Title: Boost your Laptop's Speed
irl - how to save battery life on a laptop
excuse me what
i guilty of keeping my laptop plugged in don't know why but i just feel safe when its plugged in.
Its better to use the laptop plugged in. Modern laptops are already using the energy directly from the charger instead from the battery. So its completely safe
NEVER EXPECTED MY FAV TH-camR TO UPLOAD THIS THANKS A LOT YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

The only bad thing about an SSD is frequent writing and deletion of data tires it out.
1:30 it's actually enough. Laptop usually goes to hibernate mode that usually takes no battery use. Terminating apps and shutting down laptop actually takes power, so why not just freeze everything and come back later?
@@rampardosms True, but what specifically becomes slower? If we're talking about how windows is slower over time, just format and reinstall windows which works 100% of the time. Storage wise, computers write speed do tend to slow down as the hard drive fills up.
@@rampardosms CPUs and Ram won't fail you atleast for 10 years given how 2nd hand cpus are generally more resilient than any 2nd hand pc parts while Ram could last you 8 to 12 years.
I keep mine plugged in all the time too, I got a gaming laptop so my battery life is short already about maybe 3hrs and 30mins give or take. I keep mine on the balanced setting for when not gaming
So helpful when I’m editing my TH-cam videos while not being plugged in!! My Mac dies so quickly 😡
I recommend all of you to follow 5-95 rule(which is not a rule actually) to make your battery last long. Plug in at 5% and off at 95%.
@@juliamarian as in the video.. u get to use full charging cycle and you neither drain full nor load the battery full thus decreasing stress on it. I also recommend the same for the phone. You won't believe my phone battery lasts for 2 days!!
keyur unadkat that probably my issue!! I use till it dies and charge till 100 and plus some 😳 lol
I do have a laptop but I don't use it anymore, but I am a mobile user and a pc user. For mobile, I charge it after it reaches 0%. I also, turn on Low Power mode because I don't have to wait around 1 hour to fully finish it's cycle to 50 - 80%.
4:25 my laptop performance drops down by 90% when its unplugged so if it gets accidentally unplugs I notice it by the performance
0:15
Many apps like WPS Office or Roblox Studio have backup features that save a copy of the file you are working on, and if the computer gets shut down for whatever reason, the next time the app is started it'll pop up with a message.
li ion battery saving thank you my laptop needed this it works!!:)
I literally have not unplugged my laptop in 2 years
There is no need to unplug the laptop, The modern laptops have an inbuilt system and power management circuits on the hardware so you are probably not using the battery when plugged in.
The LG I have has the option of charging the battery up to 80 percent to prolong the battery life. I keep it plugged in when at the house. After all I bought it for performance.
Too late. My laptop is all messed up now. But I knew some of those tips already. But good video as always
I love all your videos !!!
Very informative
I always leave it plugged in since it just sits on my desk all the time as it is too large and heavy to carry around and I thought that when the battery is fully charged and the laptop is plugged in, the battery is completely ignored (something which I'm pretty sure it's true). At least on Windows...
I also believed that WiFi and Bluetooth only use battery when a signal is sent over them (maybe that's if they are already connected) and that Bluetooth doesn't constantly search. WiFi I know constantly searches for all networks that you have selected automatically connect which is also a security flaw as someone can spoof those WiFi networks and then steal all data paint through it. But I believe that it is only for networks that you have selected automatically connect, so either turn that, or WiFi itself off to face battery and improve security.
I leave my laptop plugged in all the time. I have it on top of two 1x1 lathes that keeps it fairy cool. The battery I replaced last December lasted me since 2011, not bad since I use my laptop ALL DAY LONG!!
@@pankajshinde1366 Yes it's safe because once your battery is full it stops charging and it works on power only, atleast that's what the Lenovo service guy told me.
"Clear the junk files" That's what I do on my tablet every 8 weeks
Nice video! Keep it up
I'm just glad I only have a desktop
The SSD upgrade was probably the only thing relevant in this video as it makes a huge improvement in performance
2:59 if you keep on table it will also blocked
basically he is saying do magic and hang it in air
No.😇..there is a table made specially for laptops...💻...it bring out air. There are tiny air conditioners under it...😊 ( new technology😎) { i have one ✌🏻}....by the way, he meant to do anything but not block the air.....and he is correct...its common✌🏻✌🏻
This video was very helpful 😃😃
You post this topic literally every week
I love this video I'm so glad they made one like this
for me, I keep my laptop plugged in when I know im going to need a lot of battery life and then I keep it unplugged until the last minute when im at home.
I first see the situation and then decide whether I have to plug it now or after
Why am I even watching this when I don't have my own laptop. 😂
@@IMRANAHMED-oe3ud My parents have high end laptop but, I can't use it. 😭😭
I do use conversation mode..(lenovo) 55-60% juice level. Daily turn on computer by battery and drain 2-3% more that way it's ready to charge upto 5% daily or twice a day in morning. Thus modern li-poly batterys don't have any memory effect so I call upon it safe.
So basically to save your battery, you change all your settings to complete opposite of the gaming settings
which is why gaming laptop battery is bad compared to regular laptop battery
i mostly keep my laptop plugged in bcoz i play some games on it so it drains more battery and also whenever i plug in my laptop while playing then it enhances the performance
I plug my laptop in when the system says, "The battery is low. Plug the system".
Thanks @Bright Side
I always have my laptop plugged to the power supply: **Laughs in Lenovo battery software**
Blue
and I always let my battery drain so thank you for the advice
thx bright side u helped me I didnt know that can drain the power so thx
When my laptop is about to run out of battery it turns off but it actually doesn't so I turn it on and all the stuff I had saved.
i think its a function so it avoids getting drained completely and losing whatever it is running, brilliant function it is!
Really helpful👍🏻
i keep my laptop plugged in for months sometimes because i limit the battery to 60% which makes battery last a lot longer when ur charging for so long
I'm not 1st
I'm not last
But when brightside posts
I come fast
@@johnpureza1600 you're obviously a no life to comment on a 9 month yo comment
bright side: don't keep your laptop charger pluggin' all the time
gamer: gaming laptop goes brrrr!
I just never unplug mine 👍🏻😄
Simply. Dira my battery stopped holding a charge a long time ago so it’s all I can do 🤷🏼♀️
I recommend all of you to follow 5-95 rule(which is not a rule actually) to make your battery last long. Plug in at 5% and off at 95%.
4:33 Hey brother ! I wonna to ask that if our mouse or keyboard is wireless but work on its own battery so do they consume energy from our laptops?
i keep it plugged in all the time and i saw his previous videos and reaslized how cruel i was to my pc
also my laptop color is gold
Thanks For Valuable Information Thank You Bright Side
Why do you never show your face?
We need a face reveal!!!👍👍👍
I've often thought the same thing how it would be neat to see the person here speaking
Thank you Sir, Godbless
If I switch of Notifications on my laptop, how will I know the latest Bright side videos?
Interesting guy... Great info... thanks
Show should make more videos about mystery cases instead of laptops and smartphone.
And this video kinda reminds me of the other video you made about laptops when you left it in the car where the sun shined in it and made it hot and at the end you had to pay for it😇😇😇
i try to keep my laptop charged. thanks for the tips!
My mother was the type to keep it plugged in all the time and block the vents due to she was always in bed. I have mines unplugged but use it in my bed but got a desk with holes in it but my laptop won't charge anymore.
Bright side: turn off notifications
Me: turns off notifications only on this channel 😎
I always leave my laptop to charge even when it's full.
by what app,did you create this video?
Is it correct to use pc when plug in?
i am the one who plugs in the charger only after my system gives a alert for 3% 😂
Hibernation mode will also still use some battery just like sleep mode also
I wait until its 1% then I rush to my room or desk to get the charger!!
Cool video
I actually prefer to do most of my work on a desktop if possible
Liked for your jolly way of talking
no one:
not even a single soul:
me trying to see the difference between the two laptops in the thumbnail
Many thanks
Well I don’t have a laptop 💻
But great tips tho
I’ll be sure to remember that when I get one
I Hve dell and its in gray and black mix color and do u know I charge my laptop every time so thank you , because of u my laptop will work 1000years. U are the best you tuber in laptops
I keep my laptop plugged in all day because I don't want to run out of battery. It feels a lot safer.😊
When u plugged in it use direct power from line ..not from battery . Battery only used when u unplugged it
@@0Dhru But when I work and plug in at the samw time, the charging speed decreases.
my laptop has been plugged in on my desk for more than a month with no unplug
make sure that when you subscribe to this channel, all notifications are turned off. It will save your battery a lot
I always use hibernate because when I put it in sleep and leave it for like 11 hours my laptop's battery goes down to 13 percent but in hibernate for 11 hours it will stay at 96 percent.
Ill just unplug ny microwave from my comp
Laptop batteries fail coz a battery or two might have failed, its managed by the BMS (battery management system) if one cell fails the bms shuts cuts out power. Also the bms keep the cell voltage balanced

*me for the whole entire video trying to think of a comment when I’m early without a notification*
Best TH-camr of all time 👍🏻👍🏻
I keep my laptop plugged in 24/7.
my laptop says it will only last an hour when it's full charge do you know how to fix that
Bright side: Clean your hdd so it cant consume power to move
me : I have a ssd -_-
Fuller hard drives don’t slow down or waste battery. That only happens with SSD and NVME M.2 storage, not Hard Drives
Nah man, it's true. I've experienced it myself. As my hard drive became fuller my laptop became slower. I've never been more frustrated to open Google Chrome or open a coding applications. SSD are way better. I recently switched to SSD and I love it. It is literally a time saver. But when it comes to long time storage, hhds win. But for me, I love SSD.
Yes, i also will take advice now :)) I charge my laptop when it has 25 battery percentage left :))
The only channel that didn't accept all sponsorships
My bigger question is how do work without keeping it in your desk or lap for that matter
My laptop is without a battery so it always has to be plugged in✌🏻😭✌🏻
My laptop has a feature to keep battery between 50-60%. So can I keep it plugged in 24/7. Please help
👍👍👍 vary useful
