Yes. In this video, I visited these places in one day and I mostly used the JR line. Although I needed to walk for a little long, to make an efficient day trip, I used trains, which are punctual. I tried not to use buses. These days, in Kyoto there are many travellers and they rush in the buses, so buses are really crowded. It takes time for tourists to get on and off, buses often cannot run on time. In addition, traffic congestion in Kyoto makes buses delayed.
