They would sound the same if they had the same exhaust system. Unfortunately regulations limit the sound of the 720s and newer. But the aftermarket is there for ya.

@@mgcharoudinaren't there airport rentals that ARE specifically for the Ring though? I'm guessing they're just a lot more expensive for the insurance.
Fantastic lap! You make it look so effortless! Lovely car and great owner! Good to the Bmers on the ring on your rear view mirror and all the other cars as well! That Amg Merc had good accerlation at the beginning!
It's a nice car but the rev counter is really weird how it cant go up or down smooth and instead seems to have increments like a second hand on a clock
That's because the engine itself isn't perfectly smooth. The needle is following the engine perfectly. It's jumping in places where the car is jumping because the engine is being unloaded.
Would love to see a small display showing what gear you're in. It would be a great help for sim racers like myself who are just starting to learn The Nordschlife. Also a pedal display, that's just for pure enjoyment of watching the heel and toeing downshifts. 😂😂😂😂
This car is amazing, it doesn't care how fast it's going it keeps throwing itself forward at the same acceleration no matter what. It just screams to go faster, so nice.
It doesn’t matter what McLaren it is you just know it will be fast! They’ve always kept weight to a minimum and have stonking huge flat power curves where it matters. Some of the high dyno figures are just pure BS though and Misha was talking crap there. They’re just US dynos with inflated figures
It's always great fun to watch someone who is trying so desperately hard to mantain a facial expression of 'yea dude, all good, just like a drive to the supermarket'. But no matter how hard they try, they just can't stop the 'Oh f#ck, I think I'm about to die and I hope he doesn't smell that I've just shat myself!!!! 😂😂😂😂

ok, dumb question. why wear just racing gloves when not wearing a race suit, helmet etc.? Can understand wearing racing shoes to get the feel through the pedals, but why gloves which would reduce feel/feedback? genuinely curious.
not sure if this kind of active aerodynamics is good or not. when the characteristics of the car completely change all the time. not really confidence aspiring when you might think does the active wing work when I come to this corner 250 kmh
Not the smartest move by the owner, taking a car with a Swiss dealer plate across the border to a foreign racetrack. Technically, the car doesn't even belong to him, and it's illegal.
This kit is specialy made to replace the ceramics by steel on track. Will put back the ceramics later. You won't see a lot of people on track using ceramics. Most of the owners switch to steel
It’s the front and rear so I don’t see the issue! It’s no different to just adding more downforce to the front or rear of any road car. Even in Indycar they’ve used different compounds to add more grip to the front. This is no different.
@@WeirdBrick Well, most novices can’t tell the difference. It’s not so much the tire compound. It’s the tire construction. The Eagle F1s are a very rigid tire. Sure, driving to your local cars and coffee won’t cause any problems. Driving on the limit is an entirely different matter.

I'll say it - the 3.8 block McLarens sound nicer than the current 4.0 block cars like the 720.
I agree. 4.0 blocks may be more powerful, the 3.8 does come with a good sounding engine.
They would sound the same if they had the same exhaust system. Unfortunately regulations limit the sound of the 720s and newer. But the aftermarket is there for ya.
It's all regulations man
The 4.0 could sound good despite the requirement to meet the epa standards out in Europe.
Also the MP4-12C and P1 have the best sound, the header length was changed for 650s and 675LT
Finally a McLaren on the channel!! P11 chassis getting some love
Mclaren on the channel brings back Robert memories 😎👌🏻
I've been wondering for AGES when you were gonna make a video on the 650s! So happy to see you in one
That's a good thing McLaren put a back window to see the spoiler blocking rear visibility
I've got fond memories racing with the 650s in DRIVECLUB, one of my favourite supercars. Didn't realise the wing was that active irl

911 turbo is not supposed to be a sharp sports car tho. It’s a GT car that happened to be very fast on track.
the airbrake stuff is great
The Long Tail 675 version of this used to be my favourite ever!
Great lap, liked the casual conversation and the view of the spoiler. Thanks Misha 👍

Brakes sound warped
yeah may just be the speeds making it sound worse than it is but they're definitely warped. Probably a nice bill to replace those rotors 😂
Yeah, really worrying sounds when braking... surprised Misha didn't mention it immediately
The brakes are actually ok. Don t know why it made that sound but was much better the next day during my track day and no vibration
Common 650 issue, Rear engine compartment glass is vibrating from the turbulence caused by the spoiler.
Lots of noise from the brakes, would say warped but there's no steering wheel vibration - guessing very low on pad material.
I loved the old 3.8l sounds❤
Don't be gentle, it's only a rental!
How many fast laps on a set of tires? Can't be too many. What a drive! Misha looks so relaxed.
The nurb is not eating the tires and brakes much. After 20 laps, maybe 15% of use
