Hello Shiba-Shiba, Watched your video for the first time. We enjoyed watching and listening to you. You have a very likable personality. Thank you for sharing information. Watching from California.
Hi! Thank you for the comment and I'm really gald you like my videos. California is a good place. When I was a university student, more than 20 years ago, I styaed with a family there and I went to UCLA for about one month.😊
Greetings from Russia and thanks for your video! Im now planning my 1-month trip to japan and found your video very helpful for me. Your english seems perfect!
I'm new to your channel and wanted to thank you for putting so much effort into this video! I'll be traveling to Japan in late summer/early fall and am gaining lots of inspiration. Looking forward to more videos in the future! :)
Thank you Shiba-Shiba for another informative video. The information you provided in previous videos helped us immensely during our trip to Japan last year. We are returning to Japan in 2025 and Shirakawa-go is on our itinerary. We will be staying a couple of nights in Kanazawa and how much time we would need to have a good look around Shirakawa-go, not including the return bus ride. Thanks again and keep up the great videos
Hi! Thank you for the comment. I am really glad you like my videos. I'd recommend spending for 4 or 5 hours for a good looking around and having lunch.😊
Hi! Thank you for the comment. Regrettably, I don't know so much about the route from Kyoto Station to Amanohashidate, so please see the link below. maps.app.goo.gl/pQXQrG3cJYwCzh1JA
Thank you for the comment. Here is a breakdown of the three tickets I had. 1)Basic fare between Osaka to Kanazawa 2)Limited express ticket for the "Thunderbird" 3)Limited express ticket for the "Shinkansen Tsurugi" Actually, I did not need to insert 2) at Tsuruga Station. However, often I hear that many people have trouble figuring out which ticket to put at the transfer gate, so I wanted to let you know that you can insert all the tickets you own without any problems. If you have any other questions, please do feel free to comment again.😊
おはよう しばーしばさん、My friends and I will be coming to Osaka area in a couple days. Hopefully everything will go smooth for us. I am thinking to get the 4-day Hokuriku area pass to go sightseeing in Kanazawa, Toyama, and Takaoka. Is Kanazawa very crowded now? I heard it becomes very famous for tourists now.
Hi! Thank you for the comment. Unlike Kyoto, Kanazawa is not so crowded. However, buses are sometimes filled with people. If it is fine, you can use shared cycles.🚲😊. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.
Hello Shiba Shiba! Another amazing itinerary! Can I ask if it is more convenient getting a 7 day JR Kansai Hakuriku Area pass if your itineray is Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Fukui and back to Osaka? Instead of getting individual tickets.
Hi! As far as I see your itinerary, getting individual tickets is a little better. If you visit one more place such as Himeji, Kanazawa or Okayama (Kurashiki), I think "7-day JR Kansai Hakuriku Area Pass" is better as the ticket covers Shinkansen (high-fare). To travel between Osaka, Kyoto and Nara, the fares are not so high. For example, if you go from Osaka to Kyoto, the fare is only 580 JPY. So, if you buy "7-day JR Kansai Hakuriku Area Pass," you should add the place that can be reached by bullet train. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊
Hi Shiba Shiba! I want to travel from Nagoya to Shirakawago, as well as Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara. Which JR pass would be the most efficient and least costly? The trip will be around 7 days. Thank you in advance.
Hi! Thank you for the comment. How about "Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass"? Unfortunately, this pass does not cover Nara. However, it is not so expensive to travel between Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. For example, the fare to travel between Kyoto and Nara Stations is only 720 JPY and Osaka and Nara 820 JPY. In addition, this pass this pass is valid for 5 days. If you want to enjoy the whole 7 days, you can choose "Kansai Hokuriku Area Pass." This is valid for 7 days but does not cover Nagoya area. It is a little expensive to travel between Nagoya and Hokuriku area. (Bus ... about 5,000 JPY / Train ... about 10,000 JPY) If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊
Shiba, i see in hyperdia, from osaka to kanazawa with ltd exp thunderbird , direct train, while in google maps they only show to stop in tsuruga and continue with hokuriku shinkansen to kanazawa. Which one is correct? Since i prefer the direct train
Hi! Thank you for the comment. The JR timetable was revised on March 16, 2024. Together with the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line between Kanazawa and Tsuruga stations, passengers traveling from Osaka to Kanazawa must now change trains at Tsuruga station. I talk about in this video at 6:10.😊
Starting and ending from "Saionji-hiroba" at Osaka station!!
Nice, another itinerary. Thank you Shiba-Shiba.
My pleasure.😊
Shibaさん、ありがとうございます!来年一月サンダーバードと北陸新幹線で大阪から金沢まで行こうと思います!
コメントありがとうございます。冬の金沢も素敵ですね。良いご旅行を!😊

Is it different application,Turuga station and Kanazawa station?
Unlike Kanazawa Station, Tsuruga Station seems to be simply a transfer station.

Hi, Can we buy shinkansen ticket at tsuruga station?
Yes. You can buy one using the green colored machine or at the manned counter.😊
