    None of his health problems are unusual for someone his age, and is not relevant to facts of the case or whether he murdered Susan. He may appear frail, and in a wheelchair but doesn't mean he cannot walk, and he said he can walk with a walker. The COPD is a self inflicted disease from smoking. He has mental clarity without apparent sign of dementia in this testimony. Durst playing the victim, and wants to tell the story his way. Trying to play the psyche card. He had a privileged life and is very intelligent. A master story teller and sociopath. He deserved to be in prison a long time ago, so if found guilty, he can get time in the end of his life. Then God will have his own judgement. He acts like he can't hear, but hears what he wants. Every one believe he killed his wife, but hid the body too well, no evidence to try him on.

    He is a serial murderer who is finally being brought to justice. Yeah he saw his mother die...that doesn't change the fact that he murdered three people.
    I think the jury will see through his lies and his act. He will be found guilty and die in prison.

    I do believe his “issues” started with his mother’s death. His father was not an emotional parent. All this festered into “bucking” the system and add wealth to that-you begin to believe you can do what you want. Don’t get me wrong-I have no sympathy for what he has done in his life. I just believe the trauma in his early years started the ball rolling.

      @maryb6672 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may be correct, at least to some degree. But IF Durst has the personality disorders that I suspect he has, he didn’t need trauma to become who he is. It’s simply who he is, someone incapable of feeling anything for others.

      @@hummingbirdess8763 The judge ruled any info related to psych is inadmissible bc the defense chose not to call an expert. I don’t recall any mention of diagnosis during the pretrial hearings, aside from the expert they had in Galveston re: Aspergers. But then again, I guarantee neither Bob nor the defense would have volunteered info regarding a diagnosis of a personality disorder. That would have been the opposite of helpful for them. And since there was no mental health defense, the state didn’t have him examined. Bottom line-there is no record of any of his previous diagnosis, aside from the hired gun @ Galveston. But suffice it say, I feel pretty confident regarding his likely diagnosis.

      I suspect Durst began intentionally losing weight months before the trial. Then he insisted on having his head shaved, so his shunt would show. Multiple times during this trial he has refused to cover the catheter bag, in order for the jury to see it. After his Galveston trial he admitted to lowering his chair throughout the trial to appear small & frail compared to his attorneys. Believe me, after this trial ends, regardless of the outcome, he’ll remarkably begin gaining weight & looking healthier.
