Love this! I also consider myself a tattoo collector. The most I've gone back to an artist for are second tattoos, but otherwise I get so fascinated with other artists' styles that I want to collect a little bit of work from everyone. Definitely like a sketchbook :)
I am SO glad I found your channel! I'm getting a half sleeve later today and am so excited. Could do a video about chest/sternum tattoos? I'm thinking about getting a sternum tattoo but am not sure of how being tattooed there is different than what I've experienced on my arms. I love your work and your videos!
Yo! I'm living in Japan now. You should totally travel here. It's a great place and the culture around tattoos is actively changing, so it's a great time to visit.
I'm 15 and my DREAM is to be a tattoo artist. I'm taking Art and Graphics A-Level next year and am arrange work experience at a local shop in the summer. Only trouble is, I have a stammer! Do you think it's possible for me to find success in the industry with a speech impediment or will it be very challenging?
😻 love this! I am a tattoo collector. I did try to stick to a tattoo artist, I wanted that traditional relationship, but I ended up going to someone I didn't put a lot of research into and I made some bad decisions - one of which is continually going back to someone I wasn't happy with but I felt emotionally invested and felt like they understood what I was into. It's like any relationship I guess! You build up trust and respect but to be honest I felt like the artist became a little lazy with me, kind of like I was a sure thing for money and I became unhappy with the work and now I seek out artists I admire. I am in my 30s and my aim (since being a teenager) is to have my whole body covered by my 40th birthday. Children and mortgages got in the way for a good ten+ years but I'm back on it now. Now that I am seeking out artists, it does mean I'm paying more so have to save for longer but I am so much happier to collect this way. It's like my tattoos are almost badges of honour - I'm honoured to carry this work with me but also they're a show to myself how much more I care about my skin/self now, even some of the 'not very good' ones add up to my story and being a collector they all tell my journey and lead into me learning and changing and if I'm really honest they tell the story of me going from self loathing to self care. Some of them will be covered but it's all part of the 'collectors' process to me. I really want to experience a machine free tattoo and also there's people I admire but I know I won't ever be tattooed by (some across the other side of the globe!) but I like to support them by following on social media and collecting their art in other forms like prints etc. I don't feel like I'm just a tattoo collector, it's more than that for me ❤
How long did it take for you to start practising tattooing once giving a position at where you work? I don't want to sound ungrateful and I'm aware it takes a long time to earn trust and experience the basic basics but I have been working at my studio for 6 months now and I haven't been taught a single thing regards to actually tattooing and it doesn't look like in the near future i will either. Just wondering as i know its not a set course and every place is different so wanted to compare experiences:)
Question: when aiming to get an apprenticeship, is it a good or a bad idea to order a tattoo machine beforehand and try to learn to use it? Not necessarily to humans, maybe fake skin etc. Like, are tattoo studios going to consider it problematic and unprofessional, there's a lot to unlearn, anything like that? Could it block you from getting an apprenticeship?
+in5678 i looked into them when I was thinking about learning but decided against it after every shop I went to said they wouldn't take me as an apprentice if I'd learnt at one. Now I know how to tattoo I can see that they're a rip off - there's no intensive course on earth that can take the place of time and experience.
Yeah I live in a really religious country and I'm not religious at all and want a tattoo of Bad Religion's logo I just know most people here will probably refuse to do it so I'll have to go to US or something to get it done.
I don`t think people should get a swastika tattoo. There are millions of other symbols around. People should ask themselves why would they would choose the one thing that is connected to genocide and caused so much pain. Afaik there are still people alive today tatooed with numbers on their wrists or at least their descendents. Imagine them seeing someone with a swastika walking around. I guess people who think they really need a swastika tattoo, that claim not to be nazis, are just trying to be edgy and controversial. Else they would find something other than that to get on their body.

Slim Shannon wow! I'd love that video too! I really love QCKND and would be great to see an artists take on her video 💕
Blossom Dumpling Very true, I hope she'll do it!

Do you accept tattoo apprenticeship at the moment?

Would be best to ask the studio you're looking to apprentice at, as everyone is different!
Totally off topic - what lip colour are you wearing? I love it!
I love your hair, lips, voice, ink, and eye brows alotttttt. You're so sweet
I need to know what lipstick you are wearing!
If you come to Japan, would you try to do a tattoo pop-up?
would love that!
Any tattoo artists or artists that you look up to or are inspired by?
Do you think you can become a tattoo artist with social anxiety?
would depend on the person, but i dont see why not! It's helped me with my anxiety, forcing myself to meet new people all the time
What do you think of tattoo schools
And would you ever apprentice someone who graduated from one

How do you go about asking about a tattoo apprenticeship? Like when you walk in how do you "pop the question" (lmao)?
you seem so nice I'd love to get tattooed with you but I live in south america :/
What about Sweden? ^^

Do y’all think a nun with a skull as a face is offensive?
machu pichu? seychelles? :D
would LOVE to visit machu pichu
Wish more people would know real swastika meaning ^~^
+WolfPupHowls right!
Its still a swastika, that symbol is tarnished.
Derek J.R. ummm... Why Navi Germany swastika is called Navi swastika most of time?

SkylaSternenlocke 45° moved swastika is Nazi symbol not square swastika and learn that swastika is
Dyslexia is not a good quality in a tattoo artist.
