This is not the solution since Picture size option is simply not available for all apps/sources. You were in Netflix which doesn't support this function and then you switched to standard input where the option is available.
👎 doesn't work. You're only changing the picture size for the TV source so how is this going to work for the app when you switch back? This video is a waste of time.

Thanks For the Video, unfortunately it didn't work for me but what I have found that worked is I went in the menu to support and in self diagnosis at the bottom there is reset which will reset the TV to factory settings and you have to enter all your information again but it worked for me.

For those who are having problems because it didn’t work for me either try soft reseting your tv that worked for me turn your tv off with the remote then unplug it from the wall and wait 60 seconds then turn it back on and click the settings button on the remote and go to picture settings it was fixed after I did that

Hello. I just had my tv repaired due to backlight issue. I noticed that even they changed the backlight, my tv look quite yellowish unlike before. Is it something to do with poor backlight they replaced or this can be fixed through picture settings?

Set your screen picture size to custom instead of 16x9 and turn on fit to screen, that seemed to fix it for me. The fit to screen auto was greyed out and so for each channel id have to set it to ON on every time I turned the TV on. But now it seems to stay on custom and for to screen stsys on.

Select it. Now you can switch to Netflix or other service and the picture will not be super large, but it will be in 16:9 format or less depending on the programming.
@@Emali33 Yes he can but with a streaming stick using hdmi. Hdmi input connection will allow access to picture size settings. He can go to custom zoom 24% and crop 4% off the sides and the movie fill his TV widescreen with no black bars. I use my Amazon fire stick.

Just using a fire stick in the hdmi input. The fire stick has Prime video. Once an hdmi source is connected such as streaming stick or box or bluray player, the picture size settings become accessible.
It didn't work on my tv so not user friendly and so p$%ed that I grew up with tech and now feel old tgat I can't figure it out! It shouldn't be this f$%king hard

I use my Chromecast to stream all my apps, the only way I was able to bypass the issue.

Found out why mine was grey. For some reason Samsung had put my tv box in PC mode, went to sources and changed it to Cable Box

I did it it only changes it for the app you do it in. Once you change it and then go back to Netflix it will auto reset back to 16:3
