff to set up a spot more in the middle or some place else? my base ia the the bottom right where you start LOL
Is there any difference between a deadeye and a milita member if they both have rogue blood? because in the overworld one has significantly more health and moves and stuff
The longbow will be better at defending your base. Other than that there is no difference
Does the level of the human matter before you convert them? Will they have more or less power when defending your castle?
They level is not important at all as they will get their level from the gear you give them. Higher level mobs usually have more powerful abilities tho. A lvl 40 Militia longbow will be more threatening than a standard human archer
No one can answer this for me. If I’m in a pvp server and I get raided and the raider breaks my coffen can I simply repair that coffen and get that sed servant back with its current gear?. And that’s just current armour equiped

Does anyone have xperience/footage on how wells erveants function when they actually defend your base from a raid? I was wondering if it is worth to keep them in top gear in order to summon them home when a raid hits and try to take on the invaders with your mobs. Do they deal good damage? Do they use their special abilities? (Like the nun aoe healing etc)
Yes they are a force to be reckoned with if they're grouped up

Idk if I've encountered a bug or I'm missing something, but I have 7 servents but when I sit on my throne, only 3 of them show up in the list.
All 7 have gear, all 7 have "status" of normal", all 7 have no materials in their loot. All 7 are in the same castle (coffins are all lined up side by side)
Am I missing something?

Are rogue servants useless for missions? I can't find any locations asking for tracking skills in the Dunley Farm area at all.
Rogue useful at skeleton place. There got church of damned at north of dunley. It good spot for rouge and can get scourgestone. Send two rogue here get this rare material
I swear no time passes for my servants on mission when I log out. Is that because I’m on a private server?
I do have to refute your servent walking in claimed area. I'm not sure if there was a patch for it or not but I have one servent that does leave my claimed area to roam freely dont know why but every time i go out side the castle there is soo much loot drop due to my servent killing everything from wolfs to deer . but other than that it's a great vid.
Interesting I have never had one leave my base if I do not have area claimed outside of it. Wonder if its a bug.
I had three servants wander down the road and attack a village that was about 70 meters away…for no good reason. I started using the servant lock doors to stop them from getting themselves killed…
Glad you got into V Rising! I haven't found any way to do this yet, but open question for you and your fans: "Is there a way to revert a bound servant so you can switch it to another castle, or turn it into a prisoner for blood potions?"
Use the build menu, select the coffin to move and run your butt off to the new place before putting it back down…

There is now after the gloomrot update. You can make an item that teleports them to the nearest friendly prison. Just remove all prisons from your one base and then use the item, it will teleport the charmed servant to your other base ( if you have a prison there). I play solo, mind you that the servant teleports to the nearest friendly prison, allied clanmembers included. Edit: i misunderstood the question, once you make them a thrall it is final. You can however switch prisoners between bases and then turn them.

Tx for nice video. Still 13:36, "send them for a 23 h mission" works a bit different. The time duration for a mission counts actually the server running time duration and not real time. In my case (solo) i have to stay for 23 h Online for them to end this misson.

If I play with a Host server and I send out a servant, will the time count only when on the server or will it be calculated for completion?

If it is a dedicated server that is always running it'll keep going while you are offline, but if it is a simple private server then it only runs while you are online

Hey, does anybody know if when you send the servants out are they in the open world? Example: can someone else find my servant in an area and kill them? Or do they just disappear for that set time and come back with loot

If you destroy a servant coffin with a servant, go to another castle of yours and then repair the coffin, can you still summon that servant?
I went to fight a boss when i came back someone broke into my base i dont know how but the door was open when i got back and im pretty sure i closed it and most of my stuff are gone also my coffin and the thing to make servant are red or missing i can’t sleep nor make servant. Did the enemies destroy it ?

what happens if they get hurt? mine got hurt and i had to terminate them not letting me summon them and i could get the loot.

You should be able to revive them in their coffin with blood essences

yes i have done it 4-5 times now, however you can not use waygates even with an empty inventory! :)
Please make a guide about gathering tools, there is an axe drop that gives +50% damage to wood and similar for stone, but is that better than iron? Does higher tier get you more or harvest faster?
Where does it drop so I can go farm for it. I have not gotten one yet?

It still won't explain why I can only select one of my thralls to do missions, I've got one castle, a bunch of thralls with the SAME equipment, same level, same blood quality, normal condition, bound to a coffin next to each other, yet when i sit in the throne I can only select ONE of them no matter what mission I choose. Why is that?
you need to appoint them to the mission ... if not you just choose another one
