In all seriousness, I have never used a string trimmer but lawn mower instead. However, grass in my Summer house has grown incredibly long and tomorrow will use the string trimmer for the first time. And videos from this channel have set my up for success I hope :). I have around 5000 square meters to trim, it will definitely be “fun”. Thanks for all the videos!
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Ba ha ha ha....this man is the reason I started my business! He tells it how it is and isn't afraid to let 'em have it! Safety is important, but after you get 100's of hours behind a string trimmer you either get it or don't.....you can't fix stupid!

In college, we use to rig a trimmer with baling wire when camping out on my buddy’s land. Guess we should of patented that! (less safe though). Great intro!

Great video. I think you are save enough wearing long sleeves, long pants, ear plugs and safety glasses. Anyone can add to that but I think what you are using is enough. I cut grass commercially for 15 years and you get nicked every once in a while but I removed my guards so I could see what I was doing and longer trimmer line. I would like to see a video on your take of trimming shrubs and how you size them up and how much you trim off on an overgrown shrub and how often you do a maintain trim. Thanks for your opinions on lawn care. I think you do a great job showing the life style of a lawn care guy.

I also in many instances also dont use a guard, I find that when I dont The equipment is lighter and I m far more productive. Thanks for all that you do. I`ve enjoyed watching your videos, thanks. I end by saying this "wisdom is the principal thing, get wisdom but with all of your getting get understanding".🤔😎

I particularly loved the rant. made my Sunday morning coffee so much better. Im from Prattville, Alabama, and I definitely understand that humidity! I also use a guard on my trimmer, but I am relatively new to trimming. I will use it for quite a while for sure, but it does make it hard to see my line. Once I get better, ill take the guard off. Great video!
I love your Chanel and sense of humor. They say that a guard helps the engine work better by cutting the line the correct size but I bet cha you cut it the right length from experience. I’m an expert at killing mowers and weed eaters, I need this Chanel please hang around.

When weed eating yards with my brother on his business we only wear our pants the shirts he expects me to wear my eye protection wear and a cap nothing more to cause us to over heat here in the Texas sun. I usually wear safety type boots when I use a string trimmer. That is only because I happen to have them on when I am doing other work where I may need them. I wouldn't want to wear all the protective great in Arkansas either. I do, however, sometimes have to wear a bee veil when going around the gives and that is extremely hot for using a string trimmer.
Man, I just died laughing! probably one of the best video's you've done just based on the beginning. And of course I got some useful information. I totally agree about knowing how to use the tool/weapon. I string trim in flip flops all the time!!! Always wear my safety glasses and usually jam out to music in my earbuds. Does that count as hearing protection? Ha! It was awesome to see you get fired up and on a roll!
I think it really comes down to what type of work are you doing. I've definitely done some clean-ups or weedeated ditches with tall grass and lots of trash/crap where I've thought "it would be really nice to have a mask right now" cause I kept getting pelted in the face with small rocks. I also use anti-vibration gloves when working because I started getting trigger finger last year from all the vibration and was effecting my dexterity. But then again I do jobs where sometimes I'm weedeating for 3 hours straight
@@elainefarley1895 Amazon or even most local hardware type store carry them. They usually have some kind of padding or gel in the palms to absorb the vibration
I wished that I could try that kind of trimmer line never seen that kind of trimmer line before with a thick metal wire in side do you think that trimmer line can handle a FS56 RC string trimmer I have never tried it yet I really want to buy some of that trimmer line it'll last me a while

I do, however, sometimes have to wear a bee veil when going around the gives and that is extremely hot for using a string trimmer.

Man, I just died laughing! probably one of the best video's you've done just based on the beginning. And of course I got some useful information. I totally agree about knowing how to use the tool/weapon. I string trim in flip flops all the time!!! Always wear my safety glasses and usually jam out to music in my earbuds. Does that count as hearing protection? Ha! It was awesome to see you get fired up and on a roll!
I think it really comes down to what type of work are you doing.
I've definitely done some clean-ups or weedeated ditches with tall grass and lots of trash/crap where I've thought "it would be really nice to have a mask right now" cause I kept getting pelted in the face with small rocks.
I also use anti-vibration gloves when working because I started getting trigger finger last year from all the vibration and was effecting my dexterity. But then again I do jobs where sometimes I'm weedeating for 3 hours straight
I could see anti-vibration gloves coming in handy when you are on a long job

@@elainefarley1895 Amazon or even most local hardware type store carry them. They usually have some kind of padding or gel in the palms to absorb the vibration

I wished that I could try that kind of trimmer line never seen that kind of trimmer line before with a thick metal wire in side do you think that trimmer line can handle a FS56 RC string trimmer I have never tried it yet I really want to buy some of that trimmer line it'll last me a while
