"The rumors were true.
As it turns out, Zachary did record at least two videos of his interaction with the malware. And I managed to obtain both of them...
For starters, the game barely looks anything like the original "creepy" version. In fact, version 208.2X resembles your average Super Mario fangame. It would also appear that the current plot is that Mario gets lost and it's up to Luigi and Toad to find him.
Speaking of Luigi - during Zachary's playthrough he was breaking the 4th wall every chance he got, which leads me to believe that either Buggy haven't purged the underdeveloped AIs... Or that Luigi was actually a digitalized person trapped inside Buggy's game.
Luigi also covertly communicated a certain cheat code to Zachary in the second video - "ULRLDDUR", which is a sequence of the following input commands: "Up", "Left", "Right", "Left", "Down", "Down", "Up", "Right". We never got to know what this code does, because it seems like Buggy disabled the cheat codes before it could be inputted.
We also get to see a part of the mental digitalization process at the end of the second video, just like the rumors claimed.
Now that I know how the "game" actually looks like, my next goal is to get my hands on it.
To find out what the cheat code does.
To meet Buggy.
I want nothing more than to erase that atrocity.
For what it did to everyone who fell victim to it.
For what it did to my Andrew."
Luckily, I do have an additional lead.

I love how almost everything if not all is made in SMBX2. It doesn't look like a barren creepypasta game without anything to play through but actually like something you can have fun playing

I really like how the plumbers' "false" designs are handled in this series. They wouldn't be too freaky just having their transformations on their regular color schemes or even just their "classic" NES style color layouts. Also miscoloring their gloves and buttons really helps give it that extra touch of being unsettling; like an offputting crappy bootleg toy, or a shapeshifter who isn't getting all the details correct of their intended appearance.
Pretty sure the colors are just swapped like in the old show

My guy, this is /fantastic/. I love the atmosphere a ton, especially with how the players actually feel like... well, players. The way they hesitate or double back adds so much character!

It’s cool to see Peach (or whoever it is) again! I wonder what Luigi’s and Peach’s intentions are.
Luigi appears to know what happened to Mario, as we see him tell toad to turn back, before Mario is shown to be not normal. Luigi doesn’t appear to really care about finding Mario, just keeping everyone away from Mario.
Peach is just there.
She didn’t really do anything, so far as we know she’s the only one who tried to fight wario, she burned, then turned into…. Idk i can’t tell you what that was. I can’t tell if she got to go free or was possessed by wario. She just wants to stop the “false god”, probably referring to wario.
Both of them appear to stay inside of their separate games (The Power Star Project and Wario Apparition: Corrupted Data), although we did see peach in Power star project, so possibly she can travel through the games like wario is seen to do in this one?
I admit that this series of power star project videos have been incredible, and the story of how a one-eyed evil entity gets into an ambitious super mario world fangame and possesses all the main characters that are in this game, torturing them in process, it's really amazing. Besides, the dedication you put into creating all those levels in the fangame is admirable.
Seems like after ehat happens to "Peach" during the events of number 7, after Andrew helps contain her in the basement "Peach" is left as nothing but a floating head. The cheat code used before didnt work the first time, but after being digitzed, Ross who is now Toad apparently finds a new area that allows him to use the code. Most likely allowing him to be teleported to where "Peach" is held. Attempting to use it causes o) to go after him but is then blocked off by the residual power of "Peach". After "Consuming" her, Toad has the power to combat the appiration.
Greenlight can I say that you are the only person I have EVER seen manage to make the Wario apparition scary and that your creativity and talent for making very scary and surprisingly realistic horror content is trough the roof!
Keep up the good work! And if ever you need to take a break feel free too :D
I love to think that Peach is finding a way to fight the entity that's inside the game. And using us to help fight it back.
I also believe that this entity was part of the Kirby one with the whole Ring eye thing it all seems too familiar

From the comments it looks like that tapes 1-4 we were seeing everything in the POV of Andrew AKA “Player #122” but something happened to Andrew(probably dead or something) between tape 4 and tape 5 and now we are seeing the POV of Zachary “Player #123”

I'm a huge fan of this. I even love the normal game stuff, stuff like Luigi asking to take a commemorative picture in one of the earlier parts, it's awesome.
Welp, I was wondering how this community in particular was doing. And while this is super impressive work you deserve more recognition for, it's not enough convince me to return back to that community, especially after becoming invested in SRB2 modding scene.

Theory posting, spoilers obviously.
A lot of time appears to have passed since last playtime given the lives and how recording has started in the middle of the game with things going as normal. Luigi serves The Entity as a puppet and does his likely intended purpose, which is say a few NPC lines and allow the player to save. While in the middle of playing, Toad stops in place and tries to do the code Luigi gave the player again before The Entity quickly intervenes and traps them and the player in another dangerous game.
Mario swoops in from the blackness like some sort of ghost and tries to catch toad, getting close enough causing his face to turn a low-res version of skeletal, sorta similar to Luigi which to me implies they're both dead although Mario seems to serve The Entity obediently. Toad escapes for long enough to make it to the Princesses' castle grounds, which bars Mario from entering. The castle is now black, a suggestion of how Peach has slowly twisted and warped in her confinement and potentially torment.
Peach appears in a deteriorated state to give herself to the player, granting them whatever sort of power but I think it's potentially access to cheats. Wario tries to lock the game in another fatal error but Peach fights against this, laughing while she recovers the data and likely breaks down the last of The Entity's defenses. I think it's the grand showdown for next episode... assuming things play out as intended.
There seems to be a mix of creepy pasta.

Well from the games perspective, it seems like wario was the first to be taken over by whatever that eyeball seems to be, more than likely number 1#. After which it seems that the other characters seem to be played by other people. I think that peach was probably one of the first few who was attacked by wario,but something happened that caused peach to be taken over by something else and had some type of power over eyeball wario. After that it seems that the eyeball wario tried to take over other characters to attempt to gain more control. Its second attempt was likely mario,seeing as hes already been missing for a while when Luigi tells toad. After taking him over I think it uses it to somewhat attack the princess, causing her to lose limbs and other parts. It might be that multiple people played the role as mario just to lose,and used as a pawn to attack peach since wario was scared of its power. At some point it must've locked her inside the dungeon area to prevent being attacked or for peach to get help. Luigi was probably taken over by a portion of peaches power and uses the help of other people in an attempt to free itself. Seeing as wario had mario deemed as 122 and someone else was playing and called 123 it seems that wario can only give control to 3 characters of his choosing to a real player. Mario and peach were more likely used till peach gained some kind of sentience and was locked away. Luigi being taken over by peach and mario who wario more likely uses for the numbered players. That explains why Luigi and peach were locked away with only a playable mario. Luigi on the other hand seems to be enlisting help of other players using toad (who btw uses a different health system) and attempts to get them to find mario (who coincidentally is patrolling and attacking near peaches cage). It seems that one of the toad players ignored luigi and went into the new pipe that appeared (probably placed by wario) to derail them and get rid of them. I have a few more takes on this but I'm a crap writer and bad at explaining what I have in my brain without rereading and rewriting.

The best ending: toad gives up being a mayonnaise for wario and pulls out a gun and starts an epic battle toad takes his last shot and killing the wario and so the corrupted date is dropped on the floor and touch takes the corrupted date and throws it into the lava causing it to melt and making the characters normal transformation and toad save the world

Is the unknown thing in the end of episode 6 related to Princess Peach?
The character Toad meets in the hallway is in fact the same Princess Peach from episode 3. Everything that happens after the error screen appears is Buggy's doing, you'll find out what that was about in later episodes, though there are a couple hints lying around already

For the plumbers that are affected:
Mario's shirt becomes blue instead of red and overall become red insted of blue so basically they switch colors of their "default" self.
I think it represented that Luigi was already gone ever since and Mario was the only normal one until he was caught by "Wario".
That means it's another hint that for when they're affected
Just like how Wario's color of his shirt and overalls were switched when he was possessed in the 1st video of The Power Star Archives.

apologies if I'm just not getting it since I'm just skimming through the videos from my recommended but why use a VHS filter if the description implies these were all recorded rather recently? I get that's what these types of videos use hut typically it's cause the context is that it's in the far past hence Analog
this far into the series it probably would be better off just keeping it as it is tho :)
just thinking out loud now, but I think something like editing the Fraps or Screencast UI into a video could be interesting for an "Analog" horror series that takes place in the 2010s/2020s internet

This series takes place in an alternate 2022 where technologies differ from ours. Before a certain plot point each playthrough of the game would be automatically recorded by a built-in recorder and the recordings would have this filter applied to them (that's what the January recordings are).
As for the June-July recordings - they were recorded by people playing the game, so better recording softwares were used, but since the main antagonist liked the VHS aesthetic so much the more recent versions of the game rely on shaders to recreate it (you can actually see that the game looks slightly different in part 2/4 (version 208.2X) and 6 (version 212.2X) - that's Buggy readjusting the shaders between different versions)

Since I had nothing better to do I but together what I think the current timeline is (Yeah say it's crap or whatever but I tried.)
So first is well TSPA 1 where wario is controlled until the are taken over by the entity
TSPA 3 comes next since at the end of TSPA 1 peach is selected
TSPA 5 comes next since this is the best place to put it due to 1. Mario is the only unlocked character 2. Toad goes looking for MArio after Mario goes missing
TSPA 2 comes next then TSPA 4 then TSPA 6 my reasoning is TSPA 4 tells the player to go back to the first level aka the level TSPA 2 was and TSPA6 is last becuase the name comes from the secret message in TSPA 4
