    I had to switch away from vmc ice jigs because the very end of the hook points kept bending over after normal use. Thought I got a bad batch but happened consistently over two years of fishing them, especially the tungsten fly and tubby. Went back to moon jigs because they are cheaper and never have a problem with the hooks.

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV

    great video. I normally use plastic/ tungsten or spoons. I was out fished by a guy using tungsten/ grubs. There are times when it gets tough & live bait/ downsizing makes the difference. Be flexible.

    I am definitely ordering the Ice Defense Pro. I had not seen that before watching this episode. I hole-hop and don't use a shack, so I am constantly battling re-freezing holes and iced over line. I don't expect it to be a perfect solution, but it seems like it does a decent job.

      @S.M.C. Kennels you don't fish beside people so close it interferes with each others sonars or flashers. You don't fish another guys holes when they are still there fishing hole hoping back and forth its rude. It's like setting your tree stand beside another guy. Yes share spots but if I don't know you why would I want you so close its uncomfortable. I'm from Ontario Canada we don't have a 10 or 15 foot rule but we do respect each other space . At least 40 yards or better . Let the person drill their grid of holes and fish.

    • @danielweber7980
      @danielweber7980 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It gets difficult when you’re fishing a very specific piece of structure. Spreading out further isn’t an option. That person next to you probably doesn’t like it anymore than you do. But sometimes that’s the only place holding fish. 10 feet away is no good. 🤷‍♀️
