I am so happy that it was mentioned how he tried to make Alex look bad by not defending the abusive narrative he created. To me it was always obvious that he was going out of his way to tarnish Alex's image, while she was going out of her way to protect Tim's image. Another example is when he was breaking up with her and he mentioned "As soon as the cameras left, you fell asleep" He was trying to create a narrative that she was fake in front of the cameras. Yet he never mentioned that she had a night shift, nor that HE left the house when the cameras left. He constantly tried to cast Alex as the villain for things like taking naps or not replying to texts, but once we heard her side, it became clear Tim was always leaving out crucial context. Another example is when he tried to cuddle and claimed she didn’t care, but conveniently left out the fact that she was asleep when he did it. 🙄
at first i thought they didn’t like each other mutually, but tim was just not ready for a relationship and alex was never able to let her walls down yep he was very calculated in not correcting people about what happened. I’m so sorry that happened none of these men were up to par, NONE!
I liked her a lot more coming out of this interview. she was very balanced and fair in sharing her perspective. She is a beautiful woman and I hope she finds happiness.
I believe the reason for his breaking up - was Tim was too mentally weak for Alex, he couldn't impose and dictate the rhythm of the relationship. Alex was too non-chalante with him, which explains his rage at the break -up.
I agree I think Alex’s non chalant attitude bothered Tim the most. Alex observed Tim and was very careful about what reaction she gave him. Even at the reunion it seemed he was still trying to get her attention and see a reaction to something.
For all the naysayers against Alex…bet if you speak with any of Tim’s exes, the script will be the same. He leaves at the slightest bit of conflict or when he doesn’t get his way. He has a ton of NPD traits, calling her abusive when it’s really him that’s verbally abusive. How he has to control the conversation, “Are you gonna let me speak?”. This guy is not compatible with any reasonable person or any person that ever disagrees with him. Alex dodged a bullet!
Alex girl!! The short, lighter hair is everything on you. Your reunion dress was my favorite you have so much talent! Your story on the show was kinda bogus they hardly gave us a story at all I'm certainly rooting for you ❤
36:43 I have been shouting this all of over the internet; I hated how he let the internet run with the narrative that she was abusive. He let that go on for far too long until she spoke up at the reunion. That was bothering me for the longest time and honestly made me very concerned for her.
I’m not on social media, thank goodness! I will say that this is very good interview where we see Alex as a person. She is caring, and kind. I remember how tears flowed down her cheeks when Tim was revealing his deep pain after losing both of his older sisters. She felt his pain, and was honoured that he chose to share that with her. LIB only gave us snippets of interaction between all of the couples, which accounted for conjecture from viewers. I can recall thinking that Alex was lazy, and seemed tired most of the time. I also saw that she was feeling a bit overwhelmed with her interactions with Tim. I also noticed Tim’s military style of laying down the law. It seemed that she had to accept his word without explanation. Whereas she needed him to work through his angst, with her so she could understand him more. Tim had formed this bond with Alex because of her shared experience of dealing with her parents chronic illnesses, and his family’s deep losses. Trauma! On both sides. Tim has a lot of healing to do, and has issues dealing well romantic relationships. His mother referenced the fact that he doesn’t open up easily etc. it was obvious by the time Tim found a reason to break up with Alex, that she was over him. She could see the difficult road ahead, and I totally understand her reaction.
It’s so weird people could be friends with someone who doesn’t share their values because I can’t be friends or a community with anyone who does not see the humanity in myself or marginalized groups
Love Alex and this interview 💜 Can't wait for her designs ! Her dress at the Reunion was an Art ! I felt so much empathy for Alex, especially her trying to find understanding with Tim at the Reunion, who was so manipulative and playing the victim, throwing illogical argumentation each time faced with facts, and never took accountability !
Omg ...not his sister's hat on top of the bracelet and then he didn't realize that he's grieving or doesn't know that he needs therapy? Also he doesn't like to be touched but she's physically affectionate 🤨
Wow. I always felt something was off with Tim and yes, Alex also had her faults but this interview gave us so much context that the show failed at doing.
Thank you for such a kind comment & for taking time out of your day to watch the entire interview. The show leaves so much context on the floor of the editing room. So sad!
I totally see Alex’s side but I don’t think he called things off just to get the sister’s car. As women we have to simplify things when it comes to men. Tim simply wanted a way out. Period
I would never understand the obsession with wanting to submit, if you need me to cower you to things you gave your work to be consistent on in this relationship, I’m not doing it
I like Alex. I do disagree with the women of this season being painted out to be villains. I think this bunch for the most part was. Monica and Hannah were bitches, straight up. After the reunion Marissa and Ashley showed themselves. So the criticism is warranted imo.
I don't think she meant it as a generalization but for the circumstances she provided where Monica was criticized for missing signs with Stephen, being 'materialistic', and the comments that were made towards Marissa's mom. Also, the edit Alex got truly feels not representative of how their relationship was. TY so much truly for listening!
Hmm..she was trying to protect Tim on camera but calls him a lil a** b***h on camera....I think that along with her lack of effort in her home visit as well as when his folks came is probably the reason why it was best for him to call it quits...She didnt like him anyway and is only surprised that he ended things first....No way was she going to go to the alter and say yes to a lil a** b***h

He was being super playful and fun when they first saw each other face to face and Alex kept acting as if she was turned off and complaining about him calling himself a dog. 2 sides to every story. Alex isn't the innocent person she portrays herself to be
There are absolutely two sides to every story. I'm going to reach out to Tim to see if he would like to provide his with the same compassion that I gave Alex. I hope I can make it happen. Thanks for listening!
Not a fan of her. She never takes accountability for being lazy ect. And people go easy on her thinking she has depression ect. even though she never mentioned it.
It's always been interesting to me how housework or potentially leaving some dishes in the sink can negate all of the work that she does outside of the home. She was working 3 jobs at the time of filming and I feel like if she were a man, her low energy would be understood and there would have been a lot more compassion towards her going to bed without doing them. Just my opinion!
Wait where was the accountability 😂 for Alex behaviours. Calling a man a b word was glossed over but the moment Tim said yall on reunion we could spot misogyny so quickly. Where was Alex held accountable for joking about wanting to push his boundaries, or the fact she not picked on the show?
she was very kind to tim and said many times he wasn’t a bad person. She it’s the right to tell her side especially after he went on a smearing campaign.
Why do y’all think that people can’t tell their side from their point of view. Y’all are so obsessed with accountability and missed the purpose of the interview.

This is painful to watch. Alex says she takes accountability? At the reunion she doubled down on calling him a little b and said she called him that because he was acting like one. Alex says Tim types paragraphs on his IG but aren’t paragraphs shorter than her doing interviews? Like, what’s the difference? They both are giving details and contexts so why is the medium important? Alex said she needed time to clear up “abusive” but Alex is only just now clearing up her not feeling “safe” is with her heart and she didn’t mean she didn’t feel safe physically with Tim. Shouldn’t that have been just as clear prior to now? Alex said Tim told her IN DETAIL why he was different which was adjustment to the cameras. Because Tim was DETAILED, Alex could tell the casts why he’s different yet when she needed space she wasn’t detailed with Tim? The host of this podcast glossed over so quickly with Alex calling Tim a little b. That’s wild! Alex also said “call me out my name, whatever I don’t care.” That was telling because it shows she doesn’t think it’s a big deal when it’s a huge deal to men and completely emasculating….in an interview where the host insinuates Tim gets emasculated easily.

Completely disagree. Tim literally told us he bought a shirt because a girlfriend didn't like it. That's an antagonizer. He likes to push buttons but at the same time is hypersensitive about his buttons. Everything in the show should be read in that lens. He demanded she cater to him while not communicating his needs and while disregarding her needs. And then the one time she tries to get him to stop screaming at her, he's suddenly a DV victim.
