If this is first time watching Standing Stone, and interested in training your dog these guys are the best on TH-cam!!! You need to subscribe to this channel and look at ALL there videos. I’ve been on there channel for a few months and my griffs are 20 and 21 weeks old and I am having Insane results. Don’t get frustrated Ethan and Kay make it look easy it’s about repetition and I PROMISE there way works. I’m sooo happy for there videos. I just want to thank the guy with the pink gun and Kay, I’m so excited to see where it takes me and my dogs. Love you guys for all the help!!!!!!
My puppy also was already inclined to sit so that was super easy. I love how you aren’t asking him to do anything but just reinforcing what you want from him. Love your videos I’m sure I’ll be binge watching them now lol
Great point at the end of the video. Teaching my dog to sit and lie down was super easy. But it proves to be quite difficult to teach him to just stop and stand.
I have been watching your youtube videos for a long time. I just got a pup myself, I have trained my dogs differently but like your methods so I'm going to try to use the clicker training with this pup. You may have answered this question a ton already but I can't find the answer, what do you do or use if you do isn't food driven? My thoughts would be training treats? What if they don't like those treats, keep trying treats to figure out what they like???? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
What is the general opinion about the wobble wag giggle ball for hunting dogs? My neighbors non-hunting dog loves hers. My neighbor offered to give me one and I’m not sure whether or not to allow my dog to play with it.
Hello, I tried to introduce my dog to the vibration collar to improve his recall, but he just started running away from me when I use it. If he thinks it's going to trigger, he becomes much LESS responsive to me. He will even run away and hide under my bed, refusing to come, even if I have it on constant vibrate until he does. It seemed he was scared by it to the point where he wouldn't come to me anymore until I retrained it with positive reinforcement. I am thinking that it's not going to be a good idea to use it with him, but maybe I'm missing something. Any tips?
Love the pup, but the stoping and talking to the camera is bothering me 😂. Maybe it would be better for the pup, if you did the training session record it, then do the commentary after. To each is own, just a suggestion. 😮
It can mess up a GSP when they are being trained for birds, they can end up just sitting when they are under pressure with a bird which is not good! I am learning myself right now i was kind of shocked to find that out because i had been teaching my pup to sit all along and was worried i made a mistake.

So stoked to be seeing reinforcement-based training videos geared toward upland bird hunters and their pups. Thank you!

Absolutely adore GSPs. On my 4th now and foster them for a charity too. Only had one young puppy. They are such characters. He's doing well.
He's already showing that he will be a very smart dog 😁
A beautiful example of operant conditioning.
Clay is cute! But not as cute as Legacy! 😂♥️ Love both puppy series.

What if you already taught your 6 month old JSA to sit already. Is it easy to switch technique ?
He is beautiful , look at him ......

Long story short, teaching something naturally can be a bad thing...??
Don’t care to watch the video but dumb clickbaity title. Yes you should teach your dog to sit
