@@MakinEmAtNight26 My original comment was just referring to the general concepts of where to find the fish, not exact location. Apologies if it came off that way.
Very nice catches, and only 2 pools away from my area! Cant wait for that river to thaw out.... also, I'm assuming you didnt film this yesterday, cuz we got a foot of snow yesterday lol
I do this from shore and its killer but if you dont have patience dont bother. I caught a nice 17 1/2 keeper doing this. I was dragging the jig ridiculously slow.
Must be nice to have the option to be off the ice and take a break from ice fishing! We've had no safe ice this winter at all in Ohio. Erie didn't even try to freeze over!!
Honestly I've not heard a peep but if you want some info you can trust give trappers landing a call and ask for Josh. He'll point you in the right direction and won't fill you full of hot air.
Great video guys ! I could use a couple buddies like you guys down here in pool 14 , I can’t seem to drag them off the thin ice this year ...keep up the great work you lucky bas...dogs !
@Pat McSharry ok, just curious. I've heard some stories about them locking up and really drawing the batteries down while winter fishing the river there. Maybe the newer model Kotas eliminated that problem. Thanks for the reply!
Nice video guys! FYI, don't leave anything in your vehicle when down there guys. You will have a broken window when you come back at any of the launches.
Nice episode, you made me heat up my garage and sit in the boat for a while LOL
👍
Y'all hit every answer to every question I could ask. Well done!!!
I live exactly 2 1/2 miles from there. So many big fish and usually zero pressure. I find myself only going to the river most years.
Yessssss another video I have been looking forward to all your walleye targeted videos do I can learn more about them
Thanks for sharing. Those were definitely some nice river walleyes. January on the Mississippi. Great!
Some of the Best days fishing were on pool 2. I had a house right there on the river in Newport...S of the 494 Bridge
Now that was a great show Pat and Calvin them were some nice big eyes. Thanks for sharing
great job Calvin love your videos keep a great job thanks..
Appreciate that you showed the contour map and explained the areas you were targeting.
Except the map was pool four
The spot on the spot never shows the exact area we fished. We share concepts, not fishing locations.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV amen!!! I didn’t say where it was. Just where it wasn’t

@@OutsidewithTom lol no big deal. Not trying to be an internet d bag either. Just found it funny they put p4 for the map Fish on!
Great to have you back on fluid water. Can't wait for the next shows.
Excellent work gents.
I agree!
Good way to snap a rod, glad I’m not your rod sponsor lol. Great fish! Always love early season eyes on the rivers.
Very well done.
Thanks Ed! Appreciate you checking out our video!

This was filmed a week ago. Spring can't come fast enough now!
Nice eyes man😎 no shortage of food for those fish 👍👍
Amazing video really enjoyed it keep up the good work guys
Thanks EDB!
Makes me miss being in the boat, definitely a nice mix up from hard water!!

What line are you guys running also do you tie a uni knot to Fluro? Every time I go out when it’s this cold everything freezes up!
My last canoe trip my cousin caught a 29 inch Walleye of 6lb

What launches are still open to get near this area right now?
Thank U very much!!!! 😁😘
This is awsome
It's SUPER COOL!!!
What rods line/leader set up were you guys using?
Going to trapper landing on leach lake MN this weekend. have you heard any thing good about the walleye and crappie bit.
Honestly I've not heard a peep but if you want some info you can trust give trappers landing a call and ask for Josh. He'll point you in the right direction and won't fill you full of hot air.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV thank you
HEY! cal you gonna save some fish for pat!
Did this today on the Saginaw river. It’s freezing back up!
We've been hearing there's been a good open water bite up there!
It has been but they are slow again this week
What is the name of the mount the fish finder is supported by?
What access is this?

Thanks 310!
Nice episode
Definitely!
Lol! the spring fever just hits me
I think a lot of people are ready to transition from ice to open water. 👍
Pat, what type of grease do you guys use for the MinnKota in that cold water so it doesn't freeze up?
@Pat McSharry ok, just curious. I've heard some stories about them locking up and really drawing the batteries down while winter fishing the river there. Maybe the newer model Kotas eliminated that problem. Thanks for the reply!
I've had better luck Dec-Mar on the river than the spawn, and hardly any crowds. I just hate the road salt on the boat and trailer.
Yoo-hoo!!!
Is that a fishing app you used during your Spot ID? Or do you have a good "all around" fishing app you can suggest?
That's the fishsmart app. It is our preferred mapping app.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV thank you!
Do you guys not wear striker ice gear anymore??
No. We're wearing StrikeMaster Surface suits.
Reminder, pool 2 is a catch and release only pool for walleye!
Shit up

Wohoo!
Please try the megabass dark sleeper.
$6 per swimbaits seems a bit steep.

What boating center is the boat from?
The boat center in Ramsey, MN. www.theboatcenter.com/. Ask for Dean!

deosn't look like pool 2....
Definitely pool 2.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV all that snow must be throwing me off, great catchin!!
This pool 2 show is from last winter. Check the video post date.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV I already saw that, and my comment had nothing to do with when this was recorded.
